No, that's Madcat giving free rides. Wait, maybe free rides means something else, but that's what he was stating...

So, Santa came early... He dropped off a certain red toy that is going to be transformed into a racebike. I haven't done this in several years and was getting used to either buying high level racebikes and setting up to my style and preferences or was REALLY spoiled with the KTM in that it came race ready and just had to slap tires on the beast and a few items that I wanted to suit my needs... So, it has been since about 2003 that I have done a crate to racebike so... First of all, she needs uncrated. When the bike was ready and out of the crate, she looks like this: The bike is the new Ducati 1199 Panigale. This is the "standard" non-ABS model. Idea here is that I didn't want the electronic stuff and weighed in the fact that the suspension was only different outside the forged vs the cast wheels this one has vs. the 1199 S. So, the Standard doesn't have forged wheels, comes with Marzocchi GAS CHARGED forks up front in BEEFY 57 mm fork tubes. These are about 5 mm larger diameter than the S model that has Ohlins street and track forks. The Standard also has a Sachs rear shock vs. the TTX Ohlins shock on the S model... The issue I was faced with was run the S model and get the cool gold forks and TTX rear and get the electronic adjusters replaced with manual versions. Also, the TTX rear is the race TTX and is good to go with some spring changes and possibly internal valving to accommodate racing. But, the fork internals even though Ohlins are just street valving and not up to spec of what I need to race. So, I would still have to get the 30mm kit... So, price weighed in as the motors are all the same with exception to the R model which is just too far out of reach in terms of cost. So, we will do an Ohlins TTX rear and 30mm cartridge kit and test with the Gas Charged stuff to see where it stands. The wheels are obviously cast vs the forged, but I need another set of wheels anyways so, will look at the OZ wheels for race... Here she is staring at the camera asking to be stripped of her clothing... I will update as we do things to it. The short list is: -Termi full system and up map -GPS race plugin -Woodcraft rearsets -Woodcraft clip-ons -Sharskin or Ducat DP race plastics -Ohlins TTX -Ohlins 30mm Cartridge Kit There will be more along the way. We will try working the stock ECU and possibly trying to get my hands on a few Corse parts and spec thingies...

Santa came early, bitches...

I'd be willing to attend and help if needed or wanted. Up to you... Could pass on knowledge if desired...

Dude, 3 laps on an XR would be murder. It would take 20 minutes to run that. If he's got sapre time like that, we can use more practice time. No offense, but if he does a WERA type mini bullshit, I will get out there on my Zuma and 4th and 99 everyone so they can't race afterwards to prevent it from going on next time. That shit is all cool, but on a big track with no way to short cut it? Murder with a capital shit myself...

What, no Ninja Turtle this year?? Actually looks really good. WHo painted them? I likey!!

List updated. New AGV suit and new AStar Supertech boots are sold also!
-
I want to see pics! You do know Craig, you need to roll that shit in the dirt to get the gremlins out. I didn't after Chad painted my skins and you saw what that got me in turn 12...

That is the first generation and a lot has changed on the second version. I got one for my son (2nd) and it is a MUCH better suit than the one being advertised. But, for $300 retail, you are getting something better than most. The seam construction is weak on these and not a great suit in terms of fit. Somewhat boxy and loose. Again, for the $300 price point, it is an awesome suit.

Actually, Arai has been for several years. They do colabs with AGV and Suomy still. Well, I think this is the last year with Suomy as the Vandal just isn't that good a lid vs the others. The AGV they use is for entry level stuff and they did a Rossi replica of course for his time there. Yes, Dainese does a lot of the gear, but they have done a lot with Revit. You are correct on the AGV/Dainese relationship. It's been that way for years, but only in regards to the helmets (AGV Spa). AGV Sport is the leather and street branded company. Totally seperate thus why the issue in wearing AGV leathers... The helmets are fine to a degree, but we focus more on the Arai stuff currently. We also just created a relationship with TCX as there will be no more Puma performance boots. Which is a good thing...
-
Most likely Arai and probably Arsenal custom leathers... Arai due to the relationship and most the lids being from them. Arsenal because one of my dealers is the guy behind the company and their stuff rocks. Ducati hasn't done a suit yet. We are sold out at this time so, I need something and AGV suits are kinda bad to wear according to some of the guys inside...

Ooops. Fixed.

