  2. Swapping pads can be done without ever bleeding the fluid. Get yourself a shop manual, know your skills and abilities.
  3. Brake! BRAKE! FUCKING BRAKE!!! And you shouldn't do ANYTHING to them if you don't understand the proper use of bleeders.
  4. its good marketing... simple as that. Harley knows the people wanting to purchase a bike from them are looking for an image more than anything else. might I add HILARIOUS, and NOT at all why I ride my XX... But a good portion of the reason I ride the Dune Buggy. I get comments from everyone, people point and wave, and ask for rides almost every time I take it somewhere. It's loud as hell (stereo AND exhaust) and it just SCREAMS "look at me look at me look at me".
  5. this thread kinda reminds me of the self destruct button on the jixxer forum...
  6. really? I love mine...they work really well.
  7. precisely why I won't use a battery tender, they mask battery problems better than they prevent them (not that you really have a choice) If it were me, I'd get fed up with it and install a battery isolation switch on that Iti.
  8. I was gonna say, I've never heard of break pads, but I would never use them.
  9. I like the zrex, but no room for another bike...
  10. not mounted, just in the tank bag for now. MAN that's pricey.
  11. sounds like a win, similar to what I have going. Droid via speakers, playlist and nav if needed.
  12. potato potato potato... Agree with seafoam (PER DIRECTIONS! more isn't better) and it does sound like it's running pretty much perfect for a harley
  13. Thats exactly why people buy harleys, they want truck bed, or trailer decorations with poorly tuned motors that barely idle...your friend should push it off a cliff, and videotape the explosion.
  14. If replacing my current, id go bmw k1300s, if changing styles, its totally loaded wing.
  15. They are pretty stupid about it here, too
  16. no dice there, only 1 deputy car to worry about but there is still local PD's to worry about, not to mention highway patrol. deputies don't bother speeders much anyway. and no, our roads pretty much suck
  17. you don't go cwoozing on a F2... LOL
  18. 10 steps ahead of you, any motherf*ckers try breaking into my house, they are getting a big ass welt... damn right, this thing shoots bb's AND pellets...
  19. I'm going to second the PDS/Angel ST, i've rocked them the past 2 seasons I've had my bike, and have had nothing but good news. With my heavy ass bike, and poorly controlled right hand, I get between 7 and 8 thousand miles per rear, and at least double that for fronts. I'v never had any trouble with wet grip, and a few people have commented on how "throw" my bike around corners. The only other tire I'd run is the metzeler m3, but I'd be buying tires WAY more often. lol
  20. if it helps, and it's not obstructive when riding, why not? I've only seen them on wings before this though.
  21. to be fair, we have some of the lowest crime rates in the state anyway. Station avenue is considered a "high crime" area, and there are people on that road that leave their keys in the ignition. One reason I really enjoy living here. besides, this is the middle of redneck country, most everyone has an assortment of hunting rifles, shotguns and such already.
