  1. So, whatcha sayin is you've sampled said nuts? Wow... You do know this is the world wide web, right?
  2. But do they have Roadracing World in the waiting room? If not, they suck Flounder's nuts...
  3. I have always bought my tires (6 sets so far) and always feel they have some great deals, but today, I decided to wait in the lobby for some tires being rotated for our car and what did I see? They have Roadracing World!!! Name me another non motorcycle related place that would carry that!!! Just another reason to buy from these guys! Ok, maybe not, but its pretty freakin cool!!
  4. Same deal. Car isn't designed to tow such things, but shouldn't be an issue with such a small trailer and a bike under 400 lbs...
  5. Uh, it is an open trailer that weighs nothing and with an F150 like you have, you can load the bike on the ball itself and have zero issue... Basically, rule of thumb is to try and center the weight right over the axle. You are way over thinking this thing, though. Slap her on the center of the axle and tow away.
  6. This is a great guess as well. Forgot about Wolverine!! I'd put Dane as my third place finisher. JD is gonna be good this year since they ditched the Duc.
  7. Who cares? The race series to watch is the young pups class which they never televise. No offense to the Daytona Sportbike class, but the Supersport class is where the action is. If I were to guess, DiSalvo and Cardenas are the favorites as they are the only one left. I'd Go with a wildcard guy like Gerloff as a third. But, I suspect that Corey will be up there... 200 predictions are so cray as so much can happen. Better bet is to guess the Superpsort finish... I am crossing fingers on Jake pulling it out.
  8. Novice group is designed to be easy for the starter to get his/her bike to the track. Ideally, remove the mirrors. If not, point all the way forward and use painter's tape to tape the mirror part. Use painter's tape on all lights both front and rear and all lenses - turns and reflectors. Remove the fuses for the tail light and brake light. DO NOT - DO NOT leave the tail on so it has a brake showing. Also, it is recommended that you pull the connector for the headlight so it is not on. Use DUCT TAPE on all wheel weights - clip on and tape on style. Remove your license plate and related nuts and bolts. Double check the following: -Torque on drain plug -Torque on oil fill -Torque on filter -Check your brake pads. Mostly the fronts. You want good pads. -Check the typically overlooked like levers, throttle play and return, rearsets for loose, exhaust with a jiggle to make sure it is tight. -MAKE SURE YOUR CHAIN IS THE PROPER TENSION!! Too many track day riders come in to tech with banjo tight chains. The chain needs to be loose so the rear suspension can work properly. Under load, the chain gets tighter. If like a banjo, under load when the rear squats, the chain gets even tighter and can snap. Snapped chains and cases typically do not mix well... Overall, it's your first time and ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS! If you need anything, just PM me when you are going. I do not instruct there, but am there almost every event and will be glad to make sure you are getting what you need. Try and take a two day course also. Reason being is the first day is chock full of nerves and by the time you settle in, you are at the last session. So, the second day allows you to actually use what was taught and allows you to focus more. It is a much more enjoyable experience the second time around. Anyways, HAVE FUN!!
  9. I agree 100%. That's why I take my stuff to Reuben. He's a certified tech in numerous Japanese brands and has had experience on some higher level teams not to mention his own racing program that saw him as a number #1 national plate holder... But, just because someone is an independent shop owner doesn't mean they are reputable... It always pays to do homework... CL ain't doing good homework.
  10. The Honda dealership in Troy off I75 isn't the same thing at all. Is that the shop you refer to? It isn't related...
  11. Look, man... There are guys that are legit mechanics. Don't take a Triumph to a guy on CL. Hell, don't take ANY bike to a dude off CL. The fact is that bikes are not like replacing a chain. You need to find a guy that has a legit tech that can work on your stuff. Take it to a dealership as they have the tools and if something is odd, can help with Good Will or warranty. I never understand the idea that taking it to a back yard mechanic makes any sense. A lot of things can be done by yourself and clutch replacement is pretty low on the technical level. However, many people do not have tools or the time and thus, a tech is what they need. Finding someone that is a proper trained tech is important or you run into these kind of things... Your best bet no matter what you own is buying a certified Service Manual. Not a Chilton style one, either. One direct from Triumph. Hell, you can probably find it free online if you look hard enough...
