I push my preference on those that I care about, that doesn't mean I want to legislate it... I'll try my best to convince friends that a helmet is the way to go, especially if you're going to be on roads you're unfamiliar with, or in heavy traffic, or traveling at higher speeds... but i refuse to vote to take away other people's liberties.

agree swingset... I get ~8000 on the tires i listed, I got 2500 out of a dunflop Qualifier (a tire that didn't have enough grip for my taste anyway) and about 1500 out of a metzeler M3 (that gripped like glue)

only tires I've had that lasted that long were pirelli diablo strada (8000), angel ST(7500), and I think the avon storms will run the distance, only a couple thousand on them so far though... Given, my bike is a little heavier, and a lot torquier than yours...

I scared the bejeezus out of a lady today, LOL she was turning left in town, and she just pulls across the other lane (mine) and waits for her lane to clear while chatting away on her cell phone...looking away from me so i give the brakes a tap, just to make sure they are working and then I roll up on her drivers door at the speed limit, and brake right at the last minute while nailing the horn... She turned my direction just before i hit the brakes and you could just see the terror on her face as she screamed into the phone (her window was up and I could hear it inside my helmet) I laughed so hard... I bet she won't be doing that again for a couple days.

my 67 gto did that if i let it idle in the parking lot for too long. i'd stomp on it leaving and the 4bbl would kick in, then it would die for a few seconds before the fuel started flowing again... but since it seems to be flooding more than it seems to be starving, i'd go with the weak spark. caused by dirty connections, weak coil, or...???

Btw after re-reading, weak spark is my vote...

Actually it's just a ways south of you, and there are awesome roads there... It just likes to wad up katanas

Don't take it to coshocton! Running problems could be carbs for sure, could also be weak spark, or bad compression when the heads heat up...

excellent learner bike IMO, torque will keep you from stalling, not ridiculously fast... rock solid reliability

I buy mine online, and have them shipped to Pauly's... (not really a good option for you)...
