  1. JRMiii knows were to find some kinda funny cartoons. Happy now? The whole flap could have been avoided if they would have released the speech shortly after they announced he was going to do it. Not a bad idea though..
  2. Nope, not mad. Actually, I feel sorry for you. It must be really difficult to go through life playing the victim and blaming things on race all the time. Honestly, I can't imagine what it would be like not to be able to present my side of the argument because I'm so wrapped up in skin color. I asked you several pointed questions, and you couldn't or wouldn't answer any of them. Why is that? Obviously you're not stupid - you've figured out how to get on-line and cause a ruckus here. Seems to me that if you REALLY wanted BHO to succeed you'd be able to offer up some information as to how he can do that. But no, the only thing you can say is I (or others) don't like him because he's black. Sad really. Bahahahahahahhaha.... Ahhh, if you knew me you'd no how ridiculous that statement is. Its pretty tough to hurt my feelings - "e" or otherwise. Carry on...
  3. And if he would have let everyone know that up front, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
  4. Give what a break? I'd say its obvious that I disagree. Agreed? Lately when I've given rep (positive or negative) I sign it T43. Whats so "cryptic" about that. I wasn't aware that I had to put my whole name down. Jesus...get over the whole rep thing, will ya? I get plenty of unsigned rep, who gives a shit? Amazing how people cry about it.
  5. Oh boo fucking hoo. If you have to explain the fact that you're not "gangsta", maybe you should look at how you act, and the image you project. Maybe people are getting the wrong idea about you. I'd say you're more of a race baiter, FWIW.
  6. FYI, I dont often do the rep thing. When I do, I sign it. Actually throwing your two cents into a discussion without adding anything to the discussion is attention whoring. Have a nice day.
  7. I was not the only one who spoke up regarding this subject. Seriously, if I've said more than YOU thought I should have, maybe you should quit reading?
  8. Ahhhh....the race card again. Congats! You fail too. By the way, its good that he released the speech, and I'm happy that it seems to be the typical innocuous "stay in school" message. A lot of the angst and gnashing of teeth over the last could have been avoided if this would have been done from the start. That being said, I'm still happy that my kids' schools have chosen not to air the speech = they already know the whole "do your homework, stay in school, be somebody", thing.
  9. Question - who are these "others" you speak of? Seriously, quit speaking in the abstract. If you haven't been elected to represent the "others" maybe you should consider speaking for yourself?
  10. Yes...your "bbbbuuuuttt bush did it" statement echoes everything that comes from the liberal left/progressive movement. And you can continue to think that my opposition to BHO = support of the Bush presidency. Certainly you're entitled to your opinion, but your thoughts as the relate to me, personally, are wrong. Wow - Bush had 35 czars in 8 years, and all of those positions are not provided for in the Constitution. BHO has 32 in 8 months, and all of those positions are Unconstitutional as well. What, exactly is your point? Yeah...I addressed you. Are you standing by your statement that quoting my post means you werent addressing me? Or is it a "bbbbuuuutttt he did first" kind of thing. Exactly how are "parents using their kids to make statements" in this instance? How is a parent deciding what is right and wrong for a child "wrong on so many levels"? Is is better to let the government decide? Go have another sip...you're almost there.
  11. Ahhh, you're following the party line nicely. "BBbbbuuuuttttt Bush did it too.." If you're going to tell me that Bush had more "czars' at this point in his administration than BHO has right now you ought to come to the table with some facts that didn't happen. Maybe I could take a page out JRMiii's book and say "bullshit - if you can't prove it, it didnt happen"? The last time something "similar" to this happened (2001) my kids werent in school, and because of that I was rather disinterested. However, I never said that a "president shouldn't speak to anyone in my family". What I've said is if they want to see or hear it, its fine - no problem. But like anything else of questionable intent I want to be involved with it. Additionally, taking valuable classroom time for something like this is a waste. Of course it "serves my purpose". Obviously, your stance on the topic "serves your purpose". People talk about things that affect them on some level. Again with the bbbbbuuut bbbbbush (or whoever) did it. You seem to have that down pretty well. One more time - my disagreement with the current administration DOES NOT IMPLY THAT I APPROVED OF EVERYTHING ANY PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION DID. Oh, my bad. I thought when you quoted someone else's post you WERE addressing them directly. My bad. I'm still waiting for someone to call me a Nazi, or compare me to Hitler.
