I am going for sure Saturday weather permitting. I think only my son is coming so, there is certainly room and we can share the cost of the room if ya wanna. I'd like to leave early saturday morning. I could possibly leave Friday night, but prefer to leave in the morning to avoid hotel costs... Let me know

DO NOT USE CANYON DANCERS!!!! They will tear the shit out of your grips and actually PULL the grips inward which can cause the throttle grip to become cruise control. I see guys at the track and you can tell they use CD as they are always pulling on their grips to get them back where they should be. The Pitbull TRS is awesome for sure. But, for a pick up, they are somewhat tough to suggest as I think for what trucks are used for, they make it tough to use the bed for other things or to change the position of the bike, etc... But, stay away from CDs!! If you want something similar, these are the ones you want to avoid everything the CDs provide... http://www.cyclecynch.com/ Also, if you get into a trailer option and haul with one, get the ancors to allow you to strap at the bottom of the forks above the axles. We haul the bikes at this point to allow the bike to use it's suspension vs being pulled down. It's rough on the bike overall to pull down on them as many do over the course of time. A few times here and there? Nah. But, you haul like we do and have expensive suspension components, you should tie down like we do or get the Pitbull system...

He was actually gaining on the group Hayden was in towards the end of the race. Plus, even still, he was certainly far enough in front of Spies and the CRTs and was gone to no "watching"... Here's the thing I get tired of. All of a sudden, Rossi is being dumped by his fans. He's being joked about or even had stones thrown for comments about Stoner when he was on the Ducati. Few little facts... Stoner when he was riding the Duc and even the year he won the championship, had crashed more than anyone else in the paddock. He had a TOUGH time getting to terms with the bike. He also has stated recently, comments that show it was tough getting the Duc to a place it would win. SToner is really good. REALLY good. Not a fan, but Lord knows he has talent and now that he is on one of the top bikes, he is certainly a contender for the championship. Rossi is struggling for several reasons. First, he is a rider that has accomplished more than any other rider. He has ridden at a level that he expects to be up front. He gets frustrated when he cannot and he is one of the BEST development riders. Also, the Italians are VERY hard to deal with. They are MUCH slower than what Rossi is accustomed to. They take longer, have a MUCH deeper sense of opinion than others. Trust me, I've dealt with Italian companies and what he is saying is VERY typical. That adds to the frustration. I think they will get it right. He chose a setup and gambled. He lost. When they get it right, he will be right there in that top three area I believe. Just dont throw stones at Rossi for not being where he should be, don't be critical to what he is doing or not doing... Trust me, had he stayed with Yamaha (Remember, he made that bike what it is), he'd probably be giving Stoner fits... I also believe that this is not the last you will see of Rossi on the podium winning... I think unless things show signs of winning ways, he will get back with a team on a bike he can win for one last go. He's far from over. Remember, some guys even though "old" can still stick with the youngins...

True, true. But, I did get a TON of guys switched to Michelins when on them. I really believe in the Dunlops and since you and I know we get a really good deal on Michelins, it isn't about the sponsorship. I actually feel thy are a better tire. Plus, the trackside support is the biggest thing for me. Dunlop is good peeps. You will actually get trackside support and info moreso on Dunlops than any other brand for sure. Setup is SOOOOO important for tires. Not only to get the longest life out of them, but also for the best performance possible. I've not ridden the new BStones. But, have in the past and know a few buddies who have ridden the newest ones. Same with Michelin. It's all about supporting the organization also. I think supporting Todd is the biggest thing here. Unless you are directly sponsored, buying at the track is the best form of support behind fees. Dunno. Rant over... Back to the gayness.

Tie down to the bars or the triple clamps. Do not tie to the frame or anything off the front end. Typically, we tie down to the bars when in a truck. As mentioned, soft ties as they are called are a great investment. They allow you to avoid the hooks directly to the metal. Plus, they also allow another pivot point of sorts and an extension. Stick with traditional or ratchet tie downs. Ratchet is cool, but I hate them as often times, newer guys ratchet down too much and really stress the forks and front... But, they won't back off... Few thoughts... Make sure to pull down and forward front the top. Hence the triples or bars. Also, make sure the hook at the bottom where you attach to the bed has the hook opening facing forward. Reason being is IF something gets somewhat loose, the bike will travel up and down a bit. If the hook opening is facing backwards, it COULD drop enough that it could unhook. Seen it happen once. That was enough for me... That's all you need. Two tie downs and two soft ties. Pretty simple.

Guys, why would you settle for lesser quality when the prices are really close? I am not sure on that mentality. Buying older Dunlop componds, settling for BStones, etc... $399 a set for the newest Dunlops? Hard to beat that price and with free mounting and supporting the race org... Plus, it is pretty taboo to bring tires to the track and ask to have them mounted...
-
You can watch a good number of guys break track records on GPA-211s. N-Tecs are damn good, but the fact is that the new Dunlop compounds are really good. For $399 a set for the new 211s is an amazing deal and you really need to consider them over the Stones. Stones are a great entry level tire. But, if you have set up questions, not many guys to ask. Dunlop? A LOT of guys will be running them... just sayin...

You can transfer from the old XBox and use in the new ones, correct? He wants the latest version...
-
So, after 5 years, my son's XBox 360 is showing the three rings of death. Out of warranty and costs about $99 w/o shipping to fix... It is the Halo version and the reason he wanted to always keep it. SOOOOOO... I need a new XBox and he really wants to keep it the older one to save his memory. Anyone have a good used one for sale? Or better questions - can you somehow transfer old XBox 360 to new XBox 360 memory? I is dumb, dumb with dis...

