WOW this thread has gone to shit. I will say LJ made some very good points and i expected them from most people especially him, I value anyones opinion when i know they are more knowledgable on a topic than i am. But you have to remember this is a new customer's first experience with a company. Looking beyond all the bullshit sale receipts, my sister in law being a left wing radical, and refunds being put on gift cards... my real question was.... is this how this store operates simply because they KNOW they pretty much have a corner on the market? The answer, yes. Regardless, its all moot now. Mike (my brother) did in fact put his foot down and kept the gun, hell they even went shooting together which i hear went well. Aside from the gun jamming alot the issue is done. Now i just have to figure out if Springfield has a lifetime warranty on their magazines and if so how to go about getting 2 new ones. I bought an xd-9 subcompact for my brother for christmas for 449.99 from Vances. That was with no rebate. It came with all the "xd-gear" bs, but i was really sold when the package included a tac light. It came down to either the full size xd9 or the subcompact, i chose the latter b/c it came with the tac light.

I used Telhio when i purchased my 98 eclipse (which was 3 years ago i believe). They gave me a really good rate, better than any other credit union i shoped. I tried some banks but was flat out told by Chase that "we dont do a whole lot of auto financing so your best bet is to try a credit union", and that was MY bank. Either way, call around all of the credit union's i shoped were able to give me a figure over the phone. EDIT: what are you looking at buying?

You could learn a trade, but i would stay away from the 'lower end' stuff and go for Electrical/plumbing/Carpentry/HVAC etc where there's a possability to make more. My good friends brother works for a fairly large HVAC company, made it past his apprenticeship and is now making $32/hr. Not bad for someone who doesnt have a 4yr degree really.

In NY and NJ they use these all the time, not on any cruiser but for special task force's looking for stolen cars. They'll drive up and down crowded roads reading everyone's plate as they drive by at 30mph, kinda neat yet kinda scary. The first application seem's ok, but when you start mounting them everywhere it will definitly feel like we're living in an ant farm.

Are you still on campus? nothing beats Flying Pizza, although i havent had the campus location's pizza since it switched owners. the one on Bethel still has the same owner and his stuff is pretty good.

Is there anyway she can try and pin a portion of the cost on you? or is it pretty clear that its her decision to send your child to private school then she pics up the tab. No matter how you cut it it will cost you more (uniforms, maybe special literature that might not be provided by the school etc...). However I went to Tree of Life christian school from 7th-10th grade (then graduated from WKHS) and can say as far as level of education it should be the same if not better than public if your paying 3800 in annual tuition. I enjoyed my time at Tree, smaller classes, some cool teachers, you get use to uniform's after a while and its kind of a relief not having to pick out "cool clothes" to wear to school, and believe it or not it actually enjoyed my bible classes. I knew the name of ever single kid in my class (all 53 of them) then went to Kilbourne where my graduating class was over 600 kids. Are you not sure about private schools in general or just this particular school? why is your ex so headstrong about St. Michael's?

Absolutly agree with the astronomical price on some 1911's but honestly the cheapest Sig I've ever seen was 700$, thats alot to me. I THOUGHT FNH priced those 5.7's around a grand? though Ive never shoped for a gun over 500$ so i always kind of ignored them.

Im a Jets fan, Yes not a die hard Jets fan (i think its pretty obvious im a hockey fan first) but if i had to root for anyone it would be the Jets. I hated cinci's gameplan to basically not show up against the Jets last week and "save themselves" for the playoffs. As soon as I heard the 24-0 score all i could think of was, "man i hope we fuck them up next week and that plan completely backfires". I couldnt be happier that we won.
