  1. Good choice of bike for a newbie. Probably fast enough to outrun most of the flamers in Lakewood anyway.
  2. FactChecking the Reagan Debate The Republican presidential candidates stray from the facts at the Reagan Library. http://factcheck.org/2011/09/factchecking-the-reagan-debate/

  4. I'm spending trackday money on vag rash cream. I only have enough for one or the other.... and the rash is rather large.
  5. I have a feeling the kids are exaggerating the situation with the father to try and deflect the fact that they were messing around without clothes on and it's all over the news.
  6. Rain or sub-50*F weather could stop me. I'll pencil in the 24th, but I may also be traveling for work that weekend. Don't keep the party from rocking because my ol' girly bike don't show - party on Doc.
  7. Wedding on the 17th, so I'm def. not going to make that date.
  8. This may be a dumb question, but why do you even need to salvage the cluster? If it's a trackbike, all you need is a new e-tach right? Those are cheap aren't they? Or, you can probably find another one at a bike boneyard for cheap?
  9. You assume a shootout isn't a desired scenario. Some people would beg to differ with that assumption. See how much fun that guy is having?
  10. Save this for later - ya know, just in case.
  11. This is gonna be a fun and bumpy ride. Pretty watered down though...there's a laundry list of exemptions that anyone with any knowledge at all could use to continue to game the system.
  12. Watch an amazing motorcyclist ride through an explosion http://jalopnik.com/5837444/watch-a-amazing-motorcyclist-ride-through-an-explosion [ame] [/ame]

    Sweet Deal!

Like no one on here has gotten drunk and sold their vehicles for more booze. So judgmental around here.
  14. For those with less than fully-faired bikes, there could be a lot of strange things going on when water gets up in the bike. SV owners love how the front tire sprays water right on the Cyl #1 spark plug boot when riding in the wet. Ask me how I know. It makes for bad times if it's not sealed properly.
  15. Damn, I could've used this about 2weeks ago.
  16. Everything I have is for sale, always, for the right price. Make offer.
  17. Comparable as in, expensive motorcycles? MV Agusta, Desmosedici RR, OCC Custom Chopper, MTT Y2K, Vintage Indians, Vintage Vincents... though putting 'vintage' in front of Vincent is kind of redundant (I'd say the same for Indian too, but Polaris is planning to come out with late model bikes with that branding here shortly)
  18. You seem to have a very myopic view of the "bigger unions" and what they do. And, I don't think you understand how strategic outsourcing decisions are made (Like, why are many of the Cadillacs still built in the US? Why are Camaro's built in Canada? If everything was so cheap in Mexico, they'd ALL be down there right?), and I don't think you realize what percentage "labor" really makes up on the production of a new automobile. Nor, do I think you understand the different subsidies the workers overseas and even in Mexico (I've visited a few maquliadoras) are provided by or mandated that company provide by the governments. Of course, I can only speak about the auto industry because it's near and dear to me, but I surmise the other "bigger unions" got where they are because of mutual agreements and collective bargaining in good faith between the "management" and the "laborers". Plus, it seems you've fallen into the trap that I see a lot of other non-"bigger union" people fall into, and that's bitterness. Bitterness of what the "bigger unions" have fought for in their respective industries that you didn't get a slice of when you were coming through your life path. Kinda funny we're talking about this on LABOR Day. I've never belonged to a union, but I do have the day off today - I dunno about you, but I tip my hat to the "bigger unions" for that. Jussayin'
  19. Then there's this... probably wise to wear gloves when you ride... so you don't expose your tendons. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=660_1315187405&p=1 But that video above reminds me that sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug. You're better off not being the bug.
