  1. no not a dark blue one. Will check the wiring harness... are there any specific connectors I should be looking at?
  2. It is true that the best exhaust for a turbo car is no exhaust. The turbo will provide plenty of backpressure until it's in boost and by that time it doesn't matter either way. However with a stock turbo car such as yours (which i'm assuming you still have the stock up pipe as well) the exhaust size won't matter much beyond 2.5 inches unless you're going to be upgrading your turbo and significantly increasing your airflow.
  3. Any way to tell if theres a lot of drifting "damage" The suspension on the car looked alright but theres a lto of other things on the car that bothered me.
  4. A friend is going to look at a s13 240 with a blacktop sr20det swap today. The car itself has a lot of miles on it and supposedly the transmission is hard to shift after beating on it for a while (a small leak as well from tranny). Is there anything specific that we should be looking for as far as known problem areas? Are the tranny issues a normal thing and if so is there an easy fix without throwing on a new trans?
  5. luckys stout house across from campus gateway has a great selection in bottles... taps are ehh. St. James Tavern at the corner of fourth and fourth by italian village has more interesting beers than you can shake a stick at. They don't have a single macro on tap, I'd say that guiness is their least interesting draft. It is a hole in the wall/semi-dive though and a very liberal crowd.
  6. They were on this morning.
  7. You'll be very lucky to hit 450 with the green on pump gas. It's just not an efficient enough turbo for it.
  8. Did you work at the autozone on bethel? There used to be a champagne 1g up there all the time. I'd suggest honestly staying away from the fp green/red. Especially if you're going to change to a tubular manifold then get a t3 flanged manifold and go with a full garrett 35r or something of the sort.
  9. I just got back from a wedding at columbus country club and I can't think of any place better to hold a reception. Only problem is that you need to be a member or have a member sponsor you.
  10. You'd think so by reading some of this crap.
  11. I do like it actually, in all black it doesn't look too terrible. I think it looks better than the wrx wagon, and I like it more than the vw gti. If you look at different performance minded hatches in the market it definitely beats them all in performance, the audi a3, vw gti, etc. The bmw 1 series should provide some brisk competition especially in 135 trim.
  12. When it runs yes, I doubt I can push it that fast though.
  13. Ask the cleveland guys how they managed. They've had e-check there for years and I know that theres no way in hell cars such as jp's colt or pretty much any of jamies cars would've passed. I was still living in cleveland when I bought my talon but had it registered in columbus so that I wouldn't have to deal with that bs.
  14. No kids in the hall, no upright citizens brigade. This is worthless to me.
  15. didn't chevettes have printed circuit board wiring or something goofy like that? Either way I think a first gen rx7 with a mild sbc with a junkyard twin turbo setup and megasquirt would be a real fun idea. Cut out the rear fenders and install a solid rear end, could be a good time.
  16. that's like a newer crappier version of a v8 gremlin. Do chevettes even exist anymore?
  17. I know of an awd dsm body, I have an extra awd tranny laying around, we just need to find and build a 4g63, weld up an exhaust mani for a big turbo, some nitrous, and megasquirt it.
  18. Ran out of gas and got the car towed thinking it was broken before I realized what a dumbass I was.
  19. How much do they usually charge for something like that there? That's the 350 with 4 bolt mains correct?
  20. In the back of a hyundai santa fe it is faster than a 91 eclipse gs
  21. Because if all you did was dig racing then dsm's would have a chance...
  22. strip as much interior as possible... run two donut spares on the rear and slicks on the front, pull off your exhaust before the cat if possible and with spray you should be able to take them.
  23. remember straight pipe engines sound a lot different when free revving than when they're actually under load.
