  1. Yah I enjoyed riding behind him cause he'd run good corner speed but since his bike was only 58hp it would limit the straight line speed so in many cases I could just stay in 1 gear. I'm not really into going 120+ down all the straights on the street so it worked out to a perfect pace. I'd really like to get a light weight single cylinder supermoto bike. They look fun as hell. Although the ducati is really fun too, lug it down to 3k rpm, rev it up to 8k, lug it at 3k again. It doesn't care.
  2. What were you riding. I don't remember seeing the 690 up anyone's ass, at least not for long. I was generally behind him.
  3. OMG, don't bring that GLWS thread over here. I'll have 50 pages of nothing to sort though.
  4. From what I hear he's doing OK. Banged up his knee though.
  5. I was up at Deals gap with some friends about a month ago. I finally got around to uploading some photos and videos. Enjoy..... Here we are on US129 before the gap.... those of you here were there remember my severe luggage failure. I cut the video before that. I guess I was going a little fast for the bungees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBbw-3QvxXM The next 3 are some videos into the gap (tail of the dragon) and back out. In other words North, North, then South but I didn't finish the South videos all the way back to the deals gap resort cause rain starts towards the end and it's pretty boring slow riding. I really enjoy the duc because I don't have to shift for the most part. I think I sort of exadurated this a little though by staying in 2nd for almost the whole thing. But hey, it's not a race track That road is really fun. Look for a nice whoolie at the beginning of part 3 and I think a few of the Coshocton guys having an off track experience a few minutes in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq4c9vP3nqo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYvY3Gxx-t8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ccoa0_XNxcc OK, now for the pictures. I'll put some explanations through out. pat's awesome bus. We rode down in this thing. Total luxury ride. Played PS3 most of the way down while laying on a couch here is a scenic air hump session. I dunno. Shortly after that we rolled up on the Coshocton guys. Apparently a guy on a Kawi Concourse went left of center spooked Seth on his CBR who was hauling ass and he locked the front wheel and they collided. Anyway, Cops came and Seth was hauled off in an ambulance. This was on the cherohala skyway on the way down to US129. You can see Seth's skidmark from his front wheel on this one. Leading up to the big wet spot from all of the coolant and oil that was dumped from the bike's that colided. I hate to see this. Damaged Kawi just to the left of the picture above. One of Seth's Forks and some random exploded CBR debris. Seth is way over there I'm standing in front of the coolant on this one. Apparently he went airborne to the grass and then tumbled all the way to that wall. He's lucky to be alive. Back up a little and you can see where it looks like Seth's knee's hit the grass. Ouch!!! super totaled He's OK!!! So, funny thing. The turn Seth crashed on was a pull off spot, that some fund raising group had set up at to sell North Carolina Style BBQ. Well that worked out well cause fat boy needs to eat. Did someone invite Keanu Reeves? So on the way to the Gap I had a bit of a luggage problem. My camera bag got stuck in my rear wheel. Yes I ruined a 35mm F2.0 lens and a lost some other small stuff. What a pain in the ass. Anyway, I donated the destroyed Camera bag to the tree of shame and Pat and John helped me Duc tape the rest of my stuff to my bike. So here I am at the tree of shame with my destroyed Camera Bag Here I am on the gap with my improvised duct tape luggage. Yep, Seth may not have made it to the Gap, but his windshield did. So on the way home we got rained on. A lot. By the time we were about 45 minutes from where we were staying Pat's R1 decided the battery was done. We all stood around and watched for awhile while him and John tried to fix it. Eventually, we realized we were unable to fix the problem. So we decided we'd head back. The coshocton guys decided to leave while I was still putting my helmet on which was more or less the way they rode all day. Not like I had any idea where I was going but why bother waiting on the whole group, it's a race right? but I still made it back in the pooring rain after John caught up to me. We left Pat at the gas station for about 2.5 hours while we went and got the bus to come pick him up. He proceeded to buy an underage kid some booze and drink with him for awhile until we got there. Apparently the area was dry but still sold Beer and supplied cups for said beer but said to hide it. I love the country. I'll tell you what. There was a lot of mishap. I had never met the coshocton people in my life and I really hate to see two bikes get in an accident together but I had a hell of a lot of fun riding down there even in spite of damaging some of my gear and getting rained on a hell of a lot. Hope you enjoyed the pictures and videos.
  6. I assume its a 50cc 2 stroke zuma?
  7. is it street legal? I suppose it would qualify but again you'd have to go slow and maybe let me ride it a little
  8. All I have to do is where my shoei helmet to make my gear worth more than the bike. but I'd entertain the idea of full leathers and all.
  9. So does anyone other than me have a street legal bike like this. A Yamaha Zuma or Honda Ruckus counts. Although you'd be the relative hot rod of the group. I know 2 other people that could ride with me that aren't on the forum but this would be super fun with a big group. Ride around like we own the streets, WOT everywhere. Actually what would be real fun is to do a group ride to a big bike night like QSL or the monthly Euro bike night or the one down at Gaswerks. If I have to extend it to 125cc I will but the guys on the bigger scooters are gonna have to take it easy to keep the group together. 45-50mph and you'd leave me in the dust.
