A CRNA does not clear $350 a year. Starting pay in Ohio is 125-130. They work under DIRECT supervision of the physician. They do not have prescriptive authority. Their scope of practice is extremely limited. You have to have your BSN first and be in the top 3% of your graduating class to get into a program that supports this degree (CRNA). That program is usually 2 1/2 to 3 years. There are I believe only 2 in Ohio....MCO & Case. I could be wrong there. An anesthesiologist has a bachelor's degree of some sort. 4 years of medical school and AT LEAST 5 years of residency. Quite a difference.

Wow I am SO GLAD YOU QUIT THE MEDICAL FIELD!!! You have no buisness dealing with patients with that attitude. Yes obesity is a growing epidemic in America. It is a risk factor for multiple medical issues such as DM, HTN, Hyperlipedemia, depression. But obesity can be a result of hypothyroidism, side effects fo medication, and diabetes. I have placed patients on decadron or prednisone and they have gained 30 pounds in 6 weeks. Let's see not be able to breath or get "fat"...hmmmmm??? Not decrease cerebral edema so you can walk and talk or get "fat".....hmmmmm. Wow I am in awe of your lack of compassion and patience with people. I pray you are not working in an area that you have to deal with ANY difficult people. Let me ask you Jeremy....Is everyone in your family thin? I mean is their BMI less than 25??? I'm sure that is not the case. How would you feel if someone spoke to someone you loved like that? And I hope that guy that spoke to that very unfortunate lady in that manner was terminated immediately.

Stop whining busta! I graduate this Sunday with my masters. I'll be a nurse practitioner after I take my boards. It took me 4 years working full time and going through the program part time until these last nine months. I had a nine month residency and could only work 30 hrs a week. I had no social life but it can be done. It just takes a lot of focus. If you want it go for it. Nursing is a greatly diversified career that has TONS of job stability. It's not a typical "female" career anymore. There are some pretty hot MALE nurses that I know (and they are NOT gay!). lol. Just an FYI!

Sorry to answer ur question Nick...yes. He's an MRI/CT tech over at OSU. I work in an GI/Thoracic oncology outpatient setting at the moment and his building is right next to mine. so every morning I have to pass the yellow beast on my way to to building. I get so jealous...I should ride to work more often.

Nick how do u freakin post so quickly???? My gosh....
-
He does more than fluffin Nick. He actually does have a lot of responsibility. You try dealing with people all day long that have to be stuck in a long tube for 45 minutes at a time without any anxiolitics (aka valium, ativan, xanax). lol. See how your people skills are at that moment. hehe.
-
I wasn't talking about you Kevin. We work just a few feet from eachother.....I know your responsibility. It was a "generalized" statement. Remember I used to be in my early 20's and I know how I acted. hehe.

WSUP girl!!!!! See u @ 7pm. I'll be on time this week. I'm not working today! Oh by the way....welcome to da board!
-
Welcome!!!! Watch out for the Reynoldsburg cops with ur bike. Those idiots wait for us riders! I got my last ticket coming out of my subdivision going just a few miles over the speed limit. You know our lil "town" is in a serious financial deficit thus this is a way to get some revenue. Just an FYI.

 I luv the last part Garrett. I don't really care for any of the candidates either. I voted for Huckabee in the primaries. I will be voting for McCain in November. He is just a bit too liberal for me. I am right wing conservative all the way. My reasons have nothing to do with race. I vote the issues that are close to my heart as a Christian. There are people who are black though that AREN'T voting for Barak....my pastor for one. But I see what you are saying.

June 5th - Spontaneously Combustible Traveling Bike Night Tour - Lodge Bar
PrincessPratt replied to Casper's topic in Events
I already did the RSVP thing on myspace but I will be there for a bit. I just got finished with my last final for graduate school. I am OFFICIALLY done!!!!! Praise God! Anyhoo, I also agree about the Harleys. My first bike was a buell and I fully intend on purchasing a VRod next year in addition to the GSXR. I've never had any issues with harley riders.....well other than the fact that most don't wear helmets. There's something about seeing a rider come into the trauma bay with brain matter coming out their ear canal. -
Happy Birthday Garrett!!!!! And ur NEVER too old to celebrate!

True we all should be living to the fullest Nick but what many forget is this life is sooooooo short compared to eternity. The decisions we make today in this life decides where we spend eternity (which is a very very very very long time).

So I'm throwing this one out there for all the females....and of course "some" of the very rare males but how is infidelity funny? I know the commercial was suppose to be a joke but they wouldn't have made it if there wasn't truth to it.
-
If you're that concerned about the title then sow some $$$ into the website and become a supporter!!??!!! Problem solved.
-
NO...lol. But I live out in Pataskala and do drive an SUV. Normally I don't have an issue with the gas prices but not working full time for over 9 months has FINALLY start to hit my budget. It's close to 80 miles of driving....$4 a gallon. Yes it adds up. I spend b/t $600-700 a month driving back and forth to OSU 5 days a week plus pleasure drives on the w/e's. Isn't everyone else spending that much?????
-
Well after doing the math it's not gonna cost that much more for cans. With gas prices its gonna cost me an extra $22 in travel just to get the keg and then return it!!! Arg!!! Thanks for all the info. though everyone. These threads do come in handy! And for those of ya coming (u know who u r).....if you don't like domestic beer you can always bring something you like. Also ANYONE have a corn hole game I can borrow??? Hint, Hint.....
-
OMG...blast from the past. I haven't heard of little kings in like 20 years. Seriously though....now that guy (max power) has me thinking. Should I get beer bottles? I REFUSE to do cans. That is even more tacky than a keg! lol. This is a VERY informal gathering but I do know people like different types of beer. I just picked bud select b/c it's MY fav! Well off to the orthodontist. Maybe I'll see some of u at the lodge bar 2nite!
-
How much is a case of bud select anyway? I NEVER buy beer. I usually drink wine if I'm at home.
-
SO NOT WORTH IT! Besides he left not me!
-
That's a little too expensive for me right now. This is the only time I have EVER missed the benefits of my ex husband. He worked for anheuser busch and when my brother got married we supplied him with 18 cases of bottled beer. It was all FREE!!!! Can't get better than that! And you're generaling with the "adult" comment. I like bud select from the tap. Would I rather have the bottle? Of course but when it's free who cares? It doesn't taste that different.

Amberbock???????

Some of the people won't be drinking. They are from my church. I probably would purchase 2 if more of the "party crowd" I invited wasn't going to a wedding from someone on this site that day. Hint, hint. hehe. Thus I prob will only do one. If we need more I can always send my little brother down to meijers to pick up more. But that would be greatly appreciated if you could help kevin!!!! I'm kinda starting to drown in all the planning.
-
Thanks guys. I've been trying to plan this party b/t presentations, papers, finals, etc. That's why this is getting done so late.
