  1. Just made it back - what a great day for a ride! Was great to see everyone. I'll really miss riding with you guys.
  2. Sorry to see you selling her. The x-plane R1's are a special bike and anyone would be lucky to have one that is this nice. GLWS!
  3. Good deal, see you guys tomorrow!
  4. Good deal, I'll see you guys there around noon.
  5. Sounds good to me. Do you have the address? I can't seem to find it on the map. Edit: Nevermind, I think I found it. This one, right?
  6. I'd be up for either day, with Saturday being my preference.
  7. High frequency hearing loss is no fun. Even very good quiet helmets are still much too loud IMO. I've been riding with earplugs for many years, and pretty much won't ride without them anymore. It doesn't take long to put them in and makes riding much more comfortable and enjoyable.
  8. Hah, I had almost forgotten about that. Cycleworld once called it the "easiest multi-cylinder bike to wheelie" when they originally tested it back when it first came out. I don't know if that's true anymore, but I've never had any complaints about the power.
  9. I just got some new tires on mine tonight. Always impressed with how well it does just about everything.
  10. RAM mount makes a nice triple tree mount that uses their 1" ball system. I used it a few weeks ago during the epic ride and it worked well. It was pretty reasonably priced, and they offer a large number of other mounting options to bolt on to various locations as well.
  11. I'd still take an FZ all things being equal, but damn that Bandit is nice, especially with all the hard bags. It's been a long time since I've ridden one, but those things are torque monsters for sure and dead reliable if I remember correctly.
  12. Here's a shot of mine in full touring form as a reference:
  13. My wife has ridden several thousand miles on the back of my FZ and says that it's not too bad. I've got a Corbin seat and a Givi rear box with a backrest that makes things much nicer for her, and we've done some 4+ hour stints loaded with camping gear that have been ok. My image is that the Gen 1 bikes are a bit more comfortable than the Gen 2 but either one is going to be miles above what you'd find on a supersport bike.
  14. I call front in the caterpillar. The FZ is a fantastic bike. It will do anything you need it to, and the Gen1 models are getting very reasonably priced.
  15. Really sorry to hear that, man. Glad you're ok - hope all the insurance stuff works out for you.
  16. Goddamn this thing is cool: I always thought the R90S was one of the best looking classic cafe bike designs, and really like this modern interpretation. I'm not always a fan of the RSD bikes, but this one is pretty damn great. Link to full article and way more pics @ Asphalt & Rubber
  17. Still interested in what kind of deal you guys might have on these.
  18. I'll probably still be at my parents for Memorial Day, but if I'm back in town for some reason I'll try to make it.
  19. Looking at the ST in Black (size 45).
  20. This would be an example of a post that I would rep for t3h hilarity.
  21. Do you guys do Sidi boots? Mine are getting pretty old, and I just snapped one of the zippers, so I'm thinking it might be time for a new pair.
  22. Thanks again, everyone. Looks like my official start date is July 1st. My guess is that at the beginning I'll still spend most of my time in Akron and then gradually transition down to TN through the beginning of September. If anyone is looking for a place with a great garage setup in Green, I should have one on the market within the next couple of weeks.
  23. I'm around 6' / 170 lbs and the 52 jacket fits me perfectly.
  24. They didn't number the Rossi LE's like they did for the 50th anniversary bikes, so I have no idea. I think I read somewhere that there were around 1500, but I have no way of knowing if that's accurate.
  25. Looks like I won't be able to make it after all You guys have fun and speed safely.
