  1. Just to let you know, I am asking $100 more on the WERA forums. I would rather sell local. I see you are Pittsburgh and am in Canton/Akron often and can jump over to drop off.
  2. Will be doing the Ducati booth again this year. Come by and say "hey".
  3. I can do any day really. It depends on work schedule and race schedule if you go out as far as May... But I can give an idea if you narrow the timeline, but honestly, I can do whenever.
  4. I would also be interested in the class. I would really like to get into the aluminum stuff also. Based on cost, I might bring my son also.
  5. Well, considering you have no idea who I even am, I'll leave it be. You are trying REALLY hard which is comical. Oh, and I am by far not a guy that lifts. Bro. So you do agree that you are a shit-pile-rider? Hey, at least you are starting to see the light. Maybe you can improve on that by trying some track days. Let me know.
  6. They used to carry suits from AStar. However, understand that suits for riders (Full one piece) are about 2-3% of what are the total sales for dealers. And that is if they are a hard core shop... Rider's and STG are better choices for that because they have a more broad target audience and are more specialized. But, check the closeout section. Plenty of suits that are smaller sizes that would work and for the money, a decent choice because the minimal use they will get unless you are dedicated and doing it often enough to justify a higher end suit. They had some decent AGV suits back there...
  7. Nah. You're just not firing on all cylinders today. I was, however typing a laundry list of bikes owned, but I ran out of available characters to use. So, I decided against it.
  8. Correct. I apologize for using the term minimal on setup. Like you said - some can be and some are not. You are correct. The Pani is an easy unit to setup as everything is ready with exception to a few items and prepping it is easier than say a Multi...
  9. Hahaha!! Awesome. I also was online trying to find a scarf and a fancy tight fitting Euro jacket to wear while posing on mine. I need to start drinking Starbucks as I am losing points owning a Duc and not drinking coffee!
  10. You're funny for thinking I am getting defensive. I know you are trying in a VERY lame attempt to somehow get me wound up. Maybe you should go out and buy and sell a few more piles of shit and put them in your sig instead of trying to wind me up?
  11. It isn't BS at all. It is an incurred cost and most dealers do not mark it up. Most dealers charge a DOC fee and most states will not allow you to charge more than a set dollar amount. Some states do... The labor is where people get nailed and that is a dealer to dealer type thing. There is labor to set the bike up and while very minimal, there still is someone who uncrates and preps the bike for sale. That amount of labor needs to be paid out and I totally respect a dealer to charge for that. But, most do not anymore... Some companies charge a dealer a PDI cost. KTM for example... This amount gets credited back to the dealer once they successfully register a unit. Thus, some dealers charge you the customer and get that amount back... Others use it as a hold back of sorts and reduce the cost to you accordingly and save you a few hundred bucks... In the end, freight on bikes is a cost that is actually charged. Dealers who save you that cost are actually losing money. That's not a good business model.
  12. You guys criticizing this thing are funny. It is simply a situation where a dealer that is well known, decides to do something outside the norm. It's for fun, not for sale and it isn't anything other than a way to show people these guys are fun, enjoy the sport and like to do some corny things. Take a look at their calendar fun they've had... It's an 1199 that has some knobbies and a few skid plate ideas bolted on. I can also say that while the bike is not suited for off road, the guy riding it would probably shame several out there on dual sport of full on dirtbikes while riding this machine. It's for fun, guys. Quit being so damn serious!
  13. You did on your Hyper... $495 might have been rolled into the cost, but every dealer in the country charges the customer the $495 in freight cost... Just sayin.
  14. Keep an eye peeled with Ducati Indy and the boys and I doing something neato with Hyper Stradas... Stay tuned!!
  15. That is a bike put together by one of our dealers Moto Corse in WA. The rider is our very own Service Area Manager Quentin Wise. Great rider and local nut job. Just to make sure it is known, we were at Ducati Indy and my bike was on the lift and Bill Carr who runs those same tires (Contis) had his Multi wheels sitting in the shop and I suggested that we should slap the rear on and do some holeshots on their little dirtbike track out front. It never happened, but it wouldve been awesome. They softened the suspension a ton and slapped on the wheels. It's a cool project and out of the box. Pretty freakin neat. Oh, and it isn't the Standard. It's an S model...
  16. You buy a bike and simply bring in a piece of paper to a shop that you probably will be visiting anyways and get a $25 gift card? That's not worth the extra weight of an 8-1/2x11 piece of paper? I know that shit is heavy, but I think it might be worth the time and effort... I think that if you bring a piece of paper with a price breakdown and better than what they sell, they'd look at matching or beating if possible. That's called "sales"...
  17. Drove in it tonight here near Springfield, IL. Left MN last week and they had snow showers...
  18. Sorry I am not sure what Smart Coils are?
  19. Actually, both neighbors on either side of us are on the same thing. One works for the Frontier folks and I am supposed to ask him how to, but he's never there and I am always gone...
  20. It would be Frontier DSL also. Anyone know what I need to do in order to get it when the phone company says it is not available?
  21. So, I figure there's gotta be some pretty good folks on here that can chime in on what we should do for internet out in the rural area we live. We currently are using the Verizon 4G MiFi system. Good - it is 4G and is good on speed. Bad - costs about $200+/month and we blow through 20G allowance/month on a regular basis. Background: I work from home a lot and we have a lot of large files being shared across the world wide web and do a lot of downloading of files, etc. We DO NOT do any gaming, Netflix, etc. Simply surf and download. Options where we are: DSL. I guess we can somehow get DSL even though the phone company says it is not available. The neighbor claims there is a way and that they have it. I need to find info out on that if it is in fact the case. Dish Internet. They claim 4G speeds. Not sure if that is all the time. Plus, weather may cause issue if it is snowing or hard rain... Also has a cap like the MiFi. There's got to be some alternatives or a way to reduce my monthly costs. $200+ a month for internet is insane and coming from broadband cable internet, it has been a LOOOOOOOG 2 years out here.
  22. I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was saying they may get a bad rap? I've seen a slew of older Milles and they always are running fine and even look like they've been worn and beaten but keep on tickin. Dunno. I don't pay attention much. As for the newer rsv4r, they seem just fine to me out there. Again, not a ton out there but the ones I've seen have been solid track bikes. Guess I'm wrong again. Not sure how the fuck you guys can say I'm wrong and get all bitchy. Maybe you all need to quit reading the Internet and working out if your garages and maybe peek out in the real world. I only have two dealers that are Ape dealers and they have issues getting parts and shipments of bikes, but the bikes are holding up seemingly fine. Guess they're probably typical dealers and just lying out their teeth or their "certified techs" are really slouches and have no clue. And maybe the guys at the track are just rich SOBs that only have them because they are lucky bastards and have no idea what a real bike is. You guys are a trip. Everything sucks except what you have in the garage or what you think is best. I'm done with the conversations with retards. I'll try and have a conversation with someone that is actually an enthusiast or wants to talk motorcycles.
  23. I think they get a bad rap actually. Maybe not since the issues are in relationship to the amount they sell, but I think the bikes like the RSV4 and some older Milles I have seen at the track seem to hold up just fine...
  24. There's very few solid dealers not usually because the dealer sucks but because the supply networks are so bad. The low production, delays in shipments and the lack of parts and shipping those parts. Their fill rate is not good. Thus, a customer may have a tough time getting what they need when they need it. There are great dealers that are Aprilia dealers no doubt. But, they can only be as good as the company and how they supply things... For example, you've heard about the factory shut downs, correct? Not good...
