    Hail-bikes

    The many past and present.
  2. Is this what you meant by needing new moderators?
  3. I'll try not to point out that while you whiny bitches are trailering your sport touring bikes my lanky ass will be be riding the R1 down and back in the same day. I might be up for leading the medium group, Nivin, I just wanted to make sure I could 100% make it before committing to that.
  4. Speedway is the standard spot in M-burg. Usually plenty of room for a dozen bikes or so, and convenient access to 83 or 60.
  5. Very good of you to take it in and care for it so well. I never had cats growing up (always dogs), but we have 3 now and I love the little furballs. It's certainly a different experience from owning a dog, but I really enjoy them as pets.
  6. I <3 Olivia Wilde. Hawtness + t3h funnay.
  7. Unless something unforeseen comes up, I should definitely be able to make it and can still plan on sweeping whatever group I'm needed.
  8. I've been quite a few times both for either parts or service since it's pretty close to my parents house in Beavercreek, and I've never been impressed with anything but the size of the place. It seems like every time I went I was treated like I was in the staff's way, and I had a hard time getting someone's attention (place wasn't busy, staff standing around) when trying to buy parts/gear. My only service experience was a tire change which took a very long time and was done incorrectly (tires mounted backwards). There are too many other dealers that are better to make me want to go back.
  9. Wait, this cesspool of gun-toting lunatics and track-whore degenerates is moderated?
  10. I knew somebody was going to give me crap for that one I was tip-toeing through there for the first couple of sessions and the bike felt pretty uncomfortable. When I mentioned that to my instructor, he recommended a quicker pace to help stabilize the bike, which worked pretty well once I finally sacked up and did it. Keep in mind that this was Novice uber-n00b pace on a tricky corner. In general that's probably not great advice
  11. If you feel uncomfortable going through the keyhole, try going faster. My instructor recommended that when I was at Mid-O and it sounded a little weird but I'll be damned if it didn't help. Good luck, you're going to have a blast.
  12. I now reiterate this x's 10000. If this kid can stay healthy, he's going to set the world on fire.
  13. Damn, if I were anyone but Marc Marquez I would be shaking in my boots right now. 1 Marc Marquez Repsol Honda Team Honda 2:03.021 2 Dani Pedrosa Repsol Honda Team Honda 2:03.275 3 Jorge Lorenzo Yamaha Factory Racing Yamaha 2:04.100 4 Cal Crutchlow Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Yamaha 2:04.267 5 Stefan Bradl LCR Honda Honda 2:04.445 6 Andrea Dovizioso Ducati Team Ducati 2:04.873 7 Alvaro Bautista Go&Fun Honda Gresini Honda 2:04.942 8 Valentino Rossi Yamaha Factory Racing Yamaha 2:05:380 9 Aleix Espargaro Power Electronics Aspar ART 2:05.389 10 Nicky Hayden Ducati Team Ducati 2:05.568 11 Bradley Smith Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Yamaha 2:06.740 12 Ben Spies Ignite Pramac Racing Ducati 2:07.044
  14. Practice today was great to watch. Marquez is looking so aggressive at COTA, I can't believe it - he was going into T1, leg out, crossed-up, and with the back wheel in the air, just setting blistering times. Sunday's race should be great, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets his first win.
  15. Watch the 2004 season opener from South Africa - Rossi's first race on the M1. It will give you chills.
  16. I always thought UP was ageless. Kinda like Gandalf, if he had ridden a scooter. Either way, happy birthday, Tony!
  17. Just one. The others are all photoshop.
  18. Goddamn there are some awful people out there. Victims and families will be in our thoughts.
  19. Very sorry to hear about this Start slow and stay safe out there everyone.
  20. I always think it's interesting the way that people misuse/misapply tires and then get upset when they don't perform. It's not that different to putting gas in a diesel engine and expecting it to run. There is a temperature (glass transition temperature) at which rubber will transition from compliant into a fairly brittle material which can lead to brittle cracking - so that part is absolutely not BS. It's not something that will occur statically (while sitting), but can occur from an external input while operating in these temperature ranges. This temperature varies depending on the rubber compound which is dictated by the product type/application, and is another reason to ensure that tires are chosen appropriately for the intended usage.
  21. They did such a nice job with that Ninja 300. Hopefully they're able to sell a ton of them.
  22. Suddenly, a pack of rabid pedobears
  23. Everything back to 2002. The earlier video quality isn't as good as what they have now, but all the races are there.
