  1. Good luck with that, and finding a newspaper that prints unbiased information. Politicians look for endorsements from newspapers who in turn stump for them. I agree that a lot of the general public sits back and let's their political views be dictated to them by the media (whom always have an angle or axe to grind) but finding clear, concise, and straight forward information is easier said than done, especially with as much stumping and advertising done to muddy the waters and skew the facts. Even the heartiest of those who work to educate themselves on the issues find its a full-time job that requires OT.
  2. The ex-Mrs. RVT was an avid rider, and would at times do 200 miles a day with me. The next ex-Mrs. RVT will be required to at least encourage my habit, if not chose to engage in it with me.
  3. Sweet! Kinda cool that they decided to do that.
  4. I loves me some Matt, but that's just goddamn funny! Thanks for making me spit half chewed Cheezits on my monitor, dick.
  5. When coyotes are running around in your backyard, it's semantics.
  6. Sad to hear. Though the name is not familiar, I know plenty of people from his area. I am sure that one of my friends that rides from that part of the state must have known him. It's a pretty small community of riders out that way. Condolences to the family.
  7. Though I have only two track days on my RC, IMHO it does well at the shorter tracks like GingerMan if you want to stay within the reach of the 1k inlines. It's just as much of a handful to 'flick' (if you want to say that you are flicking around an RC) as it is on the twisties, but it is a really fun bike on thosetypes of tracks. At Mid Ohio, the long straights show its weaknesses well, though its low end torque was handy in the esses. And cost is what is keeping me from making it a track-only machine right now, as being that niche bike, the replacement parts are not quite so easy to find, and what is found can be expensive. Still, I am a proud RC owner and love mine. I like the fact that not everyone has or even likes one, for that matter.
  8. You two and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
  9. There will be no gooch punching or taint rubs in this thread. SImply the desires of us all to see this stupid cunt ground into bacteria fodder against a prison shower wall.
  10. At her sentencing, they should remove her vag and uterus with a bread knife and a set of needle nose pliers. Oh, and sans anesthesia.
  11. ^ +1 I love my RC but there is no way I'd tour on it. Don's right in that it loves the backroads and twisties, though be prepared for a workout if you are flinging it left and right all day. For touring and 2 up riding I'll be looking for a Viffer next year, but for fun, the RC is a nice ride.
  12. And once again the old stand-bys jinu and IP save an otherwise fail filled thread from the OP. Oh, and Brian, are ya gonna eat that pretzel bit? I's hungry and would like a nibble of your snot encrusted Aunt Annie's nasal projectile.
  13. I smoke 2 joints in the morning, I smoke 2 more at night. I smoke 2 joints in the afternoon...it makes me feel alright. Actually I don't smoke anymore, but I just like that song.
  14. QFT. A Katana traded for a TLR is like a Chevette traded for Camaro, so long as neither are BTS. The TL sounds otherwise, and though Kats aren't mondo performance machines, I'd not sweeten the deal with a $1k PS3 system for a bike that's been down and, um, no longer in production.

  16. It's an uncomfortable situation you are in, to say they least. JRMMiii was correct in saying that you should contact GA. They have probably seen and heard 1,000 times over the things you are encountering and will have excellent advice as to how to manage things from your POV. I wish you luck, amigo. It's a very difficult thing in dealing with a family member or friend going though a problem with addiction, regardless of the vice.
  17. Yup yup. Another thing is when they have to work in trips to the horse track or corner store right after going to the bank, its an issue. A close member of my family is getting divorced from a woman who has a horrible gambling addiction (to the tune of $3-5k lost a month) and is now living in section 8 housing. Her entire budget is contingent on her success at the track, and spends countless dollars trying to find the tips to hit it big on the ponys. It's almost sad (were it not for the fact she's a POS). But its like anything else. They aren't going to change until something they do to themselves makes them change. Good luck with this. I know it's not an easy thing to deal with.
  18. If the tons of illegals peddling bags of oranges on the 405 in O.C. could find a way to UAE, they would make a mint selling their wares to the tons of angry husbands over there.
  19. I dunno. Its a high school, not a dance club. I'm not usually big on cutailing how one has their fun, but I shouldn't be able to walk into a high school auditorium and think I walked into a club on W.6th St. It's just like anything else. How is it enforced, and who gets made an example of.
