  1. Best thing you can do is go to a shop with a bunch of different manufacturers and styles of bikes and sit on them all a few times to find out what fits you. You may have luck in trying out different years of bikes as well, the '06 R6 feels like it sits a bit lower than the '07 for example. Also, bikes like the Suzuki sv650 or Kawi Ninja 650r sit more upright which will allow you reach a bit easier.

    Riding

Are you seriously that retarded? or just that baked? Stunting may not be the favorite form of entertainment for most here, but I've never seen someone get blasted for being a stunter. To each their own. I don't have an interest in stunting myself, but I like to watch and would love to shoot some photos of it if the opportunity comes up. People get pissy when people "stunt" around traffic. Time and a place sort of thing. Just riding wheelies isn't stunting.
  3. I ran by UDF on my way home today since there's one near where I work. 6.99 a quart.
  4. My first thought was a small piece or strip along under the bar also, but handle bars are relatively thick and round so I thought maybe wrapping a strip around them might help a bit better. The idea being if it where just along a "side" the vibration could still travel around it due to it's shape.
  5. filling it with BB pellets or bird shot might help absorb the vibration. Just your standard sized BB I would think might do it. Filling it with some sort of gel, sealer or filler might be even better. I'm not sure if anyones tried it before, but wrapping a portion of each side (before the grips) in Dynamat or roofing material might help. The whole idea is to alter the bars resonant frequency. Adding enough of anything to them made of a different material may have an affect.
  6. Yeah we definitely need to get the people in the area together for a meet and greet and/or ride. Get things going around here.
  7. Errrrr the iPhone isn't a smartphone. It's a media phone. Sorry bro but the iPhone is an over priced, trend item. Just like the iPods. They will come out with smaller ones, ones with "improved' capability, and ones in shiny new colors and people will continue to eat up Apples over priced junk. You're not paying for a good product, you're paying to be trendy. Hell the fact that you can't easily replace the battery is a sign Apple is screwing customers. Nearly every other cell phone on the market has a user replaceable battery, on top of that, Apple went through a ton of crap over the battery in the iPod. Internet access that isn't 3G???? Have fun being bent over. The fact that the US is far behind other countries when it comes to cell phone networks is bad enough, not giving you 3G (which we've had for years...) on a phone that costs that much is laughing while they fuck you over. Don't get me wrong it does some cool things. I'm usually the type to go out and buy stuff like this instantly. I was actually excited about this until I really started getting reviews and talking to people who had seen it. After that I (and others) became dumbfounded at all the hype it continued to have. Throw the screen and some of the UI components on a Treo and then you've got a perfect phone.
  8. That really sucks. What's even more BS is the judge he had gone before could have easily suspended payments or anything else, especially since the mother and daughter didn't show for the court ordered test.
  9. Honda makes such kick ass stuff that even the bar in the graph got scared...
  10. Just messing with you man. Hope you heal up quick.
  11. lol yeah I'm actually excited about this too. It's about time Kawi got a kick ass rider. It'll be nice seeing another manufacturer thrown into the mix.
  12. Nick has got to be excited Hopkins finally came out of the closet.
  13. Holy shit dude! That's one big ass paragraph. Oh and sorry to hear about your crash.

    Proof...

It's only used as a scare tactic by morons like Rush Limbaugh. He twists what is actually being found by reasonable peer reviewed research and spins it (like he does most things) into something it's not. Al Gore does tend to exaggerate a bit on somethings, but I've never seen anything where he actually says global warming/climate change is completely man made. Is man having an affect on climate and the environment? Yup. How much are we affecting it? No one knows for sure yet. Only time will tell.

    Proof...

Not proof....evidence. There's never been a real debate over it being cyclical either. The concern has been that there is evidence that the warming may be accelerated.

    Transformers...

It was so enjoyable being in the theater with a bunch of other people to see this that a group of us are considering going back to see it again.

    Transformers...

I was expecting only an OK movie and it may be the best movie i see this summer. Definitely THE summer action flick. My wife didn't even want to go, ended up loving it and was talking about it still this morning.
  19. Great, great movie. Way better than I thought it was going to be. I won't say anything else to avoid risking spoiling anyone else's experience.
  20. Thanks. Yeah they won't stay off them now lol. The oldest can't take it out and ride it right now so he wants to go out and sit on it and start it every chance he gets. Well it was funny...we were checking out all the bikes and my wife asked the salesman if there was something perfect for a newbie, female rider and the guy said, "Oh you want a Kawi then." Nah. It's a good bike. It was fun to ride home and my Dad and I took her out for a ride today. She loves it so far. It's been real easy for her to handle and the seat height is a little lower so it made her feel a bit more comfortable. It's definitely one to add to the list of great first bikes for new riders that they won't tire of too quick much like the sv650.
  21. Ah that sucks. Man I hope your friend is alright. Keep us in the know on how he's doing. Hopefully the guy gets whats coming to him.
  22. Just finished watching it. Man what a great race. Unfortunately the coverage and commentators on CBS are just shitty. It's a first for me, but I went to CBS.com and filled out the feedback form complaining about it. They are going to need better coverage for more Americans to watch. More viewers means more coverage here for us fans.
  23. So we spent Saturday with the wife sitting on nearly every bike known to man Saturday. Well at least it felt like it. After finding one she felt most comfortable on this is what she got... Figured it was time to get the oldest a ride of his own too...