  12. The tight fit is needed to keep the armor from rolling on you when you tumble. Key thing is that comfort while standing as others have pointed out is not something to look for. If you cannot get on a bike and move around, get into a catcher's position and extend the arms out forward and see how it feels. Decent indicator as to fit. Remember one thing - most suits are somewhat different from one another. Most suits tend top fit similar if comparable in style and price. A $1200 suit ain't gonna fit like a $300 suit, etc... If you know what brand, we can direct you to some suits that are around to try on. Basically, I suspect that Todd will allow you to swap for another size if it doesn't fit. I have never seen anyone tell someone they are stuck with it if they don't fit... I see Spidi on MS's website, but if they were getting them through Motonation, Motonation is now an AGV distributor. I can say that AGV and Spidi fit Euro like and would fit similar to an AStar suit.
  13. He does it while near them or people are calling due to what they perceive as a dude taking a whiz on the sidewalk, etc. It isn't like the cops aren't doing their jobs for christ's sake. Jesus... It's a funny and awesome prank and the cops are doing exactly what they should be doing. There was one cop that charged and of them all, he was the coolest about it and wrapped his arm around the guy and was cool. You guys and complaining about them not catching real criminals is hilarious. Would you have been fine if he was really taking a whiz and the cops saw him and simply decided there's more important things to do than check out a guy that is whizzing on the sidewalk? You'd bitch because they walked on by...
  14. Not surprised at this at all. Hate saying it as I was close friends with Flipper's business partner and fellow team owner. The stories I have heard over the last 13 plus years would shock most. God Speed, but ultimately, you can only live like that for so long before it catches up with you. I feel for his family and friends at their loss, but I suspect they are not shocked, either... Saddened, however I am sure.
  15. So, anyone find gas to have risen up? Our local gas stations are typically higher than out by the interstate. They have been @ $.08/gal for the last two weeks. I paid $3.58 last night and need fuel for the dirty bikes today... Was afraid to even trek into town...
  16. Oh, for sure. They have MAP policies and even RSAs that they have to abide by. But, they could still advertise certain items that do NOT have a policy and yet they do not. Tires do not have MAP policies and yet I don't see a cluster of that going on. I also do not see Pony blowing it up with their prices on closeouts that have zero MAP policies. I just think the right guys do the right thing and do it well. Hob seems to be doing that also. I think it is cool and refreshing. Trust me, I see shit everyday in this industry. We have a bike right now that is CRAZY rare and I have dealers already advertising it or rather, telling customers that they will knock off $500 off retail. The things are so hard to get that retail is a DEAL! Yet, there are guys cutting throats even though they don't have to. I think being professional in how you do ads on forums is cool. RD and Hob and Pony do that. So do the others, but we see more from the three I just mentioned. They could get in a pissing match, but that ends up bad for everyone and they avoid that. So far, at least!
  17. I know, but I like how they do it and keep it professional. I think it adds credibility and allows it to be off the board in terms of pricing. Wasn't suggesting you make them all do it. Just thought it was cool they do.
  18. Drive up and check out Mid-Ohio muffler in Ontario, OH. They custom built an exhaust for my van and it was pretty damn impressive. FAIR priced also!
  19. Also to note, I like how Riders does it and what Hob has somewhat done in that they have you PM them for prices. Keeps it from being a whore bid on stuff. I think all sponsors should be required to do this vs advertising a price on forums. Might be a rule that I don't know about so, I will keep quiet, but I like what they are doing...
  20. The thing is that there are multiple dealers on here. I don't see why Brandon wouldn't be allowed to pay to advertise also. I bet Pony, Riders Discount, McCoy, Hob's, Independent, 35 Motorsports, etc are all going to be competing in the sale of any set item. Same with the fact that there are multiple track day sponsors, etc... I think the more, the better. Brandon gets Sidi and AGV and Hob doesn't. They both get the same tires, but not the same as Riders and Pony... There's enough to go around in my mind. I suspect there is a reason. Always two sides... Casper will chime in and educate us and we will know for sure. I am willing to bet he has a good reason or there is a complete mis-understanding...
  21. Pull your pants down and look. Then, look at the kitty cats. The one with the same looking parts as you is the female.
  22. We need a cat for the mice around the property. Or, are these too weak and frail to be left outside and left to their own means of feeding? I would obviously have some cat food...
  23. Boom! That just happened... I overheard Mad on the phone a while ago telling someone "I'm gonna tea bag your tonsils only if you floss" and thought that was fairly odd...
  24. You will net better gains with an FMF canister with that Power header... Especially vs the 2 Bros...
  25. He's a little slow. In his very rainbowish world, they still call them fanny packs. If they used what every heterosexual male calls a fag bag, they'd all start crying and getting their 1980s running shorts in a bind...
