So, March 8 th I came down with what we assumed was the season flu. I got it Sunday night, the 8th by the Monday night the wife had it. Cough, fever, body aches. I never got short of breath, but the wife did. I was feeling about 80# better on Friday. It seemed to hit the wife harder. We still feel weak after a week and a half. Connie took a Z-pak starting Wednesday. By Friday, 13th she still felt like crap and had a flu test done. Negative for A and B!! She was talking to at OSU infectious doctor, he thinks it was the Coronavirus!

The wife’s job isn’t going away. She is the DON at a nursing home. No visitors, doctor’s offices are canceling all appointments. They are wearing masks when dealing with the residents.

I have heard about the cheaper Chinese rotors. I have run the EBC HH pads on my Busa and FJR for a while.

Most likely I will just clean up the rotors and put the new EBC pads on that I already have.

Going to try and make this.

I started walking around our 5.3 acres yesterday. 2 days of a mile a day. Hoping to get up 2 or 3 miles a day. Going to try to walk 5 days a week. I can’t believe how much this little bit of walking has increased my appetite!

I have heard of guys buying used rotors that turn out to be warped. Rather just buy new. OEMs with the mounting bolts are $400 at Partshark. Around $450 for EBCs.

I am more concerned about this virus than I was a few day ago. The news seems to getting worse about it. My wife is my health expert and up until yesterday she was downplaying the whole thing. She seems to have changed her mind and now is more concerned. I have at least a couple of weeks worth of food and I bought 2 more cases of water today. Also bought more hand sanitizers.

Dry? Use any chemicals? I thought of that but was wondering if that is abrasive enough?

The front brake rotors on the FJR have 91,000 miles on them. They don’t look the best but aren’t warped or don’t have any grooves in them. They feel good when I brake and work well. So, I am wondering what is the best way to clean them up? Sandpiper, 600 grit? Any ideas? I don’t really want to spend $400 for new rotors.

BS. This is an ideal time to go down. The Busa rally were always around these dates.

I just got a phone call from an old Hayabusa buddy. He is going to the Hayas in the Hills rally 5/10- 5/17. He is staying at the Phillips motel in Robbinsville. I am going to start planning to go down there for this. Anybody interested?

I followed him on one of epic rides. That was a fun day!

I have enough fat on me to live for a while after our food runs out! The flu is deadlier than the corona virus. Everybody is overreacting!

I will lead the weekday rides. Lol

Last year I rode with a new younger rider on a Kawi. We met in Z-ville and rode the triple nickel. I rode a slower pace and every time that I lost site of him in my mirrors I would slow down. This what we need to be doing on these rides if we want to keep new riders. Once you lose site of who tou are following, it is easy to give up. We have to let the slower riders dictate the speed.
