  1. Nice meeting you guys today - thanks for letting me tag along for a while.

I was wearing a Synergy heated jacket and gloves so the cold wasn't an issue - but I had to get back early anyway, so split off from the group in Scio and headed up the 'other' part of 646.

    See you all again soon.

(I was beginning to wonder if Nivin had changed his mind about riding when he was hiding in the [warm cozy] Dairy Queen)

  2. sorry to IP but i think the ugliest bike ever made is a multistrada....the front end of them is just a trainwreck...

Agreed. Even MTS owners admit it.

I admire Pauly's muscle control to be able to suppress the gag reflex each time he walks up to his bike. Perhaps the trick is to always approach from the rear.

However, it is sensational to ride and obviously therefore worth the pain.

The new model is nice looking and I would buy one, but now they screwed with the engine and put a 4 valve in it... :wtf:

  3. He keeps my '99 Supersport humming along like a youngster. I recommend Paul for all your service needs, from a tire change to a full service - the man knows his stuff and has great attitude.

  4. then we could not shoot the bears for you..those parliament wankers would take all our bang bangs...

Those Fontana bears are probably a bit quick for you guys anyway, guns or none. ;)

(I admit I did go crying like a little schoolgirl to you blokes in the OR vehicle when I came across a bear strolling around at Fontana Village... It wasn't so much your firearms but being inside a nice safe automobile that stopped me pants from getting messed.)

  5. you are one of the coolest guys ive ever met bill...cant wait to ride with you again

Hey, you should write your congressman about me and tell him we want our colony back..

x2! Great meeting with ya and attempting to keep up with you :D

    And the legend continues.....

... Got home tonight with cords showing on the rear tire. That is one Contimotion - done!

  6. I agree that a Salvage/Rebuilt title compromises the resale value and therefore is not a good idea for making a profit. However, if you want to buy a bike to ride, and you know what to look for, it's a good option. As stated before, often much of an insurance estimate on a sportbike will go on cosmetic issues. e.g. My Ducati swingarm got scratched on the edge during my crash - more of a scuff really. That added over $2000 to the estimate.. Plastics... forget about it - very expensive to replace - often easy to repair.

  7. My Ducati is a rebuilt title. I bought the bike with a clear title, totaled it after a few years, bought the 'wreck' back from the insurance company for peanuts, paid < $2000 to rebuild it, had it inspected and retitled and have ridden it happily for the last 7 years. I actually made enough on the deal to fund 80% of a brand new 2003 CBR600RR to ride for the period the Ducati was being rebuilt.
