  1. oh and MJ, apparently you being a girl is tasteless.
  2. found this in the ol' PM box, and it got me to thinkin... who the fuck lets their kids on ohio riders?
  3. combat boots while running? no thanks. those things are about the hardest thing aside from my co...rock. ill take my running shoes designed for me to run in. ive never been big on the distance. the army wants me to run 2 miles so thats about all i do. sometimes ill go 4-5 miles if i feel good. i was never a runner, and then i HAD to run. running is just one of those things you gotta get out and do, and a lot of people have already posted some good plans to do that. oh and if you need shoes, i would go to a specialized running store. in columbus theres a store called "frontrunner" on lane ave. running shoes are something you dont want to be cheap on if youre logging a bunch of miles, you need shoes that fit your foot style.
  4. is that a mash up of the newer-gen gsx-r1k bodywork with the old school stuff? looks odd to me. maybe its just cause the black paint doesnt match on the uppers.
  5. if you know the right people, maps get really cheap *cough*free*cough*
  6. i was on the fence before, but those pictures pushed me over. can you ship them to iraq?
  7. watch mad men. the late 50s were cool; sexual harassment was plain good fun, women didnt raise their voice to men without getting the backhand, and it was just awesome to be a middle or upper class white guy!
  8. try changing your a to an o and give it another whirl
  9. yeah you can buy your own scope. i wouldnt want to drop the $$$ on a peq-2 tho. kinda useless once you give them back your NODs. no war trophies anymore. ive never seen an m79, that thing looks so old. not to mention nobody is shooting grenades right now. theres actually a new M203 replacement that all the new guys have called the M320. its detachable and looks like a 9mm strapped to the bottom of the M4.
  10. sort of, we have the ASIPS (advanced sincgars improvement program) which is like half the size of sincgars, but it fits in the same vehicle mount and operates identically. we also have the harris radio (jack of all trades, usually for commo with air support), the rockwell (used for satcom), and the MBITR. food is all contracted and base security is contracted too. mechanics are the biggest trouble, theyre never happy.

    ps3

what cables you use depend on the resolution of the TV, but since you have that big plasma, its probably 720 or 1080, so you need some HDMI. the PS3 will always look shitty on a shitty tv.
  12. 37F Psychological Operations. when i got to AIT at bragg, we had our phones for about a minute before they made us realize our AIT was not like college, as some of the DS's at jackson had informed us. we got to use those on weekends starting like week 4 or so of AIT. actually, we just had the 1-64 battalion from 3ID replace the infantry guys that were here when we got here. i believe they are also from fort gordon.
  13. even the infantry isnt doing infantry stuff over here. actually, commo guys are come of the busiest. everyone needs their laptops, SVOIP phones, radio fills, and all sorts of secret stuff that gets changed a lot. i make sure to be extra nice to commo what unit were you with at jackson?
  14. i have not seen a 1911. personal weapons are not allowed. hell, i dont think my battallion of infantry guys has shot anyone since ive been here. i only remember one report of our guys actually returning fire on something. the SF guys might have some of those 1911s, as they have every weapons system they want to, but even they have more strict rules nowadays. just wait till you get some time with a 240, 50 cal, or a mark 19. those are all way better than the SAW.
  15. psh, iraq is better than the US bases, and theres sheep everywhere!!!!
  16. idk its the only pistol ive ever fired. i just use it for running around the base. out on missions, if i cant handle someone with the 240 or m4, then i better start praying. actually the army owns me too
  17. rainbow sherbert i like to keep it simple:
  18. no complaints. ive stuffed that thing full for many a weekend trip etc. when i get home im probably going to buy the saddlebags for longer trips.
  19. i bought my bike in new hampshire. i got 20 day "taking the vehicle to another state to register it" temp tags. i would assume most states have something similar.
