  1. Other than the fact that they don't order their trucks with trailer hitches, I suppose they wouldn't unless you gnarled up the bumper step with a hitch ball. And yeah, unlimited mileage on their retail rentals. You want to ask questions and get it documented if you get someone to deviate from their standard contract. If you do something with the truck that is specifically documented that you're not allowed to do (such as towing) and something happens, they are within their rights to cancel the contract and leave you holding a VERY large bag.
  2. I know that Enterprise has ecoboost f150s in their fleet, but they won't let you tow with anything in their retail fleet. I will tell you though, I rented a 5.0 v8 crew cab XLT for a trip to VA and found it to be a fantastic ride. Hauled my bike (diagonally) with the tailgate closed, and accommodated my wife, kids, dog, and I very well while averaging 19+ MPG highway. If I were buying one, I'd buy an Eco-boost XLT with 4WD and the longer full-size bed. That extra foot or so in the bed makes a HUGE difference.
  3. Glad they caught her. Getting rear ended is my biggest fear commuting on the bike down here. I've had some pretty close calls with people following too closely...
  4. No, the closure doesn't affect that route at all.
  5. My phone is corrupting all of the photos I've taken recently, so no photo proof, but I went to the Community Blood Center on Tuesday and gave a double platelet and single red cell donation using an apheresis machine. I didn't realize there was such a demand for platelets. The lady said they're kinda delicate and only good for about 5 days after donation.
  6. Next time you go out, try this route; From Maineville, take 22/3 East toward Morrow, turn Left on Stubbs Mill (the light before Valley Vinyards) then Right on Mason-Morrow Millgrove to follow the river to Morrow. Turn Left (North) on 123. Turn Left on Wilmington Road, then Left on Shawhan. If you stay on Shawhan, you can wind all the way back to South Lebanon. Great roads, clean turns, not too much traffic.
  7. I was out last night in that general vicinity as well. It was a great evening for a ride!
  8. Sorry we're going to miss you, Art!
  9. I know it isn't the kind of ride most folks around here are into, but I thought I'd ask; Is anyone else going to DC this weekend for Rolling Thunder? I'm going down and will be meeting my mom and dad for the ride to the wall on Sunday morning from The Pentagon. This is the 25th anniversary of the event, and likely the biggest ever. Estimates say potentially over a million bikes.
  10. +1, Print will dictate whether I order one.

    about me

First, Thank you for your service. Second; Welcome to OR! Great place to hang out on the interwebz.
  12. I've heard this before... If I get the job, I plan on trying to find a place with 5-10 acres out in the sticks somewhere. I live in a subdivision right now and having to deal with the HOA blows. Know anything about the schools in the area? My kids will be in the 7th and 4th grades next year, and I'd really like to make sure they're getting the best education I can afford. I'll happily look at smaller houses in order to get into a better school district.
  13. Applied for a new job yesterday, and hoping someone can give me some insight into the area I'm looking at. The new job will take me to the Sterling Heights area, just North of Detroit. I know Detriot is a proverbial excrement filled void, but the rest of the state seems to be pretty beautiful. Anyone have firsthand experience with the area?
  14. You've got my number dude! I'm just a couple minutes from you.
  15. Okay Doc, I grabbed the HD siggy bar that you made because I appreciate the time you took to make it, but did it really have to be pink?
  16. I'm sure we'll pull something together again sometime. Keep checking back.
  17. This is Ohio, man. You can't tell from one hour to the next what the weather is going to do. It was good meeting you guys. I apologize in advance, I won't remember your names, but I will recognize your faces. And just for the record, I want to point out the fact that there were 7 people there this afternoon, and exactly ONE motorcycle... The bike? A HARLEY! You guys should be ashamed! LOL!
  18. The rain has all but quit, and the clouds look to be thinning out. I'll wait here for a while if anyone wants to come down and hang out. @ Porky Capone's now.
  19. My bike is already wet... see you guys in a couple hours.
  20. I've been a member for two years, figure I'll maintain my membership indefinitely. I enjoy the magazine, and the roadside assistance is comforting. Incidentally, that roadside coverage applies to your family (same household) members too, whether you're in the car with them or not...
  21. Just got my "shipped" email. That was fast, +rep for you!
