  1. Cool ! I've done pretty much that same ride a few times over the years. Little tickler from last year as we rode through Utah...
  2. I'll give ya a list of bunch of others you won't wanna miss, either if ya want.
  3. Shot this last year with my friend Neil. Riding Route 141 along the Utah / Colorado border.... Will be headed there again in July with ShittyGixer, Neil and another guy. Can't wait. Hope to shoot a ton of video this year and document the ride a bit better. Wish editing and uploading to YouTube wasn't such a pain in the ass. Our own Casper rode down this route with me a few years back - but he's probably forgotten that by now.
  4. Succinct, on point and accurate.
  5. Try some Rok-Straps :http://www.rokstraps.com/ Available everywhere and don't cost much either. Best thing about them is that they stay put and don't shift around on your luggage as they are flat - not round like bungees are. I've had a couple of sets for about 5 years and they're still good as new.
  6. Never had a problem riding there at night on the BMW... But it is weird stopping out there at night and listening to all of the creatures run around you. Spooky as shit.
  7. Ok - signs today made no mention of night time only. I could live with that.
  8. Dunno if this has been posted or not, but Eoute 28 will be closed just north of Fontana Village on June 2 for about 2 months to repair a bridge. No direct access to the Gap from Fontana. If you are trailering your bikes down from the north, make an alternate route as the detour is quite lengthy. I'm at the Gap now with my friends from The Gay Black Nazi Bikers for Christ ... Riding around on barren roads down here this week. Hope the trend continues.
  9. I'd expect traffic jams on I-70 West as hordes of horny 14 year old boys clog the road with U-Haul vans, moving to California.
  10. I have no EDM equipment or any way to make a sockethead cap like that. Sorry about that. Best I could do would a milled, flat screwdriver slot in the head of the bolt.
  11. Then you'd have one SAE bolt on a bike full of metric bolts. If you could live with a hex head cap, I 'd make you one.
  12. This is good to know - finally something other than HD's to rent in the Midwest. I have friends from the UK that come over 1-2 times per year and we always are looking for something for them to rent other than HD shitboxes.
  13. Must have been on it when it fell out of an airplane from 28,000'.
  14. He was going pretty fast when i passed him.
  15. Looks like I'll be there as well - but staying at a hotel in Alcoa. Will try to get down to where everyone else is staying and meet up for a ride one day.
  16. PM your email address to me and I'll send ya the full sized original.
  17. Some shots from the road. I think these are of the "Medium" group...
  18. I just wandered around at the Logan lot and snapped a few shots... Self Service Tee Shirt Dispenser... Everyone turned around as I snapped the pic...
  19. That was me on the BMW. Sorry I took a knife to a gun fight - I'll bring one of the Duc's on the next ride. The BMW just can't hang with sport bikes all that well. Nice hangin' with Inya though. We almost got taken out 6-7 times by crazy assed Logan car drivers on our way back. Freakin' amazing. I took a few pics and will post them on the pic thread. Eric
  20. Sorry about that, Joe - great meeting you and Mike, even if we did get lost for a bit. We had a rider go down early on the route so Inyazz (sp) and I stayed behind to help him out. After we got him taken care of and got back to Logan, it was a bit late so I took off for home. Headed to Athens and took a loop of town to see if it's still a shithole (it is) and then tokk 56 West to London, Ohio and then jumped on I-70 for the blast home. 722 miles later, I got home at 9:15 last night. Quick shower and out for Cinco De Mayo festivities at the local Mexican restaurant. Great to meet those that I had time to talk to - will do it again!
  21. Done. Do I get a refund if I run you off of the course while moto-escorting?
  22. I'll shoot for 0800 at the BP. Will PM my cell number to you - let me know yours and I'll text you where I'm at. If I won't be there in time, I'll let you know and you can go ahead without me. Eric
  23. That's because there aren't any:p
  24. I'm up for meeting at the I-71 /Route 35 truck stop. It'll take me close to 3 hours to get there, so let me know what time you guys can meet there. I'll plan on coming back home Saturday night via the same route. Eric email: EaracheMS @ Gmail.com
  25. My weekend plans have changed at the last minute and I plan on being there. Will roll outta Indy at 0600 and will see ya'll there. Stick me in any group you want, I'm comfortable riding in any or with the sweepers. Eric