  12. What does it have to do with the discussion at hand? Sure you can, its just not relevant. Just as some of you assume my disdain for BHO is rooted in tacit racism, you also feel that my disdain for the current administration implies approval of the previous one. Both assumptions are wrong. "Its RACIST" and "BBBbbbbuuuuttttt BBbbbbuuuusssh did it" are old, tired arguments, and only serve to disguise the fact that you have no real argument and nothing of merit to support your position. Come on....say it with me.... "You're a RACIST" "BBBBBbbbbuuuut Bush did it" "You're STUPID" Now, take another drink of the kool-aid. See? All better....
  13. Yeah...kind of Most have. I didn't approve of it then, and I don't approve of it now.
  14. The difference is Cabinet level positions must be confirmed by congress. The "czars" are different in that they aren't confirmed by congress. You can call them anything you want, but basically its been a move for a president to "get someone on the payroll" that doesn't have to be approved by congress. It circumvents the checks and balances on the executive branch that are provided for by the Constitution, and is therefore unconstitutional.
  15. About what I'd expect from someone like you. A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.
  16. Of course I only present one viewpoint - MINE. Although if "diversity czar" Mark Lloyd gets his way, I'll probably HAVE to present both sides of any discussion I may become involved in. I've not disrespected anyone. As I recall, you were the one calling people "racist" because they disagree with the current administration. Its called diversionary because you throw the 'race card' or scream "bbbbbbuuuuttt bbbbuuuush did it", instead of answering a question that was posed directly to you. If that's the best you can do, you're not even as good as JRMiii - at least he can post a cartoon once in a while. I'm thinking colorofchange.org or Al Sharpton's gang could use someone like you. They seem to be pretty good at playing the race card. I mean you're not quite up to their level yet, but they can probably give you some pointers. Maybe you should check them out?
  17. I'm sure you can find a braille copy of the Constitution. If not I bet a federal agency can get you one personally. Maybe you can call your congress"person" - if you know who he or she is. For your information, those "czar" positions aren't listed in the Constitution. Why? Because we dont need them There are over 200 of the "approved" cabinet level positions that he HASN'T filled yet. Some of the jobs open include assistant secretary of state for nonproliferation, and the directors of the Agency for International Development, Customs and Border Protection, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.Guess he's been too busy adding people to his team that DONT need to go through Congress. Wow...another typical liberal answer...bbbbbbut bbbbbush did _______ (fill in the blank) I find it offensive that because I disagree with what is going on you assume that I approve without question what went on in the previous administration. More diversionary tactics from someone with nothing at all to say. Honestly, you're far more entertaining when you're race-baiting.
  18. Keep in mind that the Constitution is more than the First and Second Amendments: Van Jones (or any of the other "czars" in the administration) The "Public Option" in the Health Care Plan He fired the CEO of a Company (GM) He took over a company (GM) and gave half of it to a labor Union (UAW) Allowing former Gitmo prisoners (enemy combatants) to sue. Keeping lists of private citizens who were critical of his policies. We wont get into any of the other "liberal" limits that have been placed on our freedoms. That should keep you busy for a bit. You know, you're a lot like JRMiii. You duck the issues brought up by others and refuse to answer any questions. I can tell by your response that you haven't bothered to take a look at Godwin's Law, you really should - you might learn something. Of course, I'm an old white guy - what would I know, right? Honestly, your cry of 'racism' says way more about you than it does about me. Say it loud, say it over and over and over - maybe they wont notice that you cant refute an argument with facts or reason.
