  1. Can join you guys? Sounds like a good plan to me. Where are you guys starting from and what time?
  2. IT IS FIXED! It was the spider ground. I pulled it apart, cleaned it, and greased it up with some dielectric. The bike started and runs with no weird lights on. Thank you for all the help! You guys are the best! OR rocks!
  3. Thanks for letting me know what a spider is. I hope that it is the one right there by the switch gear connectors. If I don't get it taken care of tomorrow, I would love to have your help! I would be happy to pay you for your time. If I don't get it fixed I won't be able to make the rally at the gap.
  4. It starts and runs. How do you clean these connectors beside spray electric cleaner? After they are clean do I just grease them with dielectric grease and put them back together?
  5. I took all of these connectors apart not sprayed electrical cleaner in them and put them back together. Won't start.
  6. I took the left side fairing off. I see some big connectors. Those just need pulled apart, cleaned and greased? I didn't realize that was what the spiders were.
  7. I suck at electrical. Hate this kind of shit. I don't know what I am doing.
  8. I have what I think is a spider grounding problem. The FJRs had a recall for these spider grounds. The turn signal and high beam indicators stay on. The windshield up and down button and the horn don't work. These are all controlled by the left side switch gear. From what I read on the FJR owners forum it sounds like the #6 ground spider. Which wasn't covered by the recall. I am not good with electrical problems!
  9. Welcome! Same here, the only time I didn't ride was when I was married to the 1st wife.
  10. Ok. I will pick them up, sometime.
  11. I took a 200 mile ride around the Danville Mohican area, yesterday. I had a couple of small maintenance issues that I had fixed, needed to make sure they were good. They are. Ready for the Gap!
  12. Slow? I consider it sanity.

Welcome to the madness of Ohio Riders! I am Kent Howard. Are you Bobby Nye?
  14. Had a great time and rode 360 miles. Thanks for leading Tonik!
  15. If the weather doesn't look too bad I will be at the meet spot at 10:30.
  16. Did you go to the doc today?
  17. I noticed that the loudest vehicles on the Dragon were the tuner cars and the super motos that sound like they are running open pipes!
  18. Yep. I also went to Bald River Falls. All the years that I have been going down there, had never seen it.
  19. I got back around 4 pm today. I rode a total of 1530 miles in 80 hours. Took WV 16 down to Marion, VA stayed at the Americas Best Value inn. Tuesday morning rode down to The Rattler, it was very gravely. Hit 215 north to south then rode 276. Tuesday and Wednesday night I camped at the Gap store. Made a couple of passes on the Dragon and then took the Skyway to get Krambonz for lunch. It was great, as usual. I forgot that the NC side of the Skyway was freshly paved. Then I went to Wheeler's and got 2 new tires. I knew that I was going to need a rear, but the front was done too. I rode back on the interstate today. Ready to go back down in 3 weeks!
