It burns a little.

I got the rear brake figured out. after I bled all new fluid from the reservoir back and worked the piston in and out a few times then i adjusted the brake pedal and its great now not too soft not too touchy. I also decided to throw it down today just to get it out of the way goosed it over this stupid little bump of a jump and it tossed me off the back but not before I supermaned for a second and got my left thigh chewed up and spit out by the almost new rear tire. ill post picture of the carnage if anyone wants to see it.

rivet tools are cheap id just go to Lowes/Homedepot/menards and get one.

My uncle and I were just talking about this yesterday because his 01 RM 250 is way louder than mine even though we have the same pipe (different silencer though) and he said he repacks his with Fiber glass insulation. takes about 2 8' pieces and a dowel rod and packs it in. I personally think that its probably not the best idea, although ive seen fiberglass exhaust packing. I also think that he packs it too tight but I only have about a half hour on my dirt bike so what do I know....

I really wish I would have taken more but that was the last thing on my mind when i was putting it together. and most of those were just ones i took when my brother from florida wanted to see how it was going...

This.^^. The stock tires on all bikes are way more capable than 99.9% of riders.

This is all the pieces and parts and stuff I received from Hellmut. I heated up the cases to about 220 so I could just drop in the bearings which I had put in the freezer the day before. Redneck shop oven!! Cases together. Some of the beers I drank. Engine together Hellmuts undercoat job that for some reason or another just didn't want to stick. Wish it would have because it seems like it would have made for a nice frame. About 20 minutes later after some degreaser, water hose, scrub brush and wire brush. All the white is the factory powder coat. frame painted. Went with white because I figured when it gets chipped it will still have white factory powder coat under. And forks on. Engine in and swing arm and rear suspension on. seat and tank just sitting on to get an idea of what it will look like. Some people say that 2 strokes can't idle. That's crap. For some reason I can't get the rear break working. Gonna take the caliper apart right now and clean it and start at zero with the fluid. Hiring someone who has never done it before May be the worst idea in a while. haha. Jk. But I wanted it ready for the dirt drags and now it is. And that picture was right after I put the engine nothing was hooked up not cables ignition exhaust or plastics. That was only 2 days ago though. I'm uploading the photobucket app now. what about a 0 down payment lease? then really as long as you dont go over your miles you can get a new car every 3 years or so and most people get a new car shortly after its paid off anyway. just throwing out a different POV.

Well I started it today!!!!! i have a small oil leak from behind the front sprocket and the kick stater doesnt always engage, but I put it together all myself and it runs and rides awesome. so thats a huge weight off my shoulders. Just thought Id throw out an update for anyone interested. I also bought a pair of Fox Racing Pants and jersey, Thor Q1 Boots. and soon buying a Off road helmet. Any suggestions are welcome.

I love riding at night. Its one of the few times where I can just cruise and clear my mind. i normally just go whatever speed feels right but most the time its fairly slow just breathing in the clean calm air..

Obviously he is still in his first year of his endorsement. Which mean he has to by law wear a helmet.

Update on the build. I have the 2 center cases together. And almost all the components in the right case. Just have to finish buttoning up a few screws and the clutch packand the right side case cover can go on. I'm pretty excited that it's going faster than planned. I have to bring my frame down to Piqua this week for powder coating at AFI also.

I wear a pair of the icon boots. And they are a wide boot. But they are comfortable and don't look goofy off the bike.

Unreliable ^^^ I'd get a late 90s mustang or Camaro or transam verts or ttop car. With a stick and a v8 of course. Or a jeep wrangler. Top down doors off radio up.

So as I mentioned in another thread I have a Honda dealer about 3 miles away that can get in any parts but they basically all have to be ordered. No big deal so Im sitting there waiting for him to ring me out and notice this set of bars. Thinking to myself that the ones I have are very slightly tweeked, I ask how much.. His answer.. "Well Ive had them for about 2 year and they were given to me. so you can have them. As long as whenever you need something you come here to get it." DEAL!!!!!! They are Black Protaper Seven Eighths bars!! Im super excited. looked them up online and new they are about $70...

My question is The piston im planning on using in my cr250 has been used already (and I assume that its the one Hellmut was planning on using when he had the bike) but is it ok to use a piston with some build up. it doesnt seem like it wants to come off. or should I just get another one?

First Ride was on a '79 HD Lowrider. Then I rode my fathers 2001 Speed Triple. and even did a couple track days on it then I bought my 04 Daytona that I obviously still have. and just aquired a 1996 Honda CR250R... Thanks Hellmut!!
