yeah suposedly they used it a lot on the guns etc because of the sea salt etc. but that was back in ww2 I think.

that's because the escape is all wheel drive. not a 4X4. it's turning all the wheels all the time. a 4X4 you can turn off the 4 wheel drive and gas mileage improves.
-
coming from experience don't buy a 4cyl truck. they are usually around 80-90 hp at the rear wheels and they do not get good gas mileage. if you get 25mpg from one you are doing great. they are just so weak it takes them a lot of gas pedal for a long time to get them going. turn on the ac and it's like having a parachute on it. but that's my experience. my sonoma with a 4.3 V6 gets me 25-28 mpg average. and has a ton more hp and torque.

I honestly have thousands of dollars worth of tools tied up in it though. we're talking a $1900 portable trim coil bender(sheet metal brake) a work truck. ladders, hand tools, drills, grinders etc etc. no one wants to start you out being new to the trade for what I could make doing what I already do. I mean I could make due for a while until something comes my way of course. but there's no way I can afford to go to school to be a lawyer or something that takes more than unemployment lets you have. you know how long it takes to get a degree. I don't have that luxury. I have too many bills, not enough time etc. excuses excuses I know. but I like doing what I do. if I did anything it would be my own company doing remodeling etc. times are slow. but it won't always stay this way. and I will have a better savings plan and a lot more frugal this time around. I'm never buying a new vehicle again. waste of money #1. probably never buy another new bike either. their way too over priced now too. I was always good at not racking up too much on a credit card. so no big worries there. if I wasn't as good with money as I am I would have been in big trouble when I got laid off. there's no way I could make payments on vehicles and my home together.

13 years and schooling is more than qualified. I was probably over qualified and wanted too much pay. but I'm not doing that kind of work for mexican wages. they'll all come running back in no time. it will just take a bunch of complaints from customers about the sloppy hacked installs. window world wants you to install their windows and use all of your own tools, vehicles, provide your own insurance, workers comp, and haul off your own trash to the dump. but only wants to pay $25 per window. by time you pay for all that stuff you end up working for less than min wage. the guy from window world called my buddy the other day and offered him $30 and was telling him he needs good installer because the guys they have are hacking shit. my buddy said he declined and told him that's what you are going to get with guys that work for that pay. they can't make any money so they slap them in as fast and shitty as they can and run off. I seen some of these clowns. a shitty ragged out truck leaking oil all over the home owners concrete driveway. lol yep those are your $25/window installers.

cosmoline is the best thing you can use on a gun. the navy even uses it on ships I've been told http://www.cosmolinedirect.com/ if you guys have a old gun and want to retain it's value don't use steel wool etc. you'll ruin it's value.

the internet is the biggest waste of time. I sent out more resumes online than I have useless posts on ohio-riders and have not heard back from 1. all seriousness, I have sent out about 50 resumes on those sites and never got one response. my resume was even checked out by a resume person at unemployment. the only reason I got a job was because my buddy knows a guy way up in the company who hired me. and they have a bunch of government work to do. it started out being I was going to get $50 per window to install. then they changed it to 25/hr. they realized $50 per window is a lot of money I guess. I could do 10 a day by myself.

you're listening to too much rush limbaugh. pick up a paper from cincy or look on the "waste of time" internet and have a look at the job section. there is nothing in the paper other than jobs such as a desk clerk for a hotel, janitors, maintenance for apartments etc. all very low paying jobs but what huge experience. ironic they want people with everything but pay nothing isn't it? lets take for example you are an out of work network engineer. that's all you know. there isn't anyone hiring for your line of work. what are you supposed to do? you can't get a job mowing lawns because you don't have the experience. that's an $8/hr job. (I couldn't even get one and I own a lawn and lawn mower) this scenario is what's been playing out all across the country. it's madness. our country and it's employers has lost touch with reality. not all of them but a lot of them are purposely taking advantage of people.

I got a job. starting monday. starts at $25/hr but I have to use my own truck. unemployed since sept 2009. it took me over a year to find one decent paying job or one in my line of work. hopefully the work doesn't slow down and I'm laid off again. which is my biggest fear. this line of work is like walking on very thin ice. it's because of government spending that I was able to get it too. the company has a bunch of schools to update the windows in. should keep me busy till spring at min.

you really think everyone that has experienced the issue has "adjusted" it themselves? or one that's been used for a few years got to the point it would randomly fire..which would be the lack of maintenance? that's a piss poor design. it should be able to handle that abuse without failing. you don't see other guns with these kinds of accusations a fucking razor sharp sword is safer than that trigger assembly. what you are implying is like someone drilling a bunch of holes in a frame of their bike and suing the manufacture when it breaks. but in this case people aren't modifying or adjusting the trigger pull (suposedly)

