  1. How in the world do you know where we rode after you left Nate? :dunno:

It's VERY CLOSE, but not quite right.;)

because i knew you guys where going back across 71 and i just picked the best roads that meandered throw morrow, lebanon, and blanchester.

  2. Definitely great meeting you all. What a fun ride. Got to dodge a dog and test my brakes.

Love it so far. Still getting used to the difference in moving up to liter bike, but it's amazing. Keeping up with that zx-14 and zx-10r is a tad easier now. :D

...and the little red 600 that kept up with you guys too :D

and yea sorry for bailing early on you guys, next time when i dont have afternoon activities it will be all good! who was the one on the monster 1000 ninja (i need to talk to you about trackdays!--PM me) let me tell ya though my confidence was pretty low after a few close calls in cbus but riding with you guys im back up to where i was before and then some what an amazing ride i had!!

and i will vouch for amazing roads in hocking i have ridden down through there many a times on the way to OU

  3. taken down if you want it PM me

here is what i got as far as i remember. after "E" i have no idea since i got onto the highway from there (sorry guys and gals i had to get going)

anyways we need to do that again. what are some weekends that work for people? its pretty much going to be sundays only for me from here on out and those that have to work weekends is there anyway you can call off a day or call in "sick..."

throw out some dates people and we can go from there.

  4. SOFTBALL!! :supergay: Are you sure you're a biker? ;):pFinish whenever you want to finish. I know I'd like to make a stop halfway through which will kill some time to bullshit with eachother to get to know one another.

Man, you ask a lot of questions you know that?;):p

You can see the route tomorrow when you ride.:bitchfight::cool:

haha yea softball. its sorta the only way to hang with my hs friends again and have a little fun at the same time --its more or less the baseball team from high school and since their aren't any bball without it being competitive for old college guys like us, its a good alternative.

plus dude don't you know...? thats were all the hot chicks are!

why do you say i ask i lot of questions? do i really ask a lot of questions? i can be a curious guy can't i? what do you mean by that? you know im just kidding dont you?

see you guys at 10! ill be the apparent softball player on the red bike :supergay:

and what a second... i thought you were the one against "hanging out" i wanna ride! :moo::lol:

(there are a lot of smiley's in my post)

  5. dang dude i didn't know it was going to be til 2!?!? in that case i might have to ditch early as well. (i got softball in the early afternoon)

i thought it was going to be to done by 1 130ish. any way we can alter the ride?

i guess we could just drive faster  jk

what is the planned route if you don't mind me asking nick?

  6. true that nick i imagine it will take at least an hour in the a/c before i will be able to peel the leathers off my skin

and that will be WITH under armour

every one still down for 10am meeting time at the dairy mart/gas station on 35?

o and people! : make sure you check your bike over the night before!! at least chain and tire pressures. also make sure to get a good breakfast in and drink lots of water please!

and careful on the booze the night before i would rather ride with someone who's head is in the right place and not stuck on a hangover when im riding with them...just a thought to keep in mind guys and girls

  7. im pretty sure if i somehow come across 60-70k i would buy a trex. that thing just looks awesome and would be well worth the money.

0-60 times comparable to motorcycles and 500-1000k supercars. i think its a win win!

and yea nick the smart car is still "ok." the thing that got me the most was the engineering aspect of being able to put a busa engine in a car like that.

sorry im a nerd what can ya say? lol

  8. sorry for jacking your thread nate.

but i think i am going to be signing up for the pro practice, and we will see how it goes. i will hopefully be able to get tips on the things i have questions about running with the advanced guys.

haha yea for realz dude j/k

so no one has any plans to go in the novice group late july or early august then?

  9. i have found myself looking at the road 10 feet in front of me rather than looking through the turn every once in a while. and everytime i do i always run wide or swerve through the turn due to on/off gas.

i think its cuz i have had some close calls with gravel and asphalt snakes and am watching out for those more than looking through the turn. but its something i plan to continue to work on...especially tomorrow morning :)

Got part II in 2006. Read it 5x. ;) Everyone should read it.

thats a big +1 on that! not so much part 1 as that is geared towards the early early sportbikes whereas part 2 is more for our generation. although both are good reads for sure.

i have something special related to Twist of the Wrist 2 if anyone wants to PM me to find out. (its something id rather not advertise on public forum)

  10. so who is going to be at mid ohio on that date? where do you guys like to stay at near the track? i know there are a few hotels right off 71 at exit 165, anything else though? anyone got any tips or advice for my first trackday?

also--if you are going and are from dayton or columbus and have an extra seat in your vehicle and spot on your trailer could you please let me know!

  11. how are you getting your suspension dialed in without being at a track? i never know what to feel when i mess with suspension.

the only i have right (i think) is my sag. as far as rebound and dampning dials i have no idea

although i haven't messed with it too much yet.

  12. saw a bike like that in person at the bos broz bike show at mid ohio. it was a different color and not so alien like, the speakers were a little more well placed.

that think kicked like you are sitting next to a tricked out suburban at a stop light.

  13. or safety wire it...

and my impression of the ek thing was that it only worked on certain types of chains?

    sub topic case closed lol

anyway back on topic of the ride! looks like we are going to have great turnout and the weather looks promising as of now sweet!

  14. well the clip style masterlink is gone completely, i have no masterlink right now. and i dont remember if it was facing the right direction or not, as i didn't install it.

i had it on there and since last august and its been through many types of riding, so it is a viable option to just get this as a temporary fix.

its just that now it will be in the back of my head that the link can fall off.
