I don't understand this... someone make it dumb for me?

I've got a 94 YJ. With the 2.5 4 cylinder and manual trans. Yes, the thing is gutless and noisy, and the fuel economy *might*have equal that of the 6, but for my purposes, it does just fine. It'll do 70 on the freeway, and since I don't drive it much more than 25-30 miles at a time, it's okay. I'd love to have the six, but frankly, those were out of my price range unless I wanted the optional "Flintstones road visibility package ". If all you want/need is a simple, relatively cheap, 4wd runabout, don't overlook the 4 cyl. YJ.

I had a small engine repair class in high school that was taught by his cousin. Teacher had a family photo in his desk to support his claim.

Had to scrape the windows this morning, so I elected to take the cage.

I don't think you understand... I WANT to read more stories like this one, but there don't seem to be many occasions where the local communities are tight knit enough to make these things happen.

I have applied for a job in Portland, Oregon and will be considering relocation, possibly in the very near future. The job will carry a significant pay raise and of course commensurate increase in responsibility. Does anyone here have any first hand experience with Portland and it's surrounding areas? I have two kids in school (3rd and 6th grade), so if this all shakes out, I'm going to need to know about schools, neighborhoods, stuff to do, etc... Any help?

I just thought I'd share a pic of my new (to me) daily. I sold my truck last Monday and spent the remainder of the week scouring CL for a fun daily that wouldn't break the bank and I might actually be able to turn a little profit on later. I ended up finding this '94 YJ Wrangler in Dayton with relatively minor rust, high milage, and good tires. It has a wheezer 4 cyl, 5 speed, and of course 4wd. I picked this on up with the aftermarket hard top and hard upper doors for $2100. Hoping for the best...

I've never had a scammer call me, but the e-mails drive me nuts! I've got a truck on CL right now that I finally decided to hide my e-mail in the ad. I just feel that if they're interested enough to call, I've at least got an opportunity for a sale.

The lack of phone number in the ad bothers me, but it doesn't have most of the tell-tale signs of CL scam ads I've seen before. Could be legit.

I was on 270 a couple of years ago when a garbage truck blew a tire less than 50 feet ahead of me. When that thing popped, I thought I was going to die! There was no warning, just going home on a nice day with the windows down, and the sunroof open, and then POW! The front of my car got peppered with gravel and debris, and the truck immediately moved over to the shoulder. I nearly pooped myself.

I met met Mojoe at Kenny's funeral a couple of years ago. Very cool guy, and now finding out that he is selflessly serving this great nation of ours just serves to bolster the amount of respect I have for him. I am really terrible about writing letters and sending packages, but I freely offer up my prayers for safety, mercy, and protection for Joe and his unit, in addition to all of our troops over there. Rode to work this morning, and it seemed to run just fine, but I know from history that when it gets really hot, performance is down, and she pings a little bit down low in the RPMs. My old tech air cooled Sporty likes the cool air MUCH better!

I had a 72 Lemans Luxury for a while a couple of years ago... I liked that car a lot, even if it did have the gutless Pontiac 350 2bbl.

In Cincinnati: 275 East to 71 North ramp just across the first bridge of the interchange, there are two potholes. They are both in the left wheel track, the first is several inches deep, and runs lengthwise in the lane, shaped just right to swallow and grab a motorcycle tire. The second one cuts across the left tire lane, just as deep, but only a couple of inches wide. If you have to hit one or the other, pick the second one. Best bet though is to stay on the right side of the 71 North exit lane. **** Edit ***** These have been fixed, but I'm not sure the repair is much better than the holes were.

Definitely an F150 wheel...