  19. Oh yeah...I forgot. Trampling the constitution at every turn doesnt have anything to do with any thing. Personally, what you think of me as a parent will have no effect on how I raise them. Yeah, you're THAT unimportant. You're right. I don't like him, or his policies, and I choose not to expose my kids to it. And guess what? I don't have to do anything special about it. I'm fortunate enough to live in a school district that has chosen not to waste valuable classroom time by airing the speech. Its a win-win for everybody. I've been waiting for someone to throw down the race card in this. When you run out of coherent arguments, or facts, its always best to play the victim, isnt it? I guess i can now add you to the list of semi-famous people that have recently blamed their misfortunes and failures on race - David Patterson, Charlie Rangle, ChickOn2. It's bullshit. Get over it. Read the constitution. Learn about our system of government. See how the liberal wing of the democrat party is trampling all over the principles this country was started on. When you've digested all of that, then come back and tell me its about the color of his skin. Last time I checked, he's half white anyway. Yeah, I'm old enough to remember. I've already explained the differences between that (and other situations) and this particular example. I'll not waste the bandwidth rehashing all of that. The biggest tragedy on American soil? Are you old enough to remember who was in the White House during the attack on the Cole, or the first WTC bombing and did NOTHING about it? I'm guessing he might have been too disctacted by the fat chick slobbering all over his cock to do anything about it. And I suppose THAT statement isn't racist at all, right? Am to infer that you now feel "represented" by the current administration? If so, is it because he's (half) black, or because he'd wipe his ass with the constitution if he thought he could get away with it? Here's a hint - one choice makes you a racist, the other a socialist, or communist - whichever you prefer. Ever heard of "Godwin's Law"? Google it. Maybe you could have your own "teachable moment" all in the comfort of your home? See if the concept applies here. I'll give you another hint - swap "Hitler" for "race card". Racist...that's a good one.
  20. Perhaps now with all the discussion he WILL keep the speech "on topic". Prior to the flap, I would say all bets are off. As far as I'm concerned you never know what's going to come out of his mouth - I mean teleprompter - next. Bahahahahahahahahahahahahah...... I do respect the office of President, but the man - no way. I'll start respecting the president when he starts respecting the true spirit of the constitution. Until then, I'll just put up with him until he's gone. If polls and public opinion mean anything that won't be much longer.
  21. Did you bother to read ANY of the posts, or did you just feel the need to get your two cents in? Dont worry...the government will tell you when to listen and tune in.
  22. Easy up big guy...I was just asking for some clarification. Wasn't busting your balls at all. I was agreeing with you there too. Thanks for your service. The majority of Americans (me included) appreciate what you did. Not everyone is capable. My point with bringing up Sheehan is where is she now? She was camped out on Bush's doorstep, wanting every soldier home, but now that BO hasn't delivered on his "promises" why isnt she camped out harassing him? Ahhh...the duplicity - you could cut it with a knife. I can't think of ANYTHING he's done that I agree with. I'd love to hear your take on the 10% that you do agree with. I appreciate your agreement, but I have to ask what "hidden agenda" are you referring to? When people use words like that it conjures up images of a "vast right wing conspiracy" in my mind. Personally, I think the agenda is very clear - a lot of people don't like what BO's doing and they are getting vocal about it. Perhaps its because that now the right is on the offensive, and its the left's turn to be defensive? Are the keys in different places on that keyboard?
  23. So, are you saying that because people don't like his policies we should just STFU and let it go because he managed to get elected? Seriously, part of what makes this country the best place on earth to live is the fact that we don't have to agree with every person that makes it to the highest office. We are free to make our opposition known and fight for what we believe is right. Try that in China, North Korea, or Cuba - let me know how it works out for ya. Racism is racism - it doesn't have a "reverse gear". It is what it is. Obama promised "change" and we're getting it - change for the sake of change isn't always good. Oh, and that Iraq, Afghanistan thing - don't worry about that he'll get to it sooner or later Question though - where's Cindy Sheehan now?
