  1. 26 and 260 were both really good new pavement. I wish I would have made some video out there too. I do have some video from later in the evening. I'll have to go threw it and see if I got any good rodes. I ended up with probably 45 minutes of I-70 at the end of it.
  2. I was actually getting held up on cherry bottom road. On the way into gahanna and later on the way out.
  3. Haha, I can't imagine how boring a video of my air cooled ducati trying to go around that road would be........and he's going 135......... and he's still going 135.........ewwww look at that his oil temp is pretty high.
  4. Well stated, I totally agree. 555 is fun for all of those reasons. As long as you aren't one of those people that thinks the street is their own personal race track you should get through it fine. I just try and ride the corners and lug the straights and have fun. It certainly is a challenging road. There are many of those down in that area though. I think since I have the camera I may try and make some more videos of the roads near Columbus. Although I don't disagree there are arguably better roads in KY, WV and other parts of OH it's nice to know what roads are near Columbus, since that is where I live. Anyway, I'll try and post some more vids of 26, 78, 541 and others as I get time and get on more rides with the camera. If nothing else it's kinda cool to see what everyone is talking about.
  5. I've read that on some forums. One day when I have kids this knowledge might come in handy. I took it on a ride to Gahanna today. GPSed it at 42/43 on the flats. It's not bad off the line, falls on it's face from about 20mph to 30mph, need to even drop to 3/4 throttle then at about 30mph it gets on the pipe and pulls pretty good to 40ish mph. I think I might have it jetted a little rich but am nervous about leaning it out. Actually got it up to 45mph today and it would pull up hills at 40mph assuming you had already gotten to that speed on the flats. This thing is so fun.
  6. Woh dude, chill out. I don't think it's like the dragon either but everyone says that. I just figured I'd post some videos for comparison. I like 555, personally I think the roads get better when you get into WV though.
  7. LOL, I was in a special mood when I edited the videos. By special I might mean drunk.
  8. Not sure yet, I didn't run it all the way out last night. I'm thinking mid to low 40s. A guy on the forums had one with this kit doing 50. You can laugh all you want, this bike is fun as shit.
  9. The yamahopper is back. A month or so ago I burnt the piston on the yamahopper. Likely due to a lack of fuel. Anyway I picked up this malossi 65cc kit. The kit is actually made for a yamaha Sting which is a bike only availabe in Europe. Getting it to fit required a little grinding. It's pretty bad assed. I lifted these pics off another guy on the scooter forums. This is what the new top end parts look like. The list of ridiculous shit I've done to this scooter is getting to look like a bike you'd buy on the WERA forum. Malossi 65cc Cylinder (7 ports compared to 3 on the old cylinder) Malossi high comp single ring piston (it's domed) Puch 45mm diameter High comp head Boyesen dual stage reeds PW50 rear differential (taller gearing) BMX foot pegs Biturbo expansion chamber exhaust Bumped main jet to a 90 from a 70 2.5 inch tires front and rear (from 2.0 front and 2.25 rear, Had to modify front fender to fit) replacement seat cover I got it running this weekend and it seems to pull really well once it hits the pipe. I haven't revved it out as far as it'll go yet. I'm still taking spark plug readings and trying to be careful not to burn it up. Anyway, here are the pics. Here is the puch head I used with this kit Here is the old piston The old cylinder The old Head Here is the new top end installed. I had to bump up to a 90 jet in the carb and am running a K&N filter I'm running a PW50 differential, it has taller gearing because the PW50 has 10inch wheels compared the QT50s 14" wheels funny thing, the PW50 has a longer axle so I had to use a bunch of washers to get the wheel to tightly bolt on. Here is the stock differential Here is the biturbo exhaust I was bored while I was waiting for some stuff to come in the mail so I removed a lot of the packing material from the silencer. It's really loud now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1S-Q3ObFQU
  10. the monster lost it's reverse chicken strips down there last week. reverse chicken strip; the blistered up part of the tire left over from the last time you were at the track or tail of dragon.
  11. It was really good last week. Then we got on 676 which was decent for the first 10 miles then race track smooth for the last 10 miles. Mmmmmm.
  12. Haha, true, I got a camera bag stuck in my wheel and my tire still has a groove in it and my 35mm F2 lens was completely ruined among other small things. 555 was pretty clean last week but I agree it is hit or miss in terms of gravel. Just bustin your balls a little. Get to the track already you fag!!!!
  13. That is because you are dumb. I've ridden with you before. Seriously, just sayin.....
  14. true, the wide angle lens is deceiving though. I assure you I could see I had room in those instances. None the less, I was really tired by middle of part 2. I'm pretty huge. I try to stay on my side of the road. You'll note that at the end of part2/beginning of part3 I had to pass some harleys and there was no way to get around other than over the center line in corners. I'm a criminal I know.
  15. Some say that this is Ohio's equivalent to the tail of the dragon (US129 on the border or TN and NC) *I am not sure if that is true but I can assure you that my knees hurt at the end of this 30 minutes of video and we had more to go after that. *555 continued on after this, followed by 676 into Marietta and then we hit up 26 and 260 on the way home all of which were fantastic SE Ohio roads. *Although I love the Appalachian valleys, there truly is nothing like SE Ohio. * Anyway, enjoy the footage of me elegantly lugging my air cooled Ducati out of corners at less than 3k rpm at times. *Leisurely enjoying the corners. * *Seriously, the bike was made for this, while superbikes work their asses off to carry speed in these corners, this bike, with it's straight bars and silly torque over light weight body and motor destroys these roads. *The only weak point is me, who can barely carry my giant gurth over the foot pegs as I have to hang off the bike in these corners going about 35mph. * and for the critics.... yes I blew a few corners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m_3KRkSfnc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BagIQpIUtI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey992fRHTv8
  16. The Xbow and atom are sweet but I have a feeling this thing weighing in at 660lbs would just be on another planet. Plus, the xbow and atom are burdened with having to be street legal, which adds a lot of weight that does not help the car go faster. Doesn't the xbow have the VW 2.0T in it? I only think that's cool cause I have a GTI with the same motor. I always loved the ariel atom top gear review.

  18. both are going to continue to go to the same place right?
  19. Can we get some pics from past events so we know what to expect?
  20. I have to agree. They are pretty fun.
  21. I think we could probably get a cname for that if casper wants to spring for the domain name.
  22. .com because it's easier for people to remember that are not very internet savy.
  23. I bet that ducati motor makes it sound cool too. Wonder what kind of exhaust they fabbed up.
