  1. Here's one of the BMW mounts I made... Shoots forwards and backwards fairly well and you can adjust it on the fly.
  2. No - I don't use the rear brake...ever. At least not for braking. But I don't think I used the brakes at all in that video - just rolled off the gas a bit to slow. The Ducati has a hollow rear axle and I made a mount to fit inside of that, with a RAM ball on the exterior. Then used a small RAM clip bar to hold the camera up so it didn't drag in the corners. I'll see if I can find a pic of it. I've made some other RAM ball mounts for my friends using the swingarm spool hole - very easy to do. On my tour bikes, I have about 5 RAM balls mounted to the bike so I can move the location around a bit - makes for easier to watch videos. Here's one mounted low on my Honda ST1100. Raw video with no music or editing, so it's kinda boring... http://vimeo.com/14828185 Vid from the handlebar mount on my BMW, I like the wide angle view it gives and you can flip the camera around to show the rider as well... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REvVFFyEW-U&list=UUt0jhIHySjzE3wjSnG9HzxA&index=3&feature=plcp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtYMskRcH3E&list=UUt0jhIHySjzE3wjSnG9HzxA&index=12&feature=plcp

I call bullshit - you don't even remember Saturday night.
  4. Not too excited about a chain on a touring bike , especially at that price. Needs a shaft. Saw it at the Indy Dealer Show - uglier than shit in person. I suppose the looks might grow on you though.
  5. I mounted mine in weird places all over the bike. One of my favorite's is the rear axle mount that I made... see: http://vimeo.com/11790090 The helmet view looking straight ahead gets boring fast to viewers.
  6. +1 fap fap fap fap fap

    Beer Pics

Remember that Cave Creek Pepper beer from years ago? Worst shit in the World. Don't think they make it anymore though.

I'm in. Did it last year and had a pretty good time, plus it's for a good cause.
  9. Brian - Your wife looks great! If anyone wants to start this on March 1, I'm in. Would love to try something like this once to see what it does. Eric
  10. I rock a Pioneer SX-3700, ( http://vintageelectronics.betamaxcollectors.com/pioneerstereoreceivermodelsx-3700.html ), which I bought new back in the late 70's or early 80's. Mated to a pair of RTR Towers. Also have a Sansui 100w tube amp - no preamp, tuner or anything, just power. Amazing how much I paid for this shit back in the day - today's shit is cheaper and specs are much better.
  11. How long since you lived there? The 'hood rats have infiltrated as far north as 82nd Street now - nothing is safe left outside and not locked up in that area now. STFO.
  12. Yea, I do it twice each year and only take a week for each trip. It's pretty easily done. We did Santa fe for Xmas last month - 5th year in a row -and also ride there every couple of summers. I know loads of good places to eat and some great roads - let me know if you're interested and I'll email them to you. Trailering to CO? Blasphemer!
  13. Hi Joe - ya need to come out west (Utah, Colorado) with us soemtime!
  14. But it's surrounded by shit - kinda in the 'hood. I'd be fearful of leaving my bike outside at night there.
  15. In. I've done some UP rides before and it's a good time. Ben -I'm with you; it'd be a an overnighter for me or a 3 day weekend ride. Could stop in Chicago on the way back and hang out there if ya want. Or, could do an around Lake Superior ride and hit Aerostich in Duluth (aside from suits, they have lots of cool shit in their store). Keep me posted.
  16. I wear an Icon Variant. Only had it a year but still like it. Big eye port, comfy, no lift from the visor. Only complaint is that the visor doesn't lock down into position. On the highway at higher speeds, it won't stay fully closed - it opens about 1/4" and just stays there. Not a huge bitch, just irritating if it's raining, etc.
  17. This was my eighth trip to the UK and I have, so far, spent exactly 1 afternoon in London. Pretty much saw all I wanted to.
  18. I rented out of manchester - exchange rate really sucked last May. I did ride teh Snake Pass twice this trip and have done it several times before. It ain't that great and had shitloads of traffic on it this time. Spent most of the week in the North Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Rained everyday (go figure, eh?). edit: checked Hunt's website -ST is 80 pounds ($123) per day right now, it's quite a bit cheaper with a favorable exchange rate.
  19. Agreed. Eastern Europe os a great place to tour right now as their prices are still pretty low as compared to western Europe. It won't last long though once they figure it out and the demand rises. Lots of scammers there though - would need to maake sure this guy is on the level before sending any reservation cash.
  20. If he's legit, his prices are pretty good! GS1200 for 100 Euro a day = $125 oer day with no mileage restrictions. I paid nearly $200 per day for a ST1300 in England last year and scenery wasn't nearly as good.
  21. Yowzer Schnauzer -that litttle bugger is like $350. Puts out a shit load of light though.
  22. C'mon, give him a break. Probably didn't know hat the rules were. Always good to know about places like this for those that may want to travel there - could be a good guy to know. Sorin - not a good idea to advertise in your first post as it pisses people off. Hope you come back and enlighten us about riding in Romania. I'd love to ride there.
  23. Okay, now I'm completely weirded out.
  24. They didn't bother me, but the road isn't in all that great of shape and sucks for going balls out on. Lots of cops around Tazewell as well. Couple of pics from 16; Sportbike guys were hatin' this stretch due to all of the shit in the road...
  25. Ya think so? I thought it sucked balls - the road surface is all jacked up, loads of gravel and sand all over the place in corners, pot holes etc that have been patched - just didn't really care for it at all. Might be okay for cruisers or big tourers, but not all that much fun to try to go fast on . Was last there in July of 2011 - maybe they've worked on it a lot since then.:dunno:
