Well if you do the TD at Putnam you can take it out in a Advance run since I will only be doing Beginner and Int since it will be my first time on bike since my Bitch Slapping.

Well if I had a trackday at Mid OH I could go to I would have. But I got the last weekend in September coaching at putnam, and then I am heading down to nashville Oct 4-5 for a final season hoorah If you want to head down with me let me know I got room for 3 bikes (free hotel room).

And I started it... FYI Cincinnati and I have a 150cc scooter...... I can't ride it right now though...

A SV 650 older 2002 or older style I think weighed in close to 380 ish with fuel and oil. The older 250s I think are also about the same weight since it is mostly steel not aluminium. But the 650 will have ALOT more power. Both are 2 Cylinder machines so learning to start and stop will be easier. Even the Ninja 500 is a 2 cylinder machine which helps with first timers learning the clutch. If you are not sure if you want to ride get into the MSF or if you know someone who has a small bike to work with you. As MSF courses probably won't be open till late fall or next year, one of us in your area may have something to work with you and get you started. If someone has a scooter to start off with that is perfect.

Forgot to tell the outcome of story one. The journalist was screaming like the guy in Rocketman all the time, he got off the bike and instantly felt better about riding on the track and riding a sportbike...

Check the ground to the Starter.... Also makes sure the clutch sensor is there as Suzuki won't start unless the clutch is pulled in (in gear and Neutral) Yes the light going dim or off is normal at start up I am pretty sure. If it is doing that sounds like the clutch sensor is there, just the starter is not working.

What did they say your heal time was Drew? They told me 12 weeks for my surgery. I am just hoping to be able to ride around town by mid to late Auguts.

Not sure if he still does it but the owner and organizer of Team ProMotion used to take people for rides during sessions. Story 1. A journalist guy for Harley Davidson or custom cruiser magazine came dow to see "what this trackday thing was about" He gets to rent a Buell and ride in the basic schooling group. At about 2/3 through the day he says that this is worthless and the stupidest thing he has done. No fun. Glenn the owner says let me take you around the track on the back for a few laps. He agrees and sets his bike up best he can. This was on VIR south course where Advaced times are around 1:20 to 1:14s and Glenn takes him around and clocks off some 19s and a 18 with this guy on the back. Now for the part this guy weighed about 250lbs Story 2,VIR south course again. I am running 1:19s -1:20s behind a yellow CBR 600 (on my 03 Gix 600) and getting held up in several spots never quite close enough to stick the front wheel in. So going into the last corner a double apex I setup extra wide for a run to make a pass into T1. As I hit the 1st apex Glenn sticks his Gix 1000 underneath me with a passanger on the back... Now Glenn and one of his coaches that October were the ones who evaluated me for my race license certificate. After the session I find Glenn and he is already laughing at me. Evidently he was behind me for 2-3 laps as I fought to get around this guy and when he saw me setup wide in the last corner knew I was trying to setup a pass for T1 and to a smartass passed me on the inside...

I Stayed with Jonas an Pett for 4 laps at Grattan this year then started getting tired (last race of the day) and just didn't care to push. Jonas had a mechanical issue couple laps later... I feel sorry for R6 guys right now (ok maybe not o bad ) New R6 sales pitch.. "Got motor?" "You'll need another one."

Ben Bostrom said he got knee down at laguna riding on the back of the Ducati 2 seater. DangBruhy I saw that article and 2 of the 3 girls got knee down.

Not really, that way you can see the frame, and subframe in the pics. It is as if he is making sure he is not hiding anythin. It doesn't look in to bad of shape. Looks rideable even with plastic as is.

I am glad to see that RN wages are finally at a somewhat respectable level. And some Hospitals are paying students schooling for contracts to work after graduation. For the longest time RNs were severly underpaid (and still are somewhat). I believe now Average is roughly around $60-70k

Dang MX junkies.. My pain pills just put me to sleep so what is the point when you don't get to feel good.

Mine was $7k on the ER bill which topped out at $25K. One day stay, 2 CT scans, one MRI, an Esophagus Scan, and the Med Flight. Added 2 more MRIs later, 8 weeks or so of PT for a grand total of around $33k

Yikes. in Jeans that would hurt like hell. It was funny some rocks when he ran over them turned to dust... Took me 4 laps to get brave enough to get close enough to pass him.. One of the worst I hate is when I get bits of tire stuck to my neck while on the track.. Nothing like rubber at over 200 Degrees sticking to your neck.
-
Heck Air Care to hospital is $7k

This year at Barber trackday, first session I came out behind a guy who ran off the track into the gravel first lap and every corner rocks would fall out the bottome of his bike and when he ran over them with his tire the got shot at me. I took a few to the chest and shoulder, but the one that hurt the worst was coming out of T4 I took one to the left hand right on the 2nd knuckle.

There are plenty of Back roads around most cities even that you can go to and pull some up. Why does it have to be around traffic, and blocking other drivers is the worst thing for them to do. What pisses people off more, someone doing a wheelie, or being made to drive 45mph on a hwy so someone else can break the law.. Even if I was there and they started that shit I would have been on 911 as ASAFP. Not only does it cost me to be late and back up traffic, the next time I am running down the highway someone could try to take revenge out on me.

52 is not old.. Though could happen. My Dad is 57 and still doing trackdays.
