    Thanks, Brian!

For hosting a dyno day for us autocrossers. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/31rx7/Junk/Everyone2.jpg Like I said, in this group, having the most power is like being center on the midget basketball team!
  2. I will be there Sunday only. I will be running STC instead of SMS to help on the index.
  3. Only a handful of folks registered so far. Looks like everyone will get a ton of runs!
  4. Rumor has it that the course will be the same with a couple of small changes.
  5. From the OVR Forum: So... we were lucky enough last night to have the OVR Board approve our purchase of replacement timing sensors which I have taken care of today and which we will be using on July 1st. (these items were about 2k for a full timing system replacement as our old system was out of warranty and the repairs to the system could have run us pretty high as well) ... this is where race entry money goes after sanctions, insurance and lot rental fees are paid! To keep our equipment functional and be able to replace it when it's not! We were also lucky enough to have July 1st @ OSU come up as an event date that we can use. Based on these things, we are going to reschedule points event 3 to July 1st as June 9th was handled as a fun event. We realize this is short notice, but hope folks understand the demands of getting lots, along with unexpected equipment failures and can be flexible, we do still have 10 points events, and you are still only required to run 6 of them to qualify for the points race. Motorsportreg online reg is open: http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/EBD62065-DCF6-A4A9-B85F610E2A0C6639 This means we have five different days we are running at OSU in July.. it's gonna be intense but an amazing amount of seat time! The schedule has been updated online: http://www.ovr-scca.org/_autocross/schedules.asp there is another another date change that has been reflected, our September 16th date was recalled by NTR & traded for an 8/26 date due to scheduling on their end. Thanks all! Be there!
  6. An event has been added to the schedule. Thanks all! So, once again fear will be struck into the hearts of SMS drivers by the lowly Civic. (Think of the rabbit scene in Monty Python and The Holy Grail - http://youtu.be/oMdSaC5flOk)
  7. It goes, stops, and turns. Made a couple changes (of course) and so it needs aligned but will be OK for OSU. We have three drivers in it tomorrow: me (SMS 92), The Legendary Sean O'Gorman (STC 92), and my wife (not sure which class she will drive).
  8. My business is growing and I need two additional sales people for deeper penetration in existing accounts. POSITION: Business Development Manager – Named Accounts ROLE: This position is to strengthen relationships and enhance revenue and market share at specific named accounts by conducting day to day sales activities within the named account. Specifically, the BDM will meet with hiring managers to introduce Experis and our services, understand the hiring manager’s organization and challenges, and develop and market solutions to help the hiring manager meet their needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: • From a sales perspective, manage the transactional staff augmentation requests received from the client through their VMS tool / process. Work with Experis branch recruiters to generate and submit candidates for these needs. Meet with / talk to hiring managers to clarify needs for specific positions. Gain an understanding of how the hiring manager likes to work, their major projects and initiatives, the types of candidates that work well in their environment, etc. Identify upcoming projects and staffing needs, and position Experis as the preferred provider to address these needs. • Monitor quality delivery of services provided to hiring managers through follow up post sales to ensure client satisfaction. Meet with consultants on assignment to ensure consultants are satisfied on assignment and meeting needs. Address performance / assignment issues. PERFORMANCE MEASURES: • Activity based metrics: o Face to face client meetings per week o New hiring manager relationships established o Number of pro-active needs uncovered • Result based metrics: o Win ratio o Headcount / revenue / gross profit growth o Market share / competitive position within client account. Ability to overcome or avoid obstacles in order to achieve goals. • Demonstrated skills in managing a high amount of activity and tasks, adjusting priorities as required to meet needs. • Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical discipline. Successful related work experience may substitute COMPENSATION: Total compensation is a combination of base salary and commissions. Base dependent upon relevant skills and experience. Commissions are percentage based on monthly gross profit for each consultant and sales productivity as measured by number of starts in a month (ie, higher gross profit has higher commission percent, more starts yields higher commission percent). No limit on commissions. Experis offers all of the advantages you would expect from an industry leader including a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, holiday and vacation pay, 401K, stock purchase plan, and much more. email: richard.grunenwald@experis.com
  9. Ohio Valley Region Points Event 3 this Saturday at OSU Ackerman. Register at: http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/5ECCDB9F-A1A1-F5AE-A6EFA087DC9E02BB I will be there running the lowly, but mighty, Civic in SMS. Unfortunately, I will have to wait for another event to get my revenge on bmwohio.
  10. I run a Civic. Show up this Saturday at OSU and introduce yourself. You can ride along (except on my last run when I get "serious"). Regarding getting started: - Show up with your car as it sits. Just make sure it is safe - battery tied down, no excessive fluid leaks, brake pedal strong, seat belt works, etc. While a prepped car is more fun, you can have plenty of fun with a totally stock car. Most all of us started this way. - Focus on learning to get the most out of your car at first. If a driver like AJ or Craig or me can hop into your car and go over a second faster, then you can stand to improve the nut behind the wheel. You can always spend money later. Ask the guy with the $2k Civic with $10k of parts on it.... - Lots of good info on the OVR forum including how to get started. Go here: http://forum.ovr-scca.org/index.php?topic=838.0 - As Craig indicated, there are pro's and con's to all the clubs. SCCA tends to be bigger events with more structure as needed to get 6 runs to a 120+ drivers. Marque clubs tend to have 30 - 50 entrants so it is more laid back and you get more runs. But, there is also less competition, and the courses tend to be a bit tighter. Try all of them. Like I said, look me up.
  11. Gents (I use that term loosely), the next OVR SCCA Event is scheduled for next Saturday at OSU Ackerman. http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/5ECCDB9F-A1A1-F5AE-A6EFA087DC9E02BB Sign up now for some butt kickin' action.
  12. You should know better than to mess with old guys. We get cranky when provoked.
  13. SOLD Two (2) Goodyear Marathon Trailer tires. Size 205/75-15, load range C. I had these on my trailer and bought a new set. These two tires still have plenty of life and are about 1/2 tread (5/32 - 6/32). One tire is recently plugged. These would be excellent spares or for a trailer with occasional or light use. Most of my trips with the trailer are 200+ miles, so I make sure my tires are top notch. $50 for the pair. These are generally around $110 each new. Always interested in trades for EF Civic (D15 or D16) parts, stereo equipment, guitars, tools, etc. In particular, I need an engine stand right now.
  14. Not sure. I do know that getting proper rest and nourishment is critical to success on track: PE 1 Results at http://www.ovr-scca.org/uploads/ax_results/2012/01_fin_2012-05-06.htm#SMS
  15. Be sure to come out tomorrow and check out the action. The competition begins around 1p so most CR members should be up and moving by then.
  16. There are no gentlemen here.
  17. BMW M3 beats old guy in 1989 Civic by .5 sec. I am sure you are proud. (As the underdog, I can work this both ways!)
  18. The Driver's School in the morning has limited seats. The Points Event in the afternoon is a full event with no limit on entries. However, given the compressed time for the Points Event, we expect to have less runs than normal (shooting for 4, I believe).
