  1. these things are changing so fast it's hard to keep up with them. I just bought my phone last december and it's android 2.1 and now they have 2.3 so I can't use flash in a browser.
  2. ok yeah that's what it was, the browser couldn't play flash in android. I just found this, http://technologizer.com/2010/04/29/skyfire-review/
  3. from what I've seen they only play flash videos in the youtube app. so in a website they cannot play the flash video from youtube etc.
  4. fwi, phones can't play flash video's. so they don't play outside your youtube app on a phone. and you can only see SOME videos on you're youtube app. I've come across plenty of videos that say they can't be viewed on a phone on youtube.
  5. I had to replace a failed insulated unit in a pella door before and let me just say I never want to do that again. you have to destroy the wood stops because they put nails every 1 1/2. and the guy I was working for didn't want to put new stops back on so he put wood putty on them and to be honest, if I was the home owner I would have been pissed off.
  6. I've never heard of that brand before. but usually if a contractor is pushing them they're probably getting them at a hell of a deal because the window is cheap. (not inexpensive cheap) unless he simply knows the guys and gets a good deal on them. good windows should run you about $500-1000 each installed. ask to see a sample of the window. the wider the spacer the more R value they have. really good windows have a rubber spacer and not a metal one which they will refer to them as warm edge spacers. low E coating on the window is your next major thing to look for. I think the first 3 most important things to look for is 1. low E coating 2. warm edge spacers 3. gas filled glass. in my opinion stay away from wood windows. they're high maintenance. this might help you in your quest, http://www.re-nest.com/re-nest/green-architect/how-to-choose-a-good-window-green-architect-125965
  7. depends on how much you need done. shoot me a few pics and I can get a better idea. I more or less do it as a hobby and not to make money. so I never charge people a whole lot.
  8. I can fix them for you. check out my work... http://www.flickr.com/photos/serpentracer/sets/72157616896803108/
  9. my battery is 9 years old. I never do anything to it other than ride.
  10. I would murder someone that took my dog. put it that way....fuck calling the cops, your ass is grass.
  11. cincy makes some good beer don't we?
  12. they were talking to a guy from the gov on NPR and he said states cannot make up laws that supersede federal laws. (he even said for medical use) pot is illegal under federal laws and no state can say it's legal in their state. so if money is legal tender under federal laws, I can't see this getting by before someone in the fed gov putting a stop to it. which they should anyway just for the principal of it.
  13. i should have patented the idea of this when I thought of it back in high school (1990). I told all my buddies it would be cool if the car companies did this. then when the pt cruiser came out everyone was like dude, they're doing what you said they should.
  14. NOPE! that's why the feds are busting up the legal pot stuff in california.
  15. yeah the countries using the euro are in huge termoil right now. they're having their own bank bailout debacle. germany is pissed and greese is about to collapse.
  16. suggested settings are not how you tune a suspension. about the only thing those are good for is familiarizing you with what the settings are. no two bikes will react the same way. even your tires play a huge role in how your bike behaves. also, most people wouldn't know the difference between a properly working bike and a poor working bike. me included. my bike feels great to me at time but is chewing up tires on the track. but set it up to quit chewing up the tires and it feels "off" to me.
  17. must be from harbor freight lol. I don't know who's doing it or with what brand but it's shitty for sure. if you bend the metal it cracks and flakes off. you couldn't torch the ppg paint off. it wouldn't even scratch if you ran a sharp edge of another piece over it.
  18. straight from another trucker on truckers report.com The best I have seen is pulling over size loades that was $240,000 that year gross net was $75,000 . You buy your fuel ins truck tries oil tolls permints some truck stopes charge to park upto $50.00 per day you paid to take a shower and a lot on min on the phone and Qualcomm is not free . if you worked as many hr on a job that as you do driving a $75,000 year = less than $15.00 per hr you do not make time and 1/2 for over 40 and on a avarage you get 2 to 3 days off a month with 5 day vacation after a year . I tryed the comapny route on 2001 with USA truck I had 6 days off (at home ) in 6 months they paid but the mile I grossed a total of $16,250.52 i worked 70+ hr per week that is $8.92 per hr straight time on time and 1/2 that was before taxes and one thing you must think about where are you going to eat . A truck stop because you can not park that truck anywhere at Flying J a cheap meal cost about $12.00 to $18.00 x 3 x 7days $252.00 for 6 month = $6552.00 so how much did you make http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truck-driver-facts/ that's the kind of salaries 99% of the drivers were telling me a new driver with no experience is going to make for 2-3 years starting out. and that's 10hrs a day you're stuck in that truck that you cannot drive. you're stuck at work without being paid....
  19. I'm sure that works about as good as a video game to learn how to ride a motorcycle.
  20. where I work we've been getting all of our parts powder coated from our factory, but you can rub it off with lacquer thinner. if all powder coat is like that I wouldn't want it. it even chips off easily. I was very sad to see this because our products used to have a great paint on them from PPG that held up significantly better than this stuff is. with that said, you might be better off with actual paint.
  21. actually the cold preserves a battery's charge. if you put it indoors yuasa says to charge it up 2 times a month. if left out below 60 temps charge only once.
  22. you guys are not watching anything I normally do then. I guess you're all into shows like csi etc. yeah you'll find plenty of those. but you're not going to find anything like what's on discovery, history, or nat geo or your local news etc. I'm not too big on tv anyway. and as for movies, you're still not going to find the selection you could when rental stores were around. even those stupid ass red box things have ziltch for a selection. and they're always out. besides, hulu, amazon and netflix are what $4 a movie? no different than the old brick and mortar stores. and remember all those shows you are seeing listed....you have to pay for those. everything newish you're paying. even if it's hulu etc...you're paying. in the long run you're going to be missing a lot of other stuff and end up not saving much if anything. because what you end up doing is basically paying $8 a month for each channel you normally watch on cable. now you're back to what you were paying for cable. some I seen were even $13+ a month. unless you watch 4 or 5 cable channels only. (which I highly doubt) oh and now you've got all those places with your card on file charging it every month. don't forget about the security risk they're putting you at. you don't think places can't get hacked ask sony how that goes... to me it's not worth it because of what I watch. it's not there basically. it's a cool and interesting concept but it's not all it's cracked up to be as of right now.
  23. you're not getting 1/4 of the programming or picture quality either. and if you were willing to pay $110 a month for cable you just had have digital so you could watch all the channels in HD. or you liked all the other programming. don't try to sit there and say it's just as good or even close to it. I have basic cable and watch it 90% more. I don't see anything I watch normally available on interenet tv yet.
  24. dude, none of it is up to par with cable or sat yet. it's all reruns of the most popular shows. for example if you like watching the big bang theory or Glee...you'll love it. or if you stick to the free stuff get ready to watch all your favorite c and b movies and the occasional flop A movie. don't expect much. and you will not be saving any money over cable. all of the good shit is monthly subscriptions. I know, I have a roku player. http://www.roku.com/ if you have vista or windows 7 open up media center and have a peek at what Im talking about...it's basically all the same shit. oh and the programming...99.99% is not in HD. just standard 480i. and no local channels. (so you can watch the weather)
  25. Mc Donald's but you have to have a technical degree in culinary arts. lol and get $7.35/hr and it's only that high because the government said it has to be... total sarcasm but you're seriously going to encounter places like this these days. they're seriously being over picky because they can. all joking aside, look at craigslist. here in cincy its been booming with ads all summer and it's still booming. it's a ghost town on monster jobs and career builder.
