  1. This is cool. I'll run this while I get live timing from National Trails (Points Meet) and Summit Motorsports Park (ADRL) from 1320go.com So many streaming motorsports tabs open...
  2. The EX and the YZF are only 100cc difference in size, but are WORLDs apart in power and riding style. If you're flipping it in the Spring then whatever, but the YZF would be the better bet if you end up having to hold it for awhile. I'd almost guarantee you'll be holding on to that old EX longer than the YZF when it comes time to craigslist it just because there isn't a huge market of buyers looking for bikes that old. Even as a 'beginner' bike... I just have a feeling that the EX is a lot harder sell than the YZF for the reasons of the posters above.
  3. But I don't remember if you were hungover, or just sick.

You never did get around to taking the LSL bars off huh?
  5. Be lucky it's just OnStar right now. When CARB implements OBD3 diagnostics, there's rumors of ALL new vehicles being able to be tracked, wirelessly. So, for those with uber-paranoia, pretty soon you'll be stuck buying used cars pre model year 201x for the rest of your lives.
  6. I've read about this... I even got the OnStar TOS in my e-mail regarding it about a week ago. I have mixed feelings. I'm a BIG privacy advocate, so the "spying" and selling of data without my consent, I'm not keen on. Data collection is great for companies when it's done and parsed in "anonymous aggregate" - it makes for better products, reflects of actual market use, etc. etc etc. But, it's one thing for GM to use it as a product development tool, it's another for them to sell it to other agencies (including law enforcement and insurance) without your explicit consent. Only because no matter how you slice it, it's hard to take data, especially GPS data, and anonymize it. And I don't know if Redkow wants to weigh in as the resident pro-bono legal expert, but I have an suspicion that OnStar may be in for some litigation soon regarding this "always on two-way data connection". The way I see it, if you have an active data connection to my vehicle, regardless of my account status, you're taking some liability. I haven't read or researched the situation as thoroughly as usual, but picture this hypothetical situation: -Man steals my truck -I haven't paid for OnStar in over a year, but they are contacted and made aware the vehicle is stolen -Man leads police on chase -OnStar still has an active data connection to the vehicle, meaning they can track it, and/or are capable of immobilizing it for said chase -Man crashes into school bus -Did/Does OnStar have an obligation to immobilize the vehicle since they are maintaining an active data connection with the vehicle at all times regardless of my account status?
  7. Let the cat out of the bag... maybe the dealer has some leftover goodies the rest of us want too
  8. Thanks for making me late to work that morning
  9. Yes and no. There are stipulations put on the money for the countries that receive it, but there are loopholes there too. Suffice to say, it's still more effective when the government gives foreign aid than a charity because of said stipulations, but like welfare here, it's not 100% effective and fraud free.
  10. It's funny because you think a DeLorean has enough power to do a burnout.
  11. After perusing craigslist, I think there's a perfect next step bike for you that surpringly hasn't been mentioned yet (I don't think): Honda F4i - fuel injected, cheap and low maintenance, sporty but not superbike level so its comfy, and plenty of performance so it'll be a huge step up from the Buell at a level you wont outgrow for probably the rest of your riding years.
  12. Man...did he luck out driving a Volvo. Their propensity for building safe cars remains intact.
  13. Avoid the ZZR, they are Kawasaki's version of a Katana. Def. go for anything '02 and newer WITH fuel injection.
  14. OoooOOOoo You gonna bring me a chicken burrito with your famous roofie guacamole?
  15. You're worse than the women that come on here and only post when they need something. Trolling this is too easy, but I'll bump it for you just in case there is an electrician on here that needs some cash and wants to find out where the baller be named Ringo resides.
  16. Single-elimination ladder runoff to Suicide Point. First one to brake loses.
  17. I can't really say how people of your industry look upon business grads, but I have an MBA and an MIS degree on top of my electrical engineering undergrad. Guess which one was most important? The MBA and MIS are just extra fluff on the resume, I don't get to use either of them in my everyday work. At least where I work, the engineering degree is the critical degree (it's not like I got an instant pay raise for either of my Masters Degrees) - so it's on me to look for other opportunities if I really want to pursue something beyond the engineering path. Like you pointed out though, a lot of jobs are basically learned through on-the-job training and have little to do with your real degree. As long as your undergrad is in the 'ballpark' to get you in the door, you'll learn what you need to do (for the most part). But, I can offer this advice. If you want to further your education, you really should look for an employer that values self-development and will pay for your schooling. My undergrad was expensive, but both my Masters were paid for by the company, and I know this company has even put some people through undergrad school as well (though you'd have to be working here quite some time with an Associates or less before they'll pay for an undergrad). But, there are a lot of stipulations you agree to - like not leaving for 'x' years afterwards, maintaining a minimum GPA, etc. So, find a company that'll pay for your schooling if possible.
  18. Does this count as daily tactical training? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwZLUpQiolA Is this even safe? I guarantee you one day someone's gonna grab their 9mm instead of the plastic one... for the lulz AND GREAT JUSTICE!
