  1. ditto... PROPS FOR A PRETTY REPSOL
  2. if the battery is getting weaker, it either means your charging system is failing, or the battery is losing capacity... if you have a weak battery, the tender "masks" it...then when you dont have the tender (riding out to an event or something) the problem pokes it's ugly head up. that's all i'm saying..if it can be charged, and it's fine then so be it, but if it's toast, and I can't tell because it's been on a tender.. i'm going to be pissed when i try to start it later without the tender.
  3. still...throw the battery tender in the garbage... if your battery starts to get weak, buy a new one, they aren't worth screwing with.
  4. true, but not everyone has a "qualifying" clunker to trade... I'm not saying the plan is peachy or flawless, just that the side effects are being over-estimated.
  5. I dislike battery tenders...they mask battery problems... if I go out to my bike, and it doesn't have enough juice to fire up, I'd rather know about it while it's in my own garage than out at an event somewhere. and I dunno where you buy your batteries, but mine haven't ever cost more than $60, even for the big cb750 batteries.
  6. that sounds all well and good, but if your control arm "failed" likely any control arm in the junkyard is not going to be in any better condition than the one that failed. This is a time when you would likely have to go to a parts store anyway... while i see your POV, it's not nearly as detrimental as one might think. the used car market...yeah I could see it taking a small hit, but not everyone who has these old cars is in the market for a brand new car either.
  7. i heard they get crushed...which on most cars that are being brought in...doesn't bother me much... Who wants a 93 cavalier with 180,000 miles on it? (especially with northeast ohio rust) anything that's salvageable or worth money probably won't be swapped in on this deal (especially since you have to prove you've owned the car for over a year)
  8. no thanks, i don't like altering the stability of the atom... maybe we could visualize positrons?
  9. you son of a b*tch I'd be pissed if that wasn't so funny... REP!
  10. i like things i can visualize... i have a hard time vizualizing electrons...

  14. no MJ, that's drain oil (used to reseal tires) i broke them down in an attempt to mask them off (which didn't work out well) and while they were waiting for primer, it rained, so i had to empty the water out.
  15. another update... some pix.. Made the shift handle out of my old 17 tooth front sprocket from the XX. looks pretty badass with the 33's on the back. front bumper is not staying red... white or black...haven't decided yet, along with the roll bar and fuel filler tube. enjoy still got to finish the interior, undercoat the sides, finish some wiring, make a center console, install the stereo, and I should be in business.
  16. rebel... you're better off on a moped... but at least it isn't a 883...
  17. i asked her... she didn't answer...*shrug* i have a luau the day before in marysville, so i'll be showin up
  18. so you're riding your rc51 down next weekend?
  19. come to think of it...it doesn't really matter HOW you locked that drawer... it would have been equally effective to throw a piece of duct tape over it...
