  1. Just a reminder to everyone that has a transponder, to get it charged up and bring your brackets.
  2. Wouldn't be on the daily log as those are criminal offenses vs traffic stops.
  3. Looks like I'll probably do the TD on Saturday, but only do a few sessions to save on tires. Just want to shake down the bike and new MC to make sure it works and get a good feel for it. Will be coming up Friday night most likely and stay thru Sunday and leave for Canton due to work. Gf will be coming up with friends Sunday I believe.
  4. I think you left a few parts out... I know the officer in question, who is once of the most polite and professional officers at OSU. Might want to insert what all your ticket was for before going off.
  5. Sprints are sprints...8-10laps. Mini is mini-endurance 20 minute race and part of that type of the endurance series so to speak and not broken down into novice and expert. Where-as 600 sbk is divided between classes.
  6. Im signed up for both 600sbk races. I need to call and have Todd add me to mini 20...and still on the fence about saturday trackday or not.
  7. I thought I would turn to the folks here about looking for a roofing person/company/contractor. I recently notice a small stain in my ceiling and went to check it out. After some investigating with my dad, we found what appeared to be (4) bullet holes in my roof within a 2 foot area (wtg new years in groveport)... We made a patch job with roofing cement and shingles that stopped the leak....but thats not the major problem. The plywood underneath is almost paper soft, and the 2x4 A-Frame is blackened along with the edge framimg and will all need reinforced. The roof is on the back end of its life span anyways....so I might as well just replace it all in one go. With that said, does anyone have experiance with or suggestions anyone? Looking to get a few quotes and see what its all going to cost me. Thanks!
  8. I did it about 4 years ago with Green county (xenia?). Was a April jump in Tandem. Was a lot of fun, but the downside....it was april lol. At 10,000ft....it was 32 degrees! I would definitely use them again though.
  9. Gas Tank, Rearset Right peg+brake lever, Upper Fairing stay, Ignition Key cover, MC Brake Reservoir/Hose/Clamps, Both Thottle Cables and Rear Throttle housing. Also inserted the right handlebar weight that fell out with a spare that I had from my old OEM's and grind down the bar end to match.
  10. +2 It starts a little rich, but hovers around 13-13.5. A proper tune would smooth out the line and maybe give you a marginal increase in power. Wish I could have got the pulls in to see what hp the bike lost since last year, but Potus visit required me to work.
  11. Its not that bad. And I've done it my fair share. Just have to know where to get parts and do it yourself. Mykills highside was pretty cheap to be honest for what i could have been. Mental and Physical injuries are harder to fix.
  12. Well, its Ohio in the Spring...so it is...what it is. We are just keeping others informed so that they can learn from us and our experiances. My first day at Mid Ohio Novice, it started sprinkling about session 2. I started into the keyhole and watched not 1..or 2...but 3 bikes in a row go down right in front of me. I put my hand up then and nursed it all the way back to the pits. Some things just aren't safe or worth the risk of harm to yourself or your bike.
  13. Rain days are a lot different then regular trackdays. You don't go fast and its all about being smooth. Not chopping the throttle, being smooth on and off the brakes, and getting your lines up well beforehand. Also, keep in mind that all tracks are different in the rain. Mid Ohio is about worthless and not worth it. Nelson has a fair amount of tracktion, but you can still eat it. I'd imagine PIRC is pretty compareable with how the surface is. As for gear, pretty much what the others day. I got a big blue oversuit last year and that kept me pretty dry in the full rain, but not sure I'd do it again for $30. Maybe if it was black or a cool color (Though, I did stay dry and had a great time)
  14. +3 to those. I think orange front and rear would look awesome!

  17. Wish I could make it, but due to visit by the Pres Obama I'll be at work all day.
  18. I know better then that Soft tires are also the A/VA's since the temps are a bit lower. So the B/VB's are coming off for sure.
  19. Care to find it for me? Because I'm know I didn't and only hoped for the weather forecast to improve! I'd rather be prepared for conditions though, which is why I'll make a trip over to Ryan's for a few tire swaps beforehand.
  20. Make sure your tires up in pressure. (Not race pressure) i think i ran mine at 30-35psi in rear.
  21. Coming along nicely. I put on a Vortex Keyless cap and definitely like it over the old OEM key system. I did a lot of what your now doing also and can remember all the "fun" . Might consider taping around the servo delete kit so that the wires don't cross and melt the resistor/fuzes. The OEM sprockets are 16/42 so your -1/+1 atm Whenever you get around to the RAM air intake, you might want to consider gutting the plastic tabs out also. Makes for a cleaner intake and better air flow.
  22. I enjoyed: Troy Bayliss Story. Narrated by Ewan McGregor also.
  23. Well when you pre-register you kinda want to go Racing two series wasn't in the budget. Besides, everyone needs to learn how to fix their bikes also! I don't mind teaching & helping, but learning from digging into things is always the best.
  24. So test it around the block! Mike did it and found the pinched hose and do I after crashes also. Quick Fiberglass kit, drill extra holes for Dzus or just use zip ties and take a short spin to see if anything flaps or moves at minor speed. Worse case, we can probably fix it at the track anyways unless something catastrophic happens. I'm pretty good at these things anymore....Practice makes perfect right?... But a lot of guys use zip ties to keep bodywork together..since it allows some flex and moving under crashes where-as the Dzus/bolts just break the tabs and blowout bodywork.
