  1. Its Cali focused, but its spot on really. A few excerpts...

(Back int he day) You could find a street racing location almost five nights out of the week. If you went out at around nine or 10 at night, chances were good that you’d find something.

If you knew where to look.

“No, that’s long gone,” he said without hesitation. “In 1993, you could get a ticket for street racing and it’d be $300 or $400 and a few points. But the fines started getting into the thousands and the police started impounding cars and sometimes keeping them, charging people with misdemeanors.

Its funny that its seems so crazy now that we used to be out multiple times a week in the Summer. But, that was the reality. There are a lot of reasons why I think that "scene" is dying. A large part is the easy accessibility of street racing footage from YouTube Channels like TRC, and 1320. Back in the day, there was basically none of this.

If you wanted to feel the adrenaline of racing, or being at the races, you HAD to be there. Now, you can just click a button and watch racing until you pass out. At this point, I dont think its a bad thing, just interesting to watch the evolution.

  2. Did you happen to try to squeeze a little far out just to say you farted in a 10 million dollar fucken vehicle. It was probly too hard to hold back from bustin a load anyways. That's so badd ass you got to sit in one. So lucky damn Had to make your year for sure

I honestly didn't know until researching after how rare/epic it was. Dude said it was the only one int he US, I assumed he meant to color comb/options....ect.

I didn't know it was the ONLY god Damn One LOL

  3. if I had that much money, I'd pay whatever to get a proper MANual in there, because 2-pedal cars LOL naw naw naw not for me.

Rich people need to be cooler

There are some awesome DSG cars now. For example- if I was buying a lambo, it would be a E gear hurican with turbskis. Trust me, once you feel the acceleration of once of those fuckers set on super kill (back int he day was 1800wh, not 200)) you forget real quick that it doesn't have a 3rd pedal- and it still shifts like a manual car (if that makes sense)

Click bait title. 0/10. Did not read.

    Savage

pretty awesome car and 1:1 power to weight (in kilos not lbs but still) is pretty darn impressive.

Its insane for a real street goring road car thats not a purpose built drag car, and can still claim an almost 2G skip pad.

A lot of what justifies the price is the engineering involved to build the car. In terms of performance only - I think the One:1 is the most technologically advanced car on the planet (if you open that up to all genre's - Teslas beat it on a lot of other metrics). Just the man hours alone in engineering, the processes that had to be developed specifically just to make this car, these things can't be replicated. Being next to one is akin to being next to the space shuttle in many ways.

congrats on at least getting to sit in one.

    .

I was shocked just to see one. I wish now I sat there and asked questions until I was escorted out by the police LOL.

In related news- I literally cant stop watching this video, realizing he does not floor it until he is doing 200mph, and wrapping my head around this One 1 being lighter, and having more hp on tap. Jesus

  4. auto lol

I think this one still has a dual clutch?

Fucking awesome , I can easily see it being 10 million as low production as these cars are of you want one at all price usually doesn’t even matter to you

Its dumb Money. It really has kind of mind fucked me ever since. Like, how fast is it? The "slower" Model went 280+mph LOL. What would it run in the 1/4 with a Drag radial?

There is also ton of "put this in perspective" shit you can say about spending 10 Million on a car, and its all nuts.

Best one- lets say your doing WELL. Lets say your making 275k a year from 30, until you retire at 65. After 35 years of killing it, you will have only made 9,625,000.

  5. Jesus. More money in a motor than my last 5 cars combined. Still rather bad ass. Curious as to how well it will hold up in AWD trim.

Not well, evidently. They have not even made a clean test hit in AWD. All decent times have been RWD only.

    Crazy build though.

  6. No, but I did sit in it!

Long story short, I saw this sucker on my Adventures in Chicagoland last week. I knew it was a Koenigsegg, never saw ont in person. Talked my way INTO the car LOL. Later found out this One 1 is the only one in the US, and may have been purchased by the current owner for as much as 10 million dollars. (some speculation- but the number is b/w 6 mil (what owner 1 bougth it for) and 10 Mil

    Wow.

I'd say I checked one off the bucket list, but this is more like seeing Jesus and having coffee with him than checking off a bucket list item.

  7. I was wondering what happened. Saw another 9.7 car next to Dave in the order and wondered who it was. My first time at that track and managed my best of 10.5@143. Stock block life!

Yes for whatever reason they didnt put all names in the brackets.

Where you racing there? Which ones was yours homie?

  8. The bump here- 870awhp @ SCT Columbus. 9.7@157 with a soft 1.7 60 foot.

In the last few weeks, I wired in a BCS so I can add duty cycle though link to help keep the boost up top. While out testing the new controler, I lost my clutch pedal. Had to limp home rev matching!

Hydraulics checked out. Ended up being a broken pressure plate. Found a "bad twin" on craigslist I made work with some "creative adjustments" lol. More on that later.

So-went to a local import day at the track. same boost as last time out, just some duty cycle up top in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. It was HOT. about 90 deg.

Leave easy 1.7 60- have my BEST 1/8th mph 122- it holding boost..things look good- then BAG. Torquesteer?? Shifted 4th and kept on rollin' Went another 9.7x whis is remarkable considering I GRENADED my T case- in 3rd gear! LOL

    IMG_20180708_144527384-XL.jpg

I pulled the T case and Driveshaft and was prepared to race in FWD, but a full oil down delayed things long enough that packed up and kept drinking beer.

We had fun, and she drove into the garage under its own power, so no complaints here! Doubt I will be out again before the shootout since I have such a hectic work schedule next month.

  9. wow, a 9.7 pass with a 1.7 60 ft - that thing must pull like a freight train once in boost. Like fast and furious NOS special effects except real and made with compressed air.

Awesome seeing you and the car at Cars & Coffee. I was surprised at both the presence the car commanded and the mix of really amazing craftsmanship (like your roll cage) and janky zip ties. That thing drew a crowd.

Thanks! Yeah it pulls good for sure :) I think a full pass with a good 1-2 shift in boost would tickle 160mph with no other changes. It would porb go mid 160s auto.

And yes CnC was fun. We stayed at Mikeys and decoded to cruise when they canceled roll racing and delayed the start. Glad we did! We had a great/fun first half of the day.

    EDIT : That's July 8th ;)

    fixed!

  10. Jp can I swing from your nutz

It'll cost you some brisket! ;)

Thanks all! Trying to make the SlomoTrack Day July 8th- but Ill be coming back form out of town so we will just have to see how things shake out

  11. I packed just enough to make some money and sell out in a reasonable time. Thank you all for the business.

However between street car takeover friday and the track day today my corvettometer is going nutz.

I still wish I got some brisket at the Dyno day!!! :(

Sad I could not make this event guys! D 42 would let you do a Auto X as well- supposedly they have the fastest Auto X in the state.

Come back up north! PleasE! :)

  12. Just curious... will this be making the trip down for Street Car Takeover in a couple weeks? Asking for a friend... :)

    Indeed! :)

Bump for 9.7@157 and 865 whp Dyno @ Carlyle Racing for SCT!

    9.7 pass. Easy 1.7 60ft.
