Son is selling his car as he has another ride. 1999 Taurus runs great and drives great. Fully loaded with leather, power everything, sunroof, etc. Tires very good, new rear brakes, front brakes good, etc. 168,000 or so miles. * He has driven it to Chicago and back with no problems. A/C does not work at the moment - have never really checked to see if it needs a charge or something else. *Some idiosyncrasies: Passenger rear power window does not work, power locks have sort of a mind of their own. windshield washer hose needs replaced, "low coolant" light on due to bad sensor, minor rust near rear wheel well where they tend to rust, maybe a couple other items. * The only significant thing is that when hot, the transmission tends to not want to downshift to first when you come to a stop. *Once you ease on the gas or manually shift, it is fine. *It has been doing that since we got it, so I am not overly concerned. I did change the transmission fluid and filter during the summer to see if it would help, but it did not. The fluid and pan both looked good - no shavings or grit in it. Short story: it is a solid around town car, and would make a great beater / winter car. REDUCED PRICE - $1250 http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/1999%20Ford%20Taurus%20For%20Sale/Taurus1.jpg Link to all photos: http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/1999%20Ford%20Taurus%20For%20Sale/ Flexible on price.

  4. DC Sports 4 into 1 Header for Honda B Series Engine. I bought this used as I was told it was for a D series, and then when I went to install it I found that it didn't fit the ports. DOH! I was informed that this is in fact a header for a B series engine. To check, the distance between the upper holes on the manifold is about 3.5" between #1 and 2, and #3 and #4, and the distance between #2 and #3 is about 3.125". If you need additional measurements, let me know. Header is very solid and good overall shape with only surface rust. The O2 sensor is by the collector. Has dents on the bottom as is typical, but not excessive. $125 / Shipping extra from Hilliard OH 43026. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/For%20Sale%20Jan%202012/BSeriesHeader1.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/For%20Sale%20Jan%202012/BSeriesHeader2.jpg
  5. Took the curves like a boss? Puh-lease. Wasn't even going fast enough to cause body lean. I really hope for the best though. Right now, there are very few entry level cars that generate any kind of excitement. If car makers want to build loyal buyers, then give them cars that they want to drive, not appliances.
  6. I have numerous parts from a 1991 Honda Civic base model hatchback that I just purchased. *These all came with the car as spare parts, and therefore true condition is unknown. My comments below on condition are based on what the previous owner told me. - Complete D15B1 engine. Intake, exhaust, manifolds. *For some reason, timing belt and cover were removed. *Timing cover is missing. *I have not tried rotate the engine because of this. *Engine is supposed to run fine but burns oil. *Could be valve guides or rings. $75 SOLD - Four (4) speed transmission. Works fine. $25 - Clutch and pressure plate. $10 SOLD The following parts I am willing to give away with the above or will sell individually or as a lot for very cheap. *Come out to get it and make me an offer. - Front brake calipers - Front passenger side axle - AC compressor, bracket, hoses. - Rear side windows - Complete steering column with ignition switch and key, combination switch, steering wheel, etc. - Other miscellaneous pieces. Everything as is, where is. *Will sell all parts listed above for $100. Come out and look and make me an offer. I'd like you to vote for my pal Peter Cline, and the central Ohio-based Team Ohio motorcycle racing team. Pete is a good guy and a solid racer who, like many of us, has been just within reach of the next level of *racing. He has put together a great video of what defines a champion which is worth watching unto itself. Some of you may know him from various motorcycle racing exlpoits and riding programs. 12. Put them on a V-Dub forum. $100 is almost scrap price.
  13. I am assuming the wheel bearings are not loose / worn? And, as AJ said, there is a possibility of a bent hub. It is highly unlikely there are worn bearings or bent hubs on both sides. Are you able to sense whether it is left side or right side?
  14. buckeye, 990mike - sent you PM's.
  15. I would say it does 10 mph. Batteries last a couple days of normal use from what I can recall although if you use it continually I suspect that gets cut back a lot.
  16. This mobility scooter is a three wheeler scooter in very good condition. It was my Dad's and received light use. It has a swivel seat, recent battery, and ramp to load in and out of vehicles. It comes with a charger and everything works as it should. $200 / offers. Need it out of my garage. Might trade for '70's vintage Marantz stereo equipment, '70's vintage Alvarez acoustic guitars, 1988-1991 Honda Civic / CRX stuff, tools, etc. Can help with delivery. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/Junk/Scooter6.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/Junk/Scooter2.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/Junk/Scooter4.jpg
  17. For collectible cars, these are very nice and can be enjoyed regularly without losing much value. They have their share of quirks (typical German over-engineering), but are comfortable and reasonably quick. If it is as clean as advertised, this seems like a very good price.

    WTB: Lexus IS300

Bought one from Lexus of Easton.
  19. I have two that would work great - a vintage Pioneer SX-3500 and a Sherwood R-100. You would need the adapter cable referred to.

    WTB: Lexus IS300

Yes, I looked on the forums. What I found was no better than local cars or cars that were modded.
  21. Looking for an IS300 for a DD. - Prefer a manual (which would be a 2002-2005). - Southern, non-rust belt cars would be nice. - Clean title and Carfax - Color preference: Metallic blue, silver, or charcoal preferred. No yellow or green cars. - Miles are unimportant as long as maintenance records are available and car reflects good care. - Prefer to stay under $12k. The transmission, price, and location are bendable for the right car. For example, I just drove a 2001 black IS automatic with 132k miles and everything right from a condition and records perspective being offered by Lexus of Easton for $8200. But, I just started looking and hate to jump on the first one I see. Email me if you have or know of one I might be interested in. Thanks. Rich __________________
