  1. Thanks guys. I like it a lot! I test drove a Chevy Cruze last night. I felt cramped in that. Then I looked at and sat in a Chevy Malibu. It felt so much better than the Cruze, but I wasn't really all that crazy about the style of the car. On my way to work this morning, I stopped at Ricart to check out the Ford Focus. I felt just about as cramped in that as I did in the Cruze. The guy then showed me the Fusion. When we started talking numbers, he told me that the incentives were $2500 off sticker OR 0% financing. My brother-in-law is really good friends with Rhett Ricart, so I happened to slip that in the conversation. Next thing you know the salesman's boss comes up to me and offers me the $4K off AND 0%. So I ended up getting the Fusion for less than the Cruze, Malibu, and Focus.

The tint is going to be installed when the Remote Start system arrives. (They have to order it). So now I'm trying to decided what percentage of tint to get. They said that I have to keep it legal. I know I can only go 50% on the front driver and passenger windows. What would you guys suggest I go with on the 3 rear windows? I don't want it too dark that I can't see out at night. Should I just put 50% on all to keep it even or go a bit darker on the rear 3? Maybe 35% on the rears? What are your thought?

  2. I traded in the CRX for this. 2012 Ford Fusion SE. Has pretty much everything except leather. Got $4,000 off sticker plus 0% for 60 months. I'm having a Ford Factory Remote Start installed and getting the windows tinted. It actually gets better highway mpg than the CRX did.

  3.

All I have seen online are ones that are made for recent built homes and won't work for my doors since the house was built in 73. The holes are in different spots. I think if I could figure out who made E/S hinges, I'd be able to find what I need.

  4. My house was built in '73. I am needing to replace some of the door hinges. The holes on the door hinges made today do not line up with my old hinges. The only thing stamped on the old hinges is "E/S". I am not having any luck finding what the E/S stands for. Does anyone know who made these or where I could find door hinges for older homes?
  5. I think it's one of the most annoying things seeing a dog or cat on someone's lap and the person driving can barely see over the animal.

That being said, I think the seatbelt law is a bit much, but I wouldn't mind it if people were ticketed for having an animal sitting in their lap while driving.

  6. Bruh, wagon fits the bill best IMO. I mean the towing thing is throwing people off. What out there can tow, and be sporty/fun, and practical?

    Wagons...no

    SUV....no

What about a Forester XT (turbo)? Or is it too SUV/Wagon like?

What sort of weight are you looking to tow? Like how big is this trailer?

This is why I've decided to go a different route. I will probably trade or sell my truck to get a sport luxury sedan of some sort. Then I will sell the CRX and buy a beater truck. That is my plan at this point.

  7. So I just found out that my identity was stolen and now I have collections companies calling me looking for payments that are not mine. Does anyone know where the first place to start is to get this corrected? I tried calling my bank and they were of little help.

This has happened to me a couple times. Did they steal a card number and just use that card? Did they open a new card using your info and then buy stuff?

  8. I'm really struggling about making a decision on a new vehicle. I have my truck because I occasionally need to haul things; drywall, gravel, mulch, etc. However, my truck sits in the garage 98% of the time (I bought it brand new November 2003 and it has 60k miles). It's paid off, but I'm struggling with the fact that I drive it maybe twice a month due to the shitty gas mileage (13 mpg).

For the gas saver, I have the CRX. The thing runs like a champ. I really have no complaints about it. However, life has changed, so it's time to upgrade to something with 4 doors, newer and safer.

I could afford to just go buy a newer 4-door car and sell the crx, but I'm a tight-ass, and don't want much, if any, car payment. If I get rid of the truck, I could put that money towards a newer car, but then I have nothing to haul things with when needed.

Ideally, what I would like is to just have 1 all-purpose vehicle that I would dd year-round. I would want something with 4 doors, sporty (fun to drive daily), mid-size, some luxury options, could tow a utility trailer, and gets upwards of 30 mpg.

Does such a beast exist? Help me figure something out, please.

    EDIT: No wagon or SUV.