OK, so I may be moving to another brand of helmet and these are the first to go. I really hate to sell the Rally Matte Black, but it won't be much good if I wear something else. I have two more coming up possibly, but will wait until I confirm what I am doing for next year. So, Bell helmet sale... ALL ARE SIZE MEDIUM. Bell Rally Matte Black. Retail $549.99. Asking $175. My favorite lid. Wore it and never crashed or dropped it. I wanted it to stand out a bit so, I did some gloss pinstripes and custom vinyl decals on the white stripe. Wore it for the first year I had it and then VERY limited as I kept getting new ones each season. Comes with a dark smoke tear off shield. Helmet bag is standard stuff. Second one is the Bell Star Carbon Roland Sands Speed Freak. SOLD!!

AStar KTM Gloves are sold. List has been updated. Make offers!!

That's for newer generation GSXRs. The chassis was completely changed and the numbers will not work with your chassis. PLEASE do not use gixxer.com for resources for racing/track days. Please... Did you call and ask Reuben if he had any notes on the 04/05s?

I make tri[ps to Indy about every month now so, I can also assist if it happens to work out. Easiest way is to PM me and ask when I will be going through. My biggest challenge will be that I come from the north via Fort Wayne...

Oh, trust me. I want him out there more than anyone else does. I've always enjoyed riding with him and trust me when I say he is one of the best guys I have had the privilege of getting smoked by.

Nice!!!

Depends on budget as Mad stated. I run a church style van with an enclosed trailer. I run just the van for dirty bike riding and the trailer when road race stuff is going on. Idea for me is the tools and possible work area should it be needed. Hard to work on stuff inside a van... worse with a pick up truck... Point is that you can baller it all day and get the RV and have AC, fridge, shelter, beds, etc. That would be sweet. But, I don't need the fuel bill and you can't just run to Lowe's with the thing to get lumber. Same with an enclosed trailer. I can haul sheets of plywood, furniture, etc. Toy haulers are kewl, but you can't haul much shit in the back as they are minimalist - toys are a thought, but it is an RV first and trailer second.

It's an SX, right? Any idea of how hard it is to find engine parts for this thing? I'd like to have it to restore it, but hate to get something that you can't get parts for...
-
Nice!! In my opinion, the best color choice for that bike. Shows the lines well and looks a lot more aggressive. Did you end up buying from the dealer we discussed?
-
Unless racing, a belly pan is certainly suggested - especially if running Advanced, but a belly pan is not mandatory.

Basically, everything he is saying is total bullshit then. Two jobs, $300 on crap a month, GI Bill paying for college, etc. How the hell are you blowing two jobs supposedly good paying jobs? He doesn't have money, spends like a tool bag, asks daddy to buy him a toy he shouldn't be using anyways. Here's the drill bankruptcy or not. You have someone pay for the bike, register the bike and pay for the insurance? It isn't your bike. If you are trying to pull a fast one on the government and hide assets, you probably should pick someone that you trust instead of having a bad history and thinking you can go there vs. someone else. Long story short, if the guy is older than 21, he's as immature as a 14 year old. He's done a military tour, been working two jobs, married and has kids? I know a SHIT LOAD of people in that same situation or even worse and they work things pretty damn good. Oh, wait... They are grown ups and understand responsibility.

Out of curiosity because I have a friend that COULD be interested in the Lambo. What are the details on it? Price? I'm dead serious on a friend that might be interested...

Hmmm... Being the baller you are smoking and drinking $300 a month, how about becoming a bit better at managing your finances and buy a bike on your own and insure it on your own? You get on here and bitch about your dad and since there are two sides to every story, I am willing to bet the bike being in your dad's name and the registration in your name also means it is HIS bike and not YOUR bike. Correct us if I am wrong. But, if you drink and smoke $300 a month and have that bike, you sure as shit could have made the monthly payments and got it registered in your name. Something isn't adding up here and maybe you have some sort of mental issues where you need attention or something. Dunno. But, it sure as hell sounds like it. You claim to own this bike, but it is at Daddy's house, in Daddy's name and registered to Daddy which probably means Daddy is paying insurance since you can't insure a bike you don't own. How we doing so far? Daddy's bike and Daddy wants to ball it up and ride it or rub his wiener on it? His bike. He can do what he wants with it. Maybe the son is thinking he gets a free pass and all these things paid for and free storage and doesn't owe Daddy shit? If I were your Dad, I'd wheelie that thing in front of your house and float the valves with the throttle wide open playing Kid Rock on my boom box.
