  1. I am running the 003RS on my track bike and they are very nice! Quick heat and rather sticky.
  2. I am booked for Friday! Happy Birfday to me on Friday! WOOT!
  3. Congrats!! And if/when you come out, I can, um, return the drilling jig that, um, I borrowed from you for r1crusher a year or so ago.
  4. Friday is the only day I can run. So I will be there providing the weather holds out, which it looks like it will.
  5. Chris is a good dude! Took care of a few little items for me for the new bike scheme.
  6. Do you happen to know the HTML color code for neon ginger? I think I would like to change my blog site to that.
  7. There is just more to love with our Kevy-poo. No, I do think he said the dude that had the bike before him was some sasquatch-esque missing link type that was too big for a 6.
  8. "...when someone clearly too heavy for the suspension rode it..." That, my friends, is as personal a shot as they come. Kev, perhaps you are now justified for safety wiring Jinu's thumb to the bike key.
  9. I raffed out roud at the legacy thread boosting. Let the man live!!!
  10. My $.02...my first time there was last year after years of doing track days sporadically. After the first session, which I was tiptoeing through, I turned to r1crusher and said "I would rather be at work." After hearing myself utter those ridiculous words, I went out the next session and went faster. Then the next session, then the next. Like Nathan said, the faster you go, the better it (and all tracks IMHO) is. It is not pristine by any stretch of the imagination. But it also has some really fun spots that you can get over, get a knee down, and wrench the grip. And this is coming from one of the slower kids in the group! Take my advice after my having talked shit on a track I had been to but never ridden. Go. It's still the track, and it will be fun. As blue06who69'sr1crusher said, it's not Mid OH. Not a lot of places are.
  11. I think jbot should change his name to Howard Bailey, Jr.
  12. Goddamn sequester fucking with my track prices! That's it! I am digging up Regan!
  13. Last year, Nelson track days were $135 for days before the late reg fee kicked it, $165 for PIRC. And there was a 50% discount at Nelsons, IIRC if you raced on Sunday, less than that at PIRC. I would have to dig in more to some old registrations for more firm numbers.
  14. "Why can't we pick our own colors? "I tried that before. You end up with four guys all fighting over who gets to be Mr. Black."
  15. Thanks gang. I have a few racer poser stickers from Drippin' Wet that need to go on once the paint cures a little more. And soon, my yellow noobie number plates once I pass school!
  16. Go easy on Murse. Take your frustrations out on one of the two gingers. OH...joined the blue bike club today. Thanks much to my boy r1crusher for the hookup!

    laptops

Kinda like has been already said, you want as big of a screen for photo work as you can accommodate. And at least 8 GB RAM, if not more. i5 proc if you go Intel. As far as manufacturers go, my $.02 would be to avoid HP at all costs. The other guys here have had issues with Dell, however I have not both with personal and professional experience. Same with Lenovo, as they have seemed to make a dependable and durable machine. If you can swing it, and plan to store the majority of your images externally, buck up for an SSD. It will drive your price up, but will significantly help with your machine's performance. Acer has some nice stuff, and while Asus makes some nice internal hardware, I have seen a rather disproportionate amount of their laptops fail to the rest of their products.
