o i know steve would do the same thing if the roles were switched. although if we were going to have to do another tire swap...idk man i secretly wished he'd just made up his mind haha. 1st time is cool i'll help. 2nd time is alright fine. 3rd in an hour is jesus christ again? i just wired these bolts!
Ouch. New guy is already throwing down... I was talking about the trackday not the races like you assumed. Different dealios here. It's cool though newbies don't know any better. Thanks steve that's what I figured it was like most other trackday orgs but I wanted to make sure.
i'll probably be in for saturday. i really wanna just turn laps for once and not be worried about the racing stuff at the moment - i have wera for that
so 30 bucks for member surcharge then 80 for first race and 60/40/20 for the following races? an hour of open practice then 2 practice sessions after that followed by the races?
steve is sticking to northeast region so no grattan for him. his next race would be summit at the beginning of june. i'm still up in the air between nelson or grattan, i'm leaning towards nelson at the moment but it just depends on weather and school. what classes would I be able to run if i'm c ss in wera?
by the end of the day i was full throttle 6th gear all the way past the bumps on the backstraight and then at the pavement change i downshifted to 5th and a light brake then back on the gas before the kink to settle the bike and keep the front light over the bumps. are you doing nelson with motoseries or the trackday mid may or are you going to grattan with wera?
i was running 18's on saturday. not bad for having never been there and only one practice session in the morning. after comparing my vids and talking with other guys i know where to work better to pick up maybe 2-3 more seconds off my time.
didn't know you didn't make it and was a little concerned when they reported for crew of "330" to come to the ambulance immediately... good to know that wasn't you! i didn't go out today either even though I had rains ready to be mounted. I had a really good day on saturday and didn't want to fubar the overall weekend with a rain crash. instead I helped steve change out his tires three times in about an hours time with the indecisive weather...
he's been ill for quite some time now. the fact that he's dead is nice and all but im sure there has already been someone that has replaced him at the top for a while now.
10th in the same class. Would have done better had there not been a red flag restart. 1:18.02x was my fastest-not too bad for my first time at the track. Overall I actually like Nelson. It only got easier the faster my laps got.
i'd like to think i know what i'm doing lol, at least regarding the rider school since i just did it. i'll be there bike is done just gotta get the rest of the stuff packed and headed up with steve (sjc1000rr) around 430-5ish tonight
