Props to those who came out with us as well!! If the rest of the C-bus crew are as cool as Shittygsxr and Gsxrnurse we'd have a hell-a-good time for a big shindig get together. I'm definetly going to make plans for a trip to C-bus for a weekend. Now I guess I owe the everyone an apology for the few misdirections I gave as the lead knuckle-head of the group and poor choice of roads out of Norwalk. I figured I would screw something up and I came through. Hopefully we can do this again...if this rain ever stops!!
  3. Damn...you're right Putty. I guess I just never paid attention since all zx10's are always behind me. Still looks like it's just hanging in space the way it's pictured. Edit: Current models are actually mounted off the exhaust heat shield. So, you're WRONG PUTTY!!
  4. I'm calling Photoshop all the way. Here's why, the heat shield cover for the undertail exhaust is still evident, the openings in the side panels are basically a copy (why not just have one larger one from a manufacturing standpoint), and the exhaust looks like one off a gixxer 1000. EDIT!!!! I almost over looked the most obvious clue....who mounts a rear brake reservoir on the damn passenger peg!?!?!?
  5. OK....let's take a look at the original post: STOCK...not "unobtainium". Again, TO ME, stock is one which can be either at a dealership ready for purchase as it was from the factory OR be ordered. It should be for sale TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. So, the closest thing to Nicky's bike you're going to get is a 1:18 scale model. There's no way in hell or any other place for that matter where you can get one of Honda's GP bikes, let alone for $122k.
  6. To me stock means a readily available production bike, not a one off, not a GP bike, not an AMA bike. That being said I'd have to go with either an MV F4CC or a top of the line Duc 1098.

Well, I was going to ride the route planned for Sun. on Sat. afternoon. I have a golf outing in the morning and probably won't leave for a ride until around 2pm. It's still up in the air though as I'm not 100% when I'll be done golfing. No specific meet place but if others want to go I don't give a hoot.

I say you're in. QSL in Sheff-tucky (aka - Sheffield), noon, if you're late you buy the food where ever we stop (everyone knows old guy's have lot of money (further evidence by owning not one BUT two bikes)). Don't forget to take your Sr. Centrum before you come!
  13. True, there is no state law against open carry. But I dare you to try it in any large municipality and I will bet you $1000 that you'll be quickly carted off to the jail for any number of charges.
  14. Great...now Floundy won't have to sneak in to malest the farm animals. I've carried while riding and it's sucks unless you have a shoulder rig. But then you can never take off your jacket. The law should be changed to open carry like TX/AZ and everything would so much easier.

My bad....it was gsxrn I was thinking of.
  16. OK....looks like the weather might clear up after noon. I have two things going on this evening at 7 and 9 pm. I hoping to drop the 7 pm gig so I can go to the Lube. Anybody going up? Top, Inya, Blue, ....???

I can tell you there will definetly be some twisty in this route!! Some tight slow/medium speed as well as some high speed sweepers. I didn't want to get all crazy with turns in case we have some fellow cruisers along for the tour. Mason Rd. is twisty at points, 511 out of Ashland is good, then off on Diagonal is twisty. It should provide a good mix, again I've not been on any of these roads at all this year so the surfaces could be not so nice. The route down to Ashland is partly new to me as I just started picking some roads that looked interesting/different. I think overall is should be a good 3+ hour ride, and our boy Shitty will get to tag along...hopefully. If I get time on Sat. I'll give it a run through. PS - the Dubs in Ashland isn't as nice as many of the ones here...F.Y.I.

Well...I took a stab at it and came up with this route. I don't know if any of the roads have been chip and sealed or not but I know most of them but not travelled them in some time. Options....opinions....alternates....bring it!! I figured if our boy "shitty" from C-bus could ride along, hopping onto 71 in Ashland is good point to do that. I just picked a BW3's in Ashland as the midway point but we could stop anywhere in town. Google Map Route

We'll have to see how Thursday plays out with the weather, but I'm down for a little running around. I'm in for Sunday as well still. You and Inya are right by me in Sheffield Lake. I've got a golf outing Saturday morning but I should be up to ride in the late afternoon time frame. Shoot me a PM with your number and I'll give you a ring when I get done.
  21. I have a friend that had a couple of rims straightened (track day junky). No fear of anything bad happening afterwards and the rims are run more true than from the factory. There's a lot of places that can do it now, just do a search for motorcycle rim straightening/repair and you'll find them. PS - That's nothing a that can't be removed, I've seen some truly bugger'd rims return to normal.

Well, there's a good chance you did as I've only ever seen two other ones up there and one was a bud of mine from the east side of Cleveland. I'm an westsider, live in the Lake of Shefftucky (Sheffield Lake). You should have my cell from the other thread, I've got your's here at my desk. When you're ready to scout some roads let me know, I'm up to head out with ya.
  23. Congradulation and best wishes to the both of you.
  24. Would you let someone join your forum that tends to stick parts of their anatomy in animals? OK.....OK......so there's maybe two sites that will take this freak. Interesting nonetheless, but I'd bet it's because you don't actually reside within a certain area of Toledo. Guess we'll have to wait for Sonny to get the answer(s).