23 is way too low for street riding. And, you are not getting that thing over on it's edge so, the tire temps are going to be standard issue. 36-40 is a lot better starting point. Don't go with 42. That is a cold PSI based on maximum load for that tire. Two up? Yes. Yourself? Run the 35 range and see where that gets you. The center is done, but could be smoothed out overall. Also, the cupping is probably a done deal and where I was referring to when saying that by the wear, you are not overly aggressive (good thing by the way on the street) and probably cannot get the cupping evened out. Overall, get a better tire. Watch the PSI and check everyday before you roll out...
-
It's all about PSI and suspension setup. The cupping is from air pressure. Has nothing to do with the leaning in on turns, etc. You are loading the tire on acceleration and weight of rider. These tires may react differently than your Michelins did and should have been adjusted accordingly. You have some serious wear going on. I think the suspension is probably also lacking preload and reb/comp. I don't think you are riding the tire hard by the wear on the edges so, I am not sure you can save that one at this stage. You might, but it looks to be a lesson rather than a save and continue. I'd mess with air pressure to see if you can prevent it from getting worse. That way, if you do go back to that brand, you can have notes for it and allow it to last longer. The way that thing is cupping, you GOTTA feel it in transition and in the corners...

Thiel's just bought the shop down there. The shop in Upper Sandusky is where I would send it vs down there. The Upper shop has very service guys and two dynos... No idea on the Dayton shop... But, it was a buy/sell vs an existing shop. If down there, Joe's been in business a looooong time. Bet he can hammer out a valve adjustment quick.

Nah, you keep it. Won't fit on the RC8! pay it forward, man. It's all good!

You might have a solid chance the first session. I really will lug around to make sure everything is doing what it is supposed to. The KTM guys put everything together and did it OEM, but ya know that it only makes the world more secure to know everything can stay together after the first session. Get me in the first few laps as I will probably come in and do a quick check... Then? I will hunt you like a starving coyote chasing a little bunny rabbit with a bacon collar around it's neck... -

The question is that after you pass, can you hold me off? -

Nope. Was going to register today as I have been on the road all week. I'll sign up for another one before the Nelson event or the AMA RRGC event. It'll be packed like Madcat's lunch after sleeping with Craig. I'm kinda glad it worked out that way... But, will definitely make another one. Keep me posted... -
Sorry about that, man. Problem when using different exhausts and mid-pipes. Those were prototypes and were for the exhaust I was using... I thought it was not going to work when I saw the pic and the distance from the sub to the can. If I find something or anything, I will bring it to Nelson at the end of the month.
-
Perfect! Yes, the sliders are something to consider ditching for track use. Guys will argue, but after 14 years and all you have to do is look at any Club or AMA grid and you will see a majority not using them. Ripped out a few motor bolts. Yes, epic is a great word... Just get the lines pulled and replaced and fill the fluid. We can bleed them at the track in no time. Just bring fluid and we can hammer it out Saturday. You really need the lines more than anything else as they are really going to be an issue if using stock. Plus, WAY easy and very quick to do... I'd run the OEM stay as they are fairly cheap now. We stopped using the aftermarket ones due to Ebay being able to get OEM ones really cheap. Check on them as they may not be anymore... I may have one at home. Let me check... Again, I will make you a smokin deal on that damper...

I'm in for Saturday and Sunday now that Putnam is sold out... Better anyways as I would rather setup for Nelson with the bike, but really wanted to get break in time at Putnam... Anyways, see you all both days weather permitting!

Welp, looks like Nelson only for me! Sucks. See you all doing MS on Saturday and Sunday. -
Looks great. Few suggestions... -Take and remove the screws that hold the upper secure where the mirror mounts are and replace with a black zip tye. Reason being is that the zip tye will break in a crash and save the wings on the upper avoiding breaking them off and a lot of work repairing them. -Shorten the frame sliders. The rider's left one is really long. Hard to tell on rider's right, but if too long, they will not only grab more, but also bend or snap off the motor mount. We have gotten away from frame sliders as most racers no longer run them due to these issues. Just a suggestion from experience... -The throttle tube and clip-on really needs a plastic cap like on the clutch side. Reason being that if you crash, you will grind down the throttle tube and make life really tough to get back into the races or track day times you have left. Plus, those plastic caps can avoid replacing the bar at times also. You pop the caps off and replace. -BRAKE LINES! Essential on the GSXRs. They are notorious for brake fade even with good braided lines. I suggest Speigler. Outside those things, looks great!!

That confirms what I was thinking. I guess I was thinking the Warden was a State officer for sure, but not an enforcement type of officer in the regards being talked about. The Park/Forrest Ranger does... It's his patrol of the land and the area the State owns. Like a University Cop of sorts...
-
But, isn't it only on State Approved land? Like if you were driving through a State Forrest area? I never heard of Game Wardens having the ability to pull anyone over. I have heard of Forrest Rangers doing this, but dunno, I guess...
-
Or, he could have seen something along the side of the road and put the lights on and brakes to attend to it. Tan truck and not a sheriff or ST, keep driving... He has zero authority except maybe within the state park or similar.

If you have a previous race series license as stated. Drew was a WERA and AMA expert. He just signs up...
