Good thing I did not buy your turbulator

Add 200 whp, take away 300lbs, Bring it to Ohio- and you get this
Ahh, memories....
-
And yes, BIG updates on turbo build coming this weekend.
-
These are full SS with a lifetime warranty from Hinson. They are build for the FD, but fit on my FC with no clearance required (full hinson mount kit). Absolutely beautiful quality, I suspect they may be made my Stainless works since they are so freaking nice. Mint, same as new. Sat on an unfinished swap car for 3 years and has seen exhaust literally one time. (I got the car running, and am going turbo)
$550 shipped.
Full FC true dual exhaust with crossover FOR these headers- this is mild steel I think- nothing over the top-twin 2.5 inch using a magnifolw cross over pipe

And twin magniflow mufflers
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-11216/overview/
Build to use stock hangers- and sits stock position. Looks and sounds great! $100 PICK UP ONLY
Buy the headers for full asking and you can have the exhaust! (Pick up within 48 hours, or be charged $100 a day for storage :gruffy:)
I do have a video clip of the exhaust with the car running. I will see if I can get it up.

Man it's been a nearly 3 year struggle trying to get into the 10's. I blew a motor up along the way, I just wanna go 10.5x to be really satisfied with this car. Then who knows maybe ill try going faster or switch to a lighter chassis
Congrats-I know as FWD tricycle racers we have talked a lot over the years about it.
The great thing about it, you will likely be the fastest 4 banger roll car anywhere you go.
The bad thing, you won’t be happy with ANY car you build from here on out unless it goes 10's or better.

Those boys are hit.
I'll start the party @ $50

Yeah 6M I think most can agree that the track was not hooking at all and manual V's are trick to launch at best. Best 60ft of the day for me was a 2.2 and was on this run.
Nice.
Do they wheel hop much? Issue with the Gen 1's. I was under a ZL1 Camaro yesterday, and it looks like they changed a lot to alleviate the problem.

JP-im not sure what year they went to a V6, however it should be the same motor from 96-02. In my nonprofessional opinion it needs a headgasket set at the minimum. It could be more, but I have no way to tell and I'm not paying to have it torn down to verify. If I was keeping it I would put a engine in it.
Tom
I guess more specifically the question would be what are the symptoms? Overheating? Coolant pouring out of the head? Ect.
-
When did they stop putting I6's in these?
Also, if it never overheated how have you deretmined that it needs only a HG job?
-
12.76 @ 116, not bad for a 4400lb wagon on street tires! Had a blast today!
6 speed?

Linn put a GT55 on that cock sucker!

I was beyond full weight. I still think if I tug some weight out, have a favorable DA (<500), and the right track prep, I MIGHT be able to touch a 9.
DO IT
134mph is impressive on stock turbos. Are the 13 up tubors bigger than the 09's?
-
I didn't look into but know they also have a "Dream cruise" type thing where you rent an exotic and you take a scenic cruise around with others doing the same, may look into that for next trip.
Thats a load of BS! While the boys were out on their Lambo run, I rented a CTS-V ($180 for unlimited miles+13$ for doasmanyburnoutsayouwant insurance) and in the process of catching up to them int he desert, camp up to this parade of exotics on their cruise. Pulled over with them to get gas and see what the deal was. They have to stay in line the WHOLE time, baring a lap session at the speedway (in different cars mind you). The switch cars at the stops. Slowly putzing around red rock behind the leader. No aggressive driving on the streets allowed.
When they got back on the road-I gave them a head start, and did a 160 mph ricer flyby of the whole pack, just to be a dick.
-
Congrats Daddy! I know its been a long road with that car-first time int he 10's? I assume this was not at the 7xx whp correct?
Team GTR, great work. Mods for both of you? After getting walked this weekend by my boy in his GTR, I am sniffing that market. Still not convinced that I can have a DD with 2 doors though.
-
So, how big will the turbos be?
-
You get a hold of that guy in CL in Y town?
-
Very nice.
Did you do the install?

That's a nice view from up there JP, we walked through the Cosmopolitan. Didn't stay but I see what you mean about it, def on the list for next visit. We were just so damn tired from everything at the track each day it was tough to get into much in the evenings.....or I'm just getting old.
Oh yeah. The place is a damn TALENT SHOW. :megusta:
Did you consider renting an exotic for the day? Wonder what the cost difference would be. We rented Lambos last trip out, and we were told we'd be charged $1000 if the car hit redline, even once. I figured they were trolling but no one wanted to chance it.
Is anyone aware of any type for software they can track rpm with like that? Is that even legal? I doubt they are pulligng datalogs of people's trips in these things.

JP - fuck yes! Super envious.
Also, in first pic, I think you can see the patio I was referencing - its basically directly across from where you guys were (see just above the kink in his arm).
Yeah thats it. Patio seating there is mandatory-reservations not nesesarry, a qucik 50$ to the host gets you Patio and 2 glasses of wine. :dumb:
