  1. Damn I hate stock dsm engine bays. ABS is the biggest waste of space on these cars that their is. If you need any advice on getting that tranny to shift let me know... i have many battle scars from fighting with mine.
  2. trek/gary fisher blow big nuts. The best mountain bikes you can buy at shops (local at least) right now are specialized and kona. Specialized makes some bad ass hardtails, the p series are fantastic hardtails for urban jump/freeride, specialized also makes the stumpjumper series if you're more into xc type riding. Kona's fs bikes are killer too... I want a stinky so bad right now, just a bit too much for me.
  3. I just quit my job and I need something new. I'm not really looking for anything in the auto tech field, but something behind a desk, or managerial type positions would be great. I have a lot of experience in various things and 6 years of Ohio State under my belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Theres really no comparison to the power of dsmlink until you get into things such as aem ems and other standalones.
  8. E-manage doesn't even do close to everything that you can do with dsmlink.
  9. E-manage sucks, you might as well get an safc because you can do almost everything with it that you can do with an e-manage. To find an ecu you gotta keep your eye on the local forums for people parting out cars. Check out columbusdsm.com's trader area, as well as the classifieds on dsmtuners.com as well as dsmtrader.com (I think that sites still up) Either way you'll be paying around 200 for an eprom ecu.

  11. if you hit boost without power shifting or launching the living fuck out of it then it'll hold just fine. The biggest issues with our trannies come from trying to shift too fast, and clutch dumps in first gear that break the center diff. The difference between a "race spec" tranny and a stock tranny is basically a stronger or welded center diff, better synchros, and forged shift forks. The gears are plenty strong... it aint a subaru. And if it's an early 1g then your weakest link is actually the 3 bolt rear end.

    I waited on a group of people from there a few months ago. I still have the business card from tantalizing Tanya in my wallet. They were the most nutty table i've ever had, they all had dates and they all were trying to convince me to come and have a threesome, foursome, whatever after I got off. Definitely some ooold nasty girls though.

  18. Allotting funds is actually congresses duty, they're the ones in charge of taxation as well as funding specific programs such as the military and defense. This is one of the duties of the appropriations committee in each leg of the congress. Of course the president can veto or pass anything the congress puts in front of him, however he alone cannot create a piece of legislation including a war funding bill, that is strictly the providence of congress.
  19. I need to borrow a leak down tester with an air tank if at all possible. Most i'd need this is for an hour or two. I had to redo the timing job on the talon and my dumb ass forgot to bolt down the crank pulley, it eventually worked its way almost off the crankshaft, the timing jumped a few teeth and the car stopped running immediately. I pulled off the valve cover to find that all of the rockers have somehow been shot out from between the cams and the valves and are now sitting in the bottom of the head. I don't want to pull the head off to check the valves if I don't need to. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Buy a 1g for 3500 bucks, add a bolt on forced performance turbo, external wastegate, injectors, fuel system, fuel pump, fmic, dsmlink, and an act 2600/2900 and you can be real close to 10's for less than 12,000 dollars. Build the engine and replace the stock manifold and bolt on turbo with a tubular manifold and full garrett and you're in the tens quite solidly.
