  1. Pilot Powers will be very satisfying for you, though from what I've heard if you don't really make use of the turning the back can square out real easily
  2. Pilot Roads are the Pilot Power for the commuter. Probably either of the Pilots will make you happy. D220s are meh.
  3. Any reason it's being sold at such few miles?
  4. While I'll bet you will say no on this, and I don't blame you, offer 20 dollars for the lights?
  5. Harleys are the only ones that tend to gain value from modding, assuming the mods are genuine Harley Davidson parts.
  6. If it wasn't for the sheer size of my paycheck being killed in gas bills to get over there that sounds like it'd be an interesting job.
  7. Mid-ohio requires either a one piece leather or two piece where the waist zipper goes completely around, gauntlet style gloves, mid calf boots, helmet. I think that tends to be common at alot of tracks, only way I could see insurance companies even letting them get any coverage.
  8. Another thing that I've found is good is to put a loud ass horn on a bike and don't be afraid to use it. Even if the person is not turning but looks like it may be on the mind I will honk what sounds like a mini-train horn to tell them "hey, I'm here and exist."
  9. In today's society it's no longer a soley "your choice, it only affects you" thing anymore. With how insurance works and such like that your "choice" to not wear a helmet has a chance of causing everyone else who choses to ride to have to pay more in premium because they are going to work to make up what's lost having to deal with your hospital bills and cleanup bills. Such is part of why there is the seatbelt law. Yes it should be your choice to wear a seatbelt or not, but when you have to deal with insurance prices your choices will affect everyone else. As for the webpage, I think it's possible original purpose could have been good, it was just executed incredibly poorly turning into a scare tactic to attempt to "scare" people from riding. I'd say if they really want to help the situation, make the intelligence the car drivers need higher.
  10. Check your local pawnshops. That's one of the most probably places alot of those items are going to go.
  11. I think it's a rather interesting if not unique design.
  12. I may actually have an interest in it. Will there be any showings this weekend?
  13. Like I said they've still got a decent amount of life on them. Most of the marks I have on them got onto them in about 3 weeks of owning them. As for your offer Mace, if you can get me a 6 pack of arrogant bastard ale to go with it I'm game.
  14. On my third season with my stock tires of D220s. They're coming near to their end. One can get between 8-12k miles on them depending on riding style. THey're crappy tires though so I wouldn't suggest buying them. I've just heard of people getting 16k+ miles on pilot roads and the new ones are dual compound tires.
  15. Pilot Roads FTW. The new ones are made really well and most of the commuter SVriders swear by them.
  16. I would be leary on it, very leary.
  17. If there's something I've noticed about most of motorolas phones is that the first release of them will be good, then each subsequent release wil get worse and worse.
  18. So I got a new pair of boots and am looking to sell off my old ones. They're worn but still have a good year or two left on them of daily use, more if not so daily used. They're also waterproof and have great grip on the sole. New they ran a little over 200, I just ask for 60 for them or even something interesting in trade. They are a size 13(or 48 for all you european peoples). Here are some pictures. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b289/indigosouthpaw/P6240083.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b289/indigosouthpaw/P6240084.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b289/indigosouthpaw/P6240085.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b289/indigosouthpaw/P6240086.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b289/indigosouthpaw/P6240087.jpg If you're wanting to get into riding and want a cheap pair of boots that will protect you much better than those tennis shoes, this is the way to go.
  19. I always find it amusing how much so many people will knock the SV without ever trying it. I mean if 2 different magazines give it the title "best bang for your buck" multiple years in a row something must be right about it.
  20. I do remember there was a site that had a special deal on one set of tires.
  21. When your wheels are acting as your gyroscope to keep your bike upright, why wouldn't you put down the 25 dollars for at least the peace of mind that it was done right.
  22. Just about everyone is going to want that to mount/balance a set of tires. If 25 dollars to do something like that will really break the bank on you I'd think you have other larger concerns
  23. SV650 would be a good bike for what you're wanting. The naked one has more comfortable ergonomics than the S one which is especially useful on longer rides.
  24. Motorcycle and snowboarding armor. Could create much more slimline gear.
