  1. I know everyone likes to pick on the junkies for stunting but I have to agree with him. I'm glad the first time I experienced a wheelie wasn't cresiting a hill on a country road down in hocking hills. However once you know what to expect it's kinda fun. I'm no where near being a stunter but I have wheelied and stoppied a bike before just from day to day sport bike riding. The bikes have a ton of power in the motor and brakes it's something that is hard to understand with out experiencing it.
  2. Steven had a front and rear camera mounted that day so I put the video together so you can watch front and rear at the same time. It's especially cool when he passes someone or gets passed. Part1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIUREIdZHHw Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gg3boKhBuDo Give it a bit to process and it should be availbe in 1080i THey just uploaded.
  3. Alter High School has a track, so does Oakwood, Fairmont, and Centerville. Bellbrook has one and also has a nice woods course. The Kettering Rec Center has an indoor track and so does that urban active near by. Grant Park is also a nice place to Run/walk

    Ducati?

That picture is confusing as hell. I see the aprilia parts but what bike is that trellis frame from. KTM?
  5. They were probably on their way home from Mid OH. There was a Monday/Tuesday track day up there and there is always a decent number of them their as a few of them are control riders for Mid-OH
  6. We had some extra cameras so we put one forward facing and one rear facing on steven's bike. Last night reviewing it we synced a session up with both videos running at the same time and you could watch people get passed from front to back or vise versa, it was really cool. I just need to figure out how to edit it together now. Having said that, yes it will probably take me a bit to get it all sorted and uploaded.
  7. What truck do you drive that weights 3000lbs?
  8. A group was faster than usual. There were a ton of racers. As long as it doesn't hurt your ego it's not bad. They are so good it's like they aren't even on the track. They just pass and move on. I've got a lot to work on still. I'm gonna go back to the MAX LED saturday. The weather is looking awesome.
  9. Bump, it's a clean, not abused bike.
  10. I'll be there both days. Already took the days off work and the way the thunderstorms have been lately I think Monday might be OK. Guess we'll see.
  11. Is there some petition we can sign to try and reverse this? This is kind of interesting. A hole bunch of manufactures recommend or prohibit the use of E10. Apparently Ducati says not to use it at all http://www.fuel-testers.com/manufacturer_fuel_recommendations_ethanol_e10.html
  12. How is it pumped into the trucks that deliver it. Where is it mixed? That might shed some light on why it's not available anywhere anymore. Good work reconrat on actually answering the question BTW.
  13. Right so if your ratio contains more air then you are taking more energy from the air (essentially free fuel via oxygen) and vise versa. Is that logic incorrect. I follow what you mean about the ratio and amount of fuel required based on the air fuel ratio BTW.
  14. It's one of those things that makes me wonder what other applications are getting messed up by the different properties of this fuel. I have heard particularly that older cars, classics, and such have some real issues with the ethanol content as well. I suppose it's just a pain of the game but what is really annoying is that you can't find a place to buy the pure stuff if you need to. At the very least inform the customers what they are buying so they can decide if they want to support it or not or even if they want to prevent some defect the ethanol is causing. I'm not going to get on a soap box and say to stop making it, I'm just saying make the information available so consumers can make a choice. I have been putting off replacing my tank because I'm certain it'll just happen again unless I pony up and find a metal gas tank.
  15. Oh, so it's not a measure of energy in the fuel but a measure of how much energy the fuel takes from the air. Either way probably producing more energy as an end result.
  16. I don't have a problem with the fuel but IMO the politics and reasoning behind pushing it in America are not the best. Having said that I'm not an expert and don't want to get in a pissing match about that. It's just my opinion based on what I know. My real problem with it is that it's causing issues with plastic fuel tanks on several ducati models. Specifically the sport classic and the monsters. I realize this is as much something ducati should have engineered for as it is a fault of ethanol it's self. Bottom line for me is it's annoying. at least ducati is willing to replace my gas tank. This is a relevant thread to my problem. http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=25074.0
  17. Isn't diesel still ethanol free. That and the energy content of diesel is huge. Not that that helps Rich at all. Just sayin. what is the stoich of diesel and what does that stand for.
  18. Short of buying race fuel I think you are SOL. If you do find a source let me know though. the Ethanol is causing my Ducati's plastic tank to swell.
  19. I think it infers that the seller is a Jew not the buyer.

    WTB: Knee pucks

What a strange request. Who sells knee pucks used? FWIW, I got a set of these after my teknic pucks wore out. I really like these and they seem to wear slower. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=509
  21. Dude it got smoted. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20100615/NEWS01/306150004/Jesus-statue-destroyed-by-act-of-God
  22. Really, I mean, Really!!! you bought a 1000RR. I hate you.
  23. Yah agreed, except 1st isn't that tall for me. 2nd to 3rd was about it on the gap for me. 3rd to 4th for the skyway.
  24. No, I'd recommend finding a place to stay to the south of the Dragon. If you stay just to the north of it as we did you have to ride all the way around to get to it. It's open but the rock slide up on the North side is still being cleaned up. Actually I believe they are working on making the rock wall safe to drive near. Either way it's just past the Tail of the dragon but right before US129 intersects the foothills parkway. So anyway, plan accordingly.
