  1. This will hopefully be gone this weekend.
  2. Hahaha. My plan is next summer. Won't be a complete sport tourer. But should be rollin. Hopefully painted too.
  3. buying outright without trading is usually a little lower than trade value. i do understand what your sayin tho!
  4. If anyone is looking to get rid of a bike, please call Schiets at 419.332.9902. Understand, buying is different than trading in. The value wont be close to top dollar. But its always worth a shot. call 419.332.9902 and ask for sales. Or email pictures and info to Sales@Schietsmotorsports.com Thanks guys!!!!!!
  5. not a problem. Ill pm you my cell. text or call anytime.
  6. yup! they are the big wheel knobbies!! this was originally a 98 CR80RB. i believe they are 19 front and 16 rear dirt rims.
  7. Selling b/c everyone around here sold theres so its f'n dumb around here. idiots. Dont want to drive to southern Cbus to have fun with it. $1400 FIRM with everything. All the CR80 plastics and tank, big wheel dirt rims and tires, Supermoto rims and tires, extra 80 plastic, the 80 cylinder (which is in very good shape). this is a SWEET bike. im finishing the jetting now b/c of putting the 85 cylinder on. build thread here... this thing is clean!! no hours or minutes on the new 85 cylinder. i will make sure that is good before it gets sold. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=58469&highlight=1998+cr80 located in Oak Harbor. Will travel as far as the south side of tiffin to meet. (if your from the Cbus area)
  8. too bad you didnt snag one of our 700xx's we had for like 4500 bucks last year. Do you want me to see what deals we have going right now? if you havent gotten one.
  9. i want an excursion with the new 6.7.
  10. ditto. Full Face, textile jackets with back protectors, good gloves, and riding boots. never any les that that.
  11. switch to an electric fan on the motor. Clean out the truck of anything that weighs a lot. unless its all under 100 lbs. but if you have a few hundred pounds of stuff, it can help over time.
  12. what gearing does your 5.3 have? That could have a lot to do with it. Is it 4x4? i have a new body style silverado with the 4.8. Its got 3.73 gearing. and its a 2WD. I only get 13-14 city and i drive to North Carolina and never got better than 17.5mpg on cruise (when i was in the mountains i got 16). Tonneau Covers only help certain vehicles. I have a Tonneau cover on mine and it didnt do a single thing. I check my MPG every fill up. We sell scooters at Schiets that go 70mph, and get 90MPG+. says 120 in the manufacturer book. And the scooter is only $1899. Its not chinese. Its an Eton 150cc. This thing can pay for itself in one summer of religious riding. what about a 4.8?
  13. i almost jumped over the edge of a bridge down into a river b/c of wind. I was riding up here near the lake going over a bridge on a highway. i was on my 05 gs500f at the time. Wind pushed within inches of the cement barrier/edge of the bridge. I stood up on my pegs and was ready to jump over the edge (b/c) i knew there were multiple semi's behind me and i was going about 75mph at the time. Then at the very last second I felt the wind stop and i was able to move back over in the lane. Scared the living piss out of me. cant believe i actually didnt shit or piss myself, lol. It was my first riding season on my first bike.
  14. WOW. lol. im sorry. im hoping to get the motor in it this summer or next spring. I def cant put the motor in it, in the basement. and the garage is not heated, so it wont happen over winter. When i get the calipers rebuilt and the master cylinders rebuilt, i can start assembling more stuff and test fit the plastic. Then i have to clean the exterior of the motor this summer. So there is a chance i can have it running this summer i hope. that would be nice. The reason i post so many pics is b/c you rarely see people posting a lot of pics on there projects, and i love to see lots of pics, so i figure other people do to. and its nice for me to have all the pics to look at when its all done!! And i want it done perfect so im taking my time. and i dont know what i was thinknig at the start when i wanted to go streetfighter. lol. First it was a drag bike, then a streetfighter. now ive settled and it will def be a sport tourer.
  15. Got the calipers, right rearset, brake lever, and some caliper parts sandblasted today. Also ordered new boots for the calipers. luckily i can still get them, which means they are prolly used on bikes throughout the 90's. a little bit more cleanup on the calipers b/c i had to tape off the cylinders and slide shaft areas, then clean up and blast the left rearset and off to the powdercoaters!!
  16. thanks guys. appreciate all the replies.
  17. almost. just need to set the jetting and mount up a catch can. and get gear b/c i sold all my trackday gear after i sold the R6, to help buy this thing. i forgot last time i was over.
  18. one of the techs here at Schiets put a small turbo on his KLX110. Looks awesome! its almost finished. just needs jetted.
