Do you spend a total of 8 hours actually interfacing in one form or another with the patient? Please don't take this as a insult or jab at dr's I'm just curious.

I personally have no issues with EDoctors. As long as the person running the diagnostic equipment locally and the technology is right It will work. I've spent enough time in the hospital with my wife to know that many times the dr comes in the room its all talk. That means if the dr could sit at his desk and bascilly page each room and discuss he would be more efficient.

Why not run it on your current laptop? Apparently the 3.5 patch adds Windows XP support which works for windows 7 and 8. You will have to set compat mode most likely but from what im reading it works Then any modern laptop can run it with out a issue. Most newer laptops have HDMI, Just plug it in and enjoy

The cost of Durable Medical equipment is off the hook, I used to be on a CPAP machine and they charged me like 75$ a month. I found the same machine online for 150. The markup on healthcare is insane, I am honestly unsure what someone like Kirk makes per year, I do know that he paid a shit ton for the college to get him to that income level. It's very similar to car repair . When you pay 85$ an hour to some shop your paying for the lights. your paying for the building. Your paying for the mistake someone made. your paying for the guy who stole his car and left a 11K bill. The mechanic/tech is the smallest piece of that cost (~25-30%)

By no means, But when you deal with a Chronically Ill Loved one you tend to educate yourself on the various topics. You would be surprised how little most people know about there healthcare.

LOL, Actually i was watching a documentary recently that was discussing how in the future out toilets will be a diagnostic device and scan your shit (Litterally) ever time you go.

No sir I do not try to tell my dr's how to do there job. I do educate myself on various treatments / medications and Diagnosis the dr's suggest. If you go into the dr's with the attitude you suggest your less likely to get a proper diagnosis and treatment, (See Overreading into things). That being said, My mom was a MA on her way to be a nurse before she joined FCSD, During that time I helped her study and read all of our textbooks. So I do understand a little better than most what the dr's are talking about, So when I speak to the dr's about my wife (When she has been in the hospital) The dr doesn't need to spend 10 minutes explaining simple shit.

I almost feel like Dr's at least when it comes to routine care are going to be trivialized to an extent thanks to software and technology. Yes the human aspect matters and i understand that allot of instict goes into it. But as technology moves forward the devices we use to diagnose become more powerful. The price of healthcare should be going down due to the advances in technology. Jobs adapt over time and I think were seeing that now in healthcare. It happens in every industry.

This bill will never pass the senate I personally don't think its right because the republicans know damn well it won't pass the senate and even if it did (not likely) the President would Veto it. I tend to agree, When it comes to cars especially collector cars or other oddball cars you can't just google the answer too, I think its ok to ask. It's really context. If you randomly met someone at a resturant and they are driving somethign sweet it's not ok to ask. But on a Car Forum I think its ok.