I have some ocean front property in arizona for sale. you interested?

your analogy is completely bass acwards. it's not even close to being the same. the bleeder valve is part of a design that is regularly opened to maintain/service the system. the factory doesn't put a sealant over it to prevent the user from accessing it. you did shotty work. people aren't removing the sealant and adjusting the triggers. that's like saying all the broken suzuki frames are from miss use. or lets say your brake lines keep bursting open. and you are not the only person that it happened to. but the brake line company says you must be installing it wrong or using the wrong fluid. which you know is bullshit because that can't cause that. you are the one that lacks common sense.

Need 2003 Ford F250 5.4 V8 shop manual PDF form

the triton motors are notorious for it. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=spark+plug+snap+off+in+triton+motor -
so you admit it has a fault. you can't make something fail if is can't actually happen. demonstrating it over and over only proves without a doubt it's a flawed design. the guy who designed the gun even told remington it would and can fail.

having trouble with those spark plugs that snap off in those motors? -
I also like the fact remington is all over youtube trying to discredit the show. and they won't let you comment without approval. that's like toyota trying to say their gas pedals sticking were because people were pushing it instead of the brake...yeah ok. and cigarettes don't cause cancer lol. trust us where philip morris.
-
you know what's really funny about that video???? they left out the clip of the army sniper demonstrating how it doesn't go off and only takes a tap on the stock to make it fire. is that a safe user fault or a unsafe gun?
-
watched the show. no denying the fact remington knows about the problem. they try to say they never could replicate the problem in a lab but provided documents stating otherwise back in the 1970's. the problem is it can fire when you take the safety off. which you have to do to unload the bullet from the camber.(idiotic design) and it sometimes doesn't fire when you pull the trigger, then all it take is a tap on the bolt or anywhere and the gun fires. if that's not a safety issue nothing is. the guy who invented the gun even warned remington back in the 1940's it was unsafe. and came up with a fix but since it costs 5.5 cents for every gun they decided not to. but now, their new gun implements the same exact part to keep the gun from accidentally going off. deny it all you want, there are plenty of videos demonstrating it going off for no reason. and it even did it in a courtroom. because it did, a judge awarded someone 17million. all over 5.5 cents lol. now it's going to cost rem close to $100 a gun to recall. the recall costs more than remingtons worth. that's what they get for being bull headed.

no no no. those guys/gals don't know shit about cutting and shaping glass. it' takes a pattern of the old mirror, hand cutter, skill, experience, and a sander to make something like that. none of which home depot etc will have. they have those little toy glass cutters. which often break the glass instead. they can cut you a nice square piece but that's about all. find a glass shop in your area. you might find buying a used mirror from ebay etc might be the better option. I've worked in a glass shop and we were making that kind of thing pretty often. but charged about $40. you'll also find that the mirror is molded in the plastic. there is no way of getting the new one in like the old one is without breaking it. so it has to be glued on.

I'm telling you guys firefox will get you a virus/trojan easier than IE. I don't know why some of you insist firefox is better. IE has proven safer to use than firefox. http://www.ghacks.net/2010/03/06/study-internet-explorer-8-protects-best-against-socially-engineered-malware/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJBCrXdz4ew&feature=player_embedded whatch how many sites IE8 blocks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O94v1MdMcxk&feature=channel

I found out some ISP's actually are doing this. zoomtown from cincinnati bell does. there is an opt out option but you have to read the fine print at the bottom of the page to find it. I kept getting zoomtown search results. and just recently they changed it to another one that is way harder to get to stop. I just forget what the name of it is. but I had to jump through a few hoops to get it turned off. I was so pissed I was ready to call them and turn off my internet. because if I searched from the address bar all it would do is pop up an advertisement for cupcake sales in cincinnati. they hijack any browser you can get.

scrap it. I just scrapped a 96 sunfire yesterday and got $275 for it. scrap is about $200 a ton right now.

anyone use an iphone mount on their top triple?
serpentracer replied to El capitan's topic in Daily Ride
jesus christ. can't you leave that shit in your pockets for a little while? I bet some of you can't take a shit without a phone with apps so you can find the toilet paper and read how to wipe your ass on the net. what do you guys do stare at it and ride off the road or into the back of a car? I hope a rock hits that thing and shatters it. having a cell phone mounted on your bike makes you seem like an attention loving asshole. like you want the whole world to see that you think you're rich and important. -
it's a fact pay has never kept up with inflation. when americans are constantly being put furthur in a hole what do you exect people to do? of course they want higher pay.
