  1. Female pieces are reverse thread and go on all the way. I rub a little oil on the inside of the hose then a little bit on the male fitting piece. Thanks for all the replies guys.
  2. Both hoses are about a year old. These are the steps I do: 1. Measure out what I need, tape it, use cut off wheel, blow the junk out with air. 2. Put the female fitting piece on as far as it will go on the hose. 3. Start threading the male piece by hand to prevent cross threading. 4. I hold the female piece in my AN fitting vice block and tighten the male until it is about 1mm from the female piece. Should I turn the female piece instead? I think I am twisting the rubber inside the braid when I tighten the male piece.
  3. From my secondary pump to fuel rail is about 4' of -10 line. The first line I used was jegs pro flow nylon with jegs fittings and it lasted 2 days before splitting the entire length of the rubber hose. Tonight I put on russell stainless hose and fittings and it started spewing immediatly. It is not leaking from the fittings. They are standard fittings, not pushlock. Is it possible I'm starting a split when I tighten the male and female fitting pieces together?
  4. Would be interested in reading what this guy proposes. If it is strickly "assault rifles". What about the AR pistol weapons that have the same capacity but are registered as pistols? As for the military. I would argue that less than 250,000 troops serving in the current conflicts have actually been on a combat mission. We are getting weaker. The time will come when we get our peepee smacked unfortunatly.
  5. Bump for removal of sold stuff and new parts added.
  6. Somebody should really pick this up! I paid more than that for my lc1 with db gauge.

  8. The crankwalk "theory" has nothing to do with the throwout bearing. Your little turn left trick won't do anything. You need a dial indicator and a prybar to check crank endplay. You won't notice any crankwalk ssymptoms until the crank trigger damages the crank sensor. I don't know why people make it sound so catostrophic. The 95-96 7 bolt thrust bearing is the main culprit. Being you have a 97+ car I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you searched the interweb and crankwalk showed up in bold on sites such as wiki, dsmtunerz, and cardomain. If those are the people you trust ok, just remember that there is a large dsm crowd in columbus. Some in the sub 10 sec 1/4, but most are daily driven.
  9. Mike you should move down south where there are more than LSX cars running around. Did you forget that we went to "turn up the pump" university where all they teach is LSX/SBC.? Boost is still king nomatter what the plaform. Back on track. A guy on post has an older nissan hardbody with a vg30tt stuffed in it. Less than 5k in the project and 500whp, but is it a small truck.
  10. Could be cool. I just saw one of the weekend "powerblock" shows put a nice 5.0 in a 1st gen miata. I guess a company called Monster Miata's has bolt in swap stuff available if that is down your alley.
  11. 2g stock 7 bolt bottom end going 10.3 http://www.youtube.com/stmtuned#p/u/7/C8khBrvePKo stock bottom end evo going 9's at 150. AWD motorsports has stock bottom end evo's over 600awhp. crankwalk is a bunch of bs. It happens to a bunch of different motors not just the 95-96 7 bolts.
  12. Evo 8 or 9? I know you said affordable but you have the mk4 supra and rx7 listed.
  13. I am aviation as well. Blackhawk crew dog. Regardless, 1ID, 2ID, 3ID, 4ID, 1st Cav, 101st, 82nd, 10th MTN, all major active infantry/armor/airborne unit has their own aviation brigade that has to follow the rules of the entire division. We may be more relaxed in aviation now, but we still have rules. I have been to Rucker twice for school, it also is home to the army saftey center and they don't take motorcycles lightly. When you leave TRADOC you will begin to hate the evolving/open to interpretation rules.
  14. Check ebay and gun broker for used accupoints. Not really entry level but worth spending a little extra.
  15. Sorry I generalized it too much. I am bad about saying the whole Army is bad when 3ID takes the cake. All riders here need the basic course. Sportbike riders (anything full fairing to them) need the basic, experienced, sportbike courses as well as a few hours on Ft. Stupids simulator that is really an enduro style bike. Along with your standard training and personnel file you get a motorcycle file. They keep track of registration and insurance experations and 4856 EVERYTHING! My BN saftey is a 18yr W3 with no riding experience.
  16. More truth! Sorry for getting so off topic in you post. If I did it I'd bust my ass and go 160th to fly little birds. As much as I despise enlisted 160th members I think OH's are the way to go. Fast roping onto pirate ships owns anything we do in the Afghan.
  17. Unfortunatly you will get tired of the street manners of the S. Especially riding with other military. Are you sure you want to go through all the Army bs to ride? You will hate life when your BN saftey is a w3 ,who has never riden a motorcycle of any kind, tells you about sportbikes. It is a great bike though, just not for that price.
  18. No kidding man. Lets see......prime examples....Females in the training room is pretty much automatic promotion. CDR/CSM Driver is automatic. Too pissed to think of much more. If I didn't listen to someone as a spec i'm sure as hell not going to listed to them as an NCO.
  19. The Army is hurting for good NCO's period. Pretty soon everything will be a hate crime and we'll all be Privates again anyway.
  20. Most of our new guys here in 3cab make w2 shortly after coming to a flight company. Unfortunatly we have a very strict SP and we only have 3 or 4 w2's that are PC qualified. Being prior enlisted you will have no problem making rank quicker.
  21. [quote name=coltb oostin]Since your original posting- the car has been Blown up with a car payment Blown up FS plus parts Blown up in pieces Blown up under the knife "Rebuilt" and priced higher than any 97 DSM, EVER Blown up shortly after Non running with in whoknows condition. And, this "for sale" add is nearly a year old!! True story. If you couldnt find a 6 bolt or someone to install it you didnt really look.
  22. Junior warrents are treated just like enlisted. Until you track IP, MTP, or saftey you will be treated like shit. I absolutly love being a blackhawk crew chief but I feel bad for any pilot under W3
  23. what size spacer did you run on the evo with these?
  24. Thats good man, at least you'll be out soon too. I'd have to say i'm not a fan of the A1 though. Just what we need is a bunch of cherries popping all 210 rounds in a matter of minutes. I'll stick with my 240H for a machine gun.
  25. Our unit had A1's waiting for us when we got here. I see the 10th mountain guys wearing the multi-cam and I have mixed feeling about it. I hate all of RC east, i'm home in 3 weeks.