  10. I am not sure how many people out there would qualify. I have a few buddies with street legal pit bikes and thought it would be fun to do a group ride. I rode my yamahopper over to Easton yesterday and while riding down Morse road holding up traffic I was thinking to myself, man this would be way more fun with a bunch of people on bikes that topped out around 30mph. If I set a date and a meeting point how many people would be interested or even own a bike that qualifies?
  11. I think it's different than the "I want to ride some twisties" sort of ride. More touring on a bike. Which is kinda cool as well but totally different and can only really be enjoyed on a bike like Ben's or dare I say some sort of Harley or Goldwing.
  12. I love how people still take Brandon seriously.
  13. No no no, I want them in this thread so all the shit talkers can have an easily recognizable face with out any additional work. There is a psychological aspect to this. It's the tough behind a keyboard and shy in person thing. I just want them to be closer together. Sometimes we need an identity. Plus it's very telling to see what a person looks like. I don't want to scroll through the entire OR picture thread for this. Now if you wanted to scroll threw it for me and post pics of most of the people in this thread in the thread that would work.
  14. Can we get some pictures of everyone involved so I know who you are when I see you in person somewhere. here is one of me and my fiancé and a bunch of raw chicken.
  15. Oh, I've read most of that thread already. Which posts are you saying are drunk posts?
  16. I ride a 750 at the track and regularly get my ass handed to me by some dudes on SV650s.
  17. I've got a scanner but they are right a cell pic would work too.
  18. At least it would be taking place in a controlled venue. I don't know about you but if they both showed up at a WERA sanctioned event and went at it with an extra $500 on the line I'd watch.
  19. Yah, all this talk about being in the fast group or slow group on the street is stupid. Also, all this talk about 1k handling better than a busa and a 750 handling better than all of them is also stupid. At our level, maybe minus a handful of guys that are on these forums it's all about the rider on any of those bikes. I've seen busa's at the track and although they may be pigs compared to a 750 they would still turn faster lap times based on the rider, unless we are talking about 2 equal guys with race licences. Point is, if you are fast in Kentucky on the back roads you still aren't fast and you're an idiot. If you are fast and have some trophies to prove it then maybe you're fast. Having a handling competition on the street is putting a lot more at risk than your pink slips. These pissing contests are getting old.
  20. it says OBO. Make an offer. Maybe yours will be the best offer.
  21. The bike looks rough I'll admit that. I also don't know what a good price is for these bikes but I imagine $3k is pretty cheap, especially if it has a streetable title. As far as the forks go. The forks on the bike bike I bought from Brandon were not stripped or bent the preload adjuster had been spun off the top of the threads and had to be put back on while apart, nothing was actually broken. The forks had been previously lengthened though which threw me for a loop setting the bike's geometry and preload up. In Brandon's defense they weren't the forks he was running on the bike previously and I knew this. Further, if you are a potential buyer of what looks like a beat down bike at a much lower than normal price for said bike I'd advise you ask a lot of questions, be aware of what you are getting into and be sure you look it over afterwards no matter what the guy says. Fact is, you get what you pay for and there are very few true deals out there. So you pay a little less you get a rough looking bike that might need all of it's bolts checked or some work in other areas. You pay more and you get a garage queen bike that is very clean and needs no work. You'd be an idiot to buy this bike, take him at his word and just go ride it at speed with out looking it over. In the end, the details about a bike that are important to some people just aren't to others. I think anyone who has been to the track with the assfaultjunkie guy's knows that they don't mind rocking some pretty ratty looking bikes. That is their prerogative, again, consider that when buying from them. The dude is just trying to sell a bike and although a lot of his bikes tend to be ratty, who cares, take it for what it's worth and move on. No reason to flame the FS thread. I don't get the feeling he is trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Every one of you has the right to go down there and look at it in person before handing over some cash. It's not like he's gonna pull the bait and switch on you. FWIW I did take the initial response about the "few flaws" as a little hostile and I'm not one of his "junkyard dogs" If you are interested in the bike call him up and ask questions. He was pretty up front with me and in the end even if I did find a few extra flaws with the bike I bought from him, what else could I expect buying a bike at such a cheap price. Different people are more meticulous than others when prepping a bike for use or sale. Take that into consideration when doing your cost/benefit analysis on whether or not the bike's value is what you think it is. If you come up with a lower value than he is asking shoot him a lower offer. I'd be willing to bet his initial price was high to gauge interest. Mine would be. There isn't exactly a suggested retail price in a book for a ratty 2004 750. Anyway, I just don't understand how this forum is so dramatic even in a FS thread. After getting to know Brandon a little seeing him at track days he really is a good guy even if he sells some beat up bikes so cut him some slack. ........end of rant. For anyone interested in more details regarding the 2003 GSXR track bike I bought from Brandon you can look at this thread I put up quite awhile ago. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=22544 I (with the help of some knowledgeable friends) did a lot of work fixing it up, but considering the sum of the value of all of the parts that came on this track bike I still think it was a pretty reasonable price at $2500.
  22. Just find a place to the south to stay and the north side not being open won't be so bad.
  23. so how many times exactly have you banged Jonni since she started dating Todd?
