  1. smm. you really running car oil in your busa. that oil is designed for something that redlines around maybey 6700 to mabey 7000 rpms. you need to be running at least a synthetic if your gonna be cheap.

It is synthetic and it is not "cheap" the whole car oil motorcycle oil debate has been going on since before cars existed. Most of the arguments point out that most car oils have a "energy conserving" label on the bottle and supposedly the chemicals added to get this label dont work well with wet clutches.

Then there are those who refuse to conform and buy expen$ive motorcycle oils and the use 15W-50 which is marketed for deisel trucks and it does not have the "energy conserving" label or the additives. I am sure someone can comment further on this.

An even smaller percentage use Mobil1 race oils found here http://www.mobil1racingstore.com/buyracinglubes.html a<-psst the 15w-50 oil is listed here too

  2. I knew what you were referring to...that's why I left the smiley.

Beside my garage is all grass. So that's not happening.

Paying for storage is not an option. If I could find someone to store it for me..maybe slide them some dollars..that might work. I'd probably consider that.

I HAVE to come in town this weekend for mothers day and she might let you store it at her house she has a concrete slab next to her garage. Well, you have seen it.

  3. Only if you get a personal loan through a bank or something like that. BMW financial (who I financed my bike through) does not require full coverage. It's a regular loan. No credit card. I believe Triumph is the same way as well. Actually, I think the only one that requires full coverage is Ducati. With cars, yes. You have to have full coverage no matter what if there is a loan out. Hell, most make you get gap insurance as well.

credit card, personal loan, car loan, they are just names. There is only two types of debt, Secured and Unsecured. Secured means that if you dont pay they take their shit back, they want that shit to be worth something, so full coverage is required. Unsecured mean they just fuck your credit and call you all the time, so you can cover it as you please full or just liability.

Yes dealers make money by selling the debt, so they like loans. If your credit is good enough for you to qualify for a 3% loan and they sign you up for 6% that loan is worth more $$$ when they sell it.

Private sellers like cash and it is one heck of a bargaining chip for people that are in way over their heads.

  4. They are both glycol based and function the same when considering their intended purpose. If you plan on drinking it or dumping it on the track, buy a propylene coolant like Sierra: http://www.sierraantifreeze.com. 25% the cost of Engine Ice, and it meets the same corrosion protection requirements (AS D 3306 and AS D 4985)

If you plan on tracking the bike you really shouldn't be using glycol based at all, even though some sanctions allow it. (WERA prohibits both ethylene and propylene I believe)

By all means, use/recommend the stuff if you like it, I've yet to find a difference. :)

Im with you. How dare that Kosmo guy with the PHD and probably more brains than anybody on this board correct you.

    sarcasm intended ;)

  5. sounds like words of experience to me...

I wish!!! It would be so awesome to be a cop. Many of the OSU cops make six figures with their overtime and "special duty". When I see them just parked somewhere, I can help but think to myself I wish I could sit around and masterbate at work.

  6. no lol! i dont want a car payment and full coverage insurance payment...a car means nothing to me anymore i dont car what make model it is...ever since I started riding back in 06 lost complete interest in cars..i dont dawg them and like to see cool looking ones but not gonna have expensive ones or modify them..if i want to go nowhere ill hop on the broken bike lol :p

    Amen brother

  7. I used to take ambien and I think I need to get some more.

Two warnings, it is a "truth serum" for most so if your partner is the type that would ask you questions that she doesnt need to know the answer to then DONT TAKE IT. I have been told , because I didnt remember, that I would have sex on ambien. Usually there was "evidence" that something happened.

  8. this is true sir

Even when braking hard. The rear lifts and the wheel base gets shorter (look at how the swingarm pivots, the angle of the forks(rake) also decreases.

When accellerating hard the rear squats and the wheel base slightly extends and the angle of the forks increases.

Unfortunately everything in the bike is a compramise and changes just move it to a different end of the spectrum.

  9. yeah, thats where i park. I probably will check into it and keep my fingers crossed that it was the wind ...*sigh*

if you let me know exactely when and approx when I will ask my contact over at blankenship (security services) I have a meeting with a couple of them next week
