  1. I checked my schedule and won't be able to make it. Thats the weekend of the OSU Spring game and I'll be required to work it.
  2. Will see about april days at work tomorrow. Didn't have time to do it today due to presidental visit.
  3. Just practice for the Motoseries round out there on the backend of the year. Going to try and make all the rounds this year if work allows it. I expect it to be semi full....but I'm not special enough to learn a track in one day. I would consider that event if I can get the time off, but I'm preapproved for vacation on the STT days already.
  4. Thought we had talked about this for july! I'm planning on the STT days there for practice since I've never been there either.
  5. Got my E-mail from Honda East that the OEM parts shipped today also along with the Radiator hose. Should have about everything by the beginning of next week and we can start work on it.
  6. Depending on when parts come in, I could have his bike ready by the end of next week. But we want to work on it together so he understands the bike better. Definitely will be ready by round 1 though. I already have parts on order for mine to improve the problems we found at Jennings and spare rearsets. goes out to Ryan and Shop Dog Cycles! As for pics of others: SJC Twisted Ms Twisted
  7. Yes, the whole housing has to come out. The lower housing sits on top of the throttle bodies, which covers the cables as they route down the frame to the engine. I was hesistant in doing it last year also, but its really not that hard of a process after I got into it. Lower airbox reinstall was probably the most pita due to how it fit on my RR with the dual ram air tubes. (Took some love and force) Just remove the screws that secure the airbox and on mine there was a hidden one kimda thats easy to forget. Then it all pops off. I didn't disconnect everything on top to free up room either. Just what i had too to make room.
  8. If its anything like my 07...then you really don't have much choice. You have to take that stuff off to release the lower connectors on the cables. Its really not that hard to do, and I'll be doing it again shortly on Mykills bike. Just remove the tank and put it aside, undo the top connectors and stuff (Label with tape if necessary) and remove the top airbox then lower airbox and put all the screws in a container so you don't lose them. Then you can easily access the throttle bodies. As for removing the TB's...I went the easy route after researching. Get a LONG phillips screwdriver (mines about 2ft long -adv auto $12?) and go in from each side and loosen the TB clamps on all 4 TB's. Then the whole stack comes off and you can put it aside also. Then you have complete access to the cables and routing to replace. Overall, it shouldn't take more then about 2 hours max.

Woodcraft +2. Got the riser version for my CBR and love them. Easy to adjust and take on/off. Along with simple to replace parts if needed.
  10. Have most of the parts on order and should have the bike ready in a week or so. Just weighing our options on the upper fairing stay and when to work on it all so Mikey can learn
  11. Monday works for me I think. Worse case I'll have them in the garage ready for you if I'm not home so you can get them. Good stuff on the tank.
  12. I'll be there also! But we should have Mike's bike operational by then. (I think)
  13. Its not too bad overall for what it went through. I gave it a semi-over today since I still have it. Needs new: right rearset lever+peg, gas tank, both throttle cables, brake reservoir, brake reservoir tube, upper fairing stay. Right case cover is rashed, but useable still, OEM right clip-on may be slightly bent, right brake lever slightly rashed but useable. Key was broke off in the ignition, but I got it out after removing the top triple & tearing down the ignition. Upper and lower are rashed, but still useable. (Fiberglass repair/strengthen would fix)

  15. Well, we had tire service by means of who else we had on Tuesday! I went through slow-mo footage of Mike's videos and let's just say he was all superman with the bike on its face
  16. Suck it up! I honestly didn't feel too bad other then my lower back. Getting out and walking kept everything loose for me. Really need to work on my go pro mount...went over some of the footage and its almost not worth keeping with all the bouncing But need to drop another second or three next year for sure! *Edit* Wanted to give a HUGE thanks to Matt Carr for helping me diagnose the bike on day one. It kept dying on me and eventually stopped running completely. He checked around and within a few minutes found that the T-tap for the Bazzaz went bad and I ran around until I found a sodering gun and put it together properly! Big Kudo's to Mr. Carr!
  17. +5 thanks to Andy for setting it all up. It was a great time and I really enjoyed it and getting to learn a new track. Almost wish I had one more day...but I was exhausted too Now I know a new mc is in order and I lioed the new cups!
  18. I gained more then that....but working on getting it off and tried on my suits mid winter to see how it fitted. A little more to come off and all will be perfect since its just a little snug im the chest with spine protector. But honestly, head to ironpony and try some suits out. We could help you more with a height/weight/waist etc, at least get you in the ballpark. For example, I'm 6'2" 228lbs with 34-36 waist and wear a 58/48 suit almost perfect.
  19. Welcome! I'm sure I'll see you at the track this year.
  20. I tried! Get up earlier lol.. figured you both would have had something by now also.
  21. That thing sold out fast. The for the price I imagine it would though.
  22. In performance?...not really. The change from the PC3 to the PC5 is from controlling only the 4 lower injectors to all 8 injectors (Top & Bottom). This makes it easier for a complete custom tune since you can control it all. Where-as with a PC3, you only control the lower injectors....and makes it more of a guessing game to get the right air/fuel ratio since you aren't sure how much fuel the top injectors are or aren't putting in and having to adjust the bottom ones more to compensate.
  23. Was looking on slickdeals and came across this and thought I would share it. Complete kit http://www.adorama.com/UWGPHDMH.html?emailprice=t&utm_term=Other&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=Other&utm_source=rflaid62905
  24. So DoT street or DoT race? Didn't know conti's were that cheap.
