  1. RIP...yes this "could" have been prevented but I have also seen many a people come into the trauma bay with full gear on and die WHILE I'm cutting it off of them. Should we ALWAYS wear our gear? Yes but it's still a loss of human life. It's NO different than somebody smoking their entire life knowing darn well that it causes coronary artery disease/heart attack and is positively associated with lung cancer, colon cancer, bladder cancer...etc etc. Should we not feel compassion for these people for making dumb decisions when they are lying in a hospice bed from their "decisions" (I used to be a smoker and have struggled myself)???? All I'm saying is people make poor decisions all the time. This poor soul is gone now and I for one feel bad for his family and the loss of this person's life.
  2. So happy birthday! I got you in the nick of time. :)

  3. Ya they raised the prices on all the beer didn't they? I like the small town atmosphere so I don't mind. And that pizza!!!! Pick a weekend and post it on the forum and we shall see if we can come out! What is this Ohio All Bike Fest you speak of???
  4. Ya that's a bit too long for me right now. If I had a more comfortable bike maybe.
  5. Hey now....being in our 30's doesn't mean we're old it means were seasoned just right! Welcome! What's up with all these people from Marysville??? I didn't know so many people there had bikes!!!! I recently stopped dating a young lad from MV and he introduced me to a wonderful place called Benny's. We should get some MV folks together up there for some yummy pizza and I'll drag my butt from the east side to meet you!!!
  6. I actually LOVE the helmet if I don't have it on very long. It keeps the sound down and is very light. I don't know if I cold trade out the padding??? anyhoo, how long is this 300 miles suppose to take? What time are you all meeting? I didn't see a time. I saw Brian777 at quaker steak last night and invited him along. Lets see if he comes??!!! I'm sure he'll be up front tho with his 1098 and I'll be the last one again on my bike. How slow do people ride in the second group?
  7. Soooo true! I was training one of the med students last month who just happened to get into her first relationship in a while. She was quite hesitant b/c she has gained a bit of weight since she started med school. Then she told me something this guy said that I thought was quite profound (although probably common sense to others...). Anyhoo, when she questioned him about how he "felt" about her weight (he knew her at a size 4 and now she's probably close to a 12 or 14) he told her that when she gained her weight she didn't become unattractive BUT transitioned from one man's idea of beautiful into anothers. I really liked that whether he was being truthful with her or not.
  8. Stamina??? Ya I guess BUT I thought I cured my headaches I get with long rides with the arai. Yet on a ride longer ride I took with a friend last week my head was HURTING after 2 hours. I had 4 different arai dealers measure my head b/f I purchased the helmet online. I still get the frontal headaches. Geesh I just don't get it.
  9. 300 MILES??? Yikes. I've only ever done 200 at a time and was completely exhausted afterwards.
  10. Any gals going on the trip? I'm contemplating.......
  11. I have started to develop feelings for guys friends b/f and vise versa. I'm not saying it doesn't happen. Besides the BEST relationships I've had in the past were birthed out of a GREAT friendship. The boundaries I'm talking about are my male friends that are in relationships and marriages. THAT is a no no no and I'm also friends with most of their wives/sig. others. Besides as much as I talk and as touchy feely as I am with everyone I'm sure men and women always think I'm flirty when in fact that's just my personality.
  12. Bret I was gonna do a concrete patio in my back yard and chewed on that idea for about 5 years. Then I didn't want the regular color of concrete. Sooo I thought about stamped concrete. Yikes the cost was about $4500 for a 10 by 12 patio. Then I thought about pavers...same cost. My brother and cousin just installed a wood deck on the back of my house. It's really low to the ground...hence the reasoning for wanting a concrete patio vs. deck. Now that I have the finished product I do have to admit that I'm glad I went with the wood vs. concrete (although concrete will last MUCh longer). IF you decide to go with wood 88 lumber in pataskala had the lowest price by far. I got 4 quotes (carters, lowes, home depot, 88). Materials for my 16 by 20 was only $1200....it will be less for you if you want a 10x20. And of course I had family do my deck so the labor was pretty inexpensive too. After watching it installed I do have to admit it doesn't look that hard MINUS that freakin hydraulic auger! Pataskala has TONS of clay in the ground and it took us almost 8 hours just to dig 9 holes! Yikes. Either way good luck.
  13. Ahhhh well u just got a text out of this one young lad!!!! I think it is possible to be friends with the opposite sex IF you know how to set boundaries.
  14. I've gained 150 pounds since you last saw me.
  15. Get one up at Benny's and I'm there in a heartbeat! I love there pizza and atmosphere! Gosh I must be really hungry cuz I keep talking about food.
  16. Same here...I'm just a "few" more miles down Broad tho. I ate there with a friend on Tuesday and didn't even notice the sign when I pulled in BUT the next day after work on my way home I saw the sign. It's actually quite large. Hopefully this will be a good turn out! I LOVE the chic tenders there! Yummy!
  17. Turn your phone on...I'm trying to call you!!!!! :)

  18. There is a shoe repair shop over on the corner of Karl and Morse road that I went to for my leathers. I think the name is something like...."bests shoe repair" or something.
  19. Same here and I wear pink leathers on the street so eveyone knows I'm a female BUT I also don't look intimidating whatsoever.
  20. Hey Nick thanks for all the rep you push my way! It sure helps cancel out the big naysayer on the board! You rock!!!

  21. The only bike I ever did that stuff on was my buell blast. I would ride in a short, tennis shoes, and a tank top....but then again it couldn't go over like 75 mph. I was so embarassed of it that I never took pics.
  22. Kevin they can actually spot check urine with a dip stick for drug screening. I could be wrong but I don't think that is very expensive. The expensive testing is when they are quantifying it....like how "much" cannabinoids you have in your urine. I am all for anything that can fix our broken system but I'm not sure how it can be done. Back in the day you could stay on "welfare" indefinitely which is what my mom did from my birth until I was 18. My mom is a completely different woman now but as a child there were more drugs in our house than I want to remember. She wouldn't have passed the testing obviously but if her money would have gotten taken away it would have been my brothers and I suffering. I wish the government could police the system a bit more but I think we just keep putting bandaids on a terminally ill system. Just my 2 cents anyway....
  23. And what do you think would happen if a company other than ATT got rights to the Iphone? I LOVE the Iphone but in the hospital the service is worse than my sprint was. When I eat in the cafeteria peeps have to page me if they want my attention b/c there is absolutely NO service. Even with the scarcity of service at times I'm still willing to put up with it b/c of the product.
  24. Well you all know I'm somewhat computer/technologically deficient BUT I do have to admit that I have NEVER been happier with a phone. I've had my Iphone for almost 2 months now and it has treated me quite nicely! I cannot wait til the new firmware comes out so we can have the cut/paste, etc. options that I do miss from my palm. Congrats on the new phone!
  25. I do have to admit that I did think SEVERAL of my classmates in undergrad and graduate school were VERY pretty. My profession got it like dat! The majority of them were married tho!
